00:02:30:17 - 00:02:42:22 Stephanie Outside of the show. She competes professionally in worldwide competitions as a sponsored athlete. She holds two world champion titles and took first in the first ever World Cup event in 2023.

00:02:43:00 - 00:02:52:01 Seth After graduating high school last year, May of 2023. She spent the following year solo traveling the world.

00:02:52:03 - 00:03:01:14 Stephanie In February 2024. She traveled to Sierra Leone, Africa, to build an obstacle course for children at an orphanage as well.

00:03:01:16 - 00:03:12:17 Seth While continuing to train and compete just as hard, she hopes to continue traveling, start a speaking career, grow a business, and inspire others to accomplish their own personal goals in life.

00:03:12:19 - 00:03:17:01 Stephanie Her main message is persistence over perfection. Amen.

00:03:17:03 - 00:03:21:00 Addy Well, thank you both so much for having me. I'm so excited to get to talk with you guys.

00:03:21:02 - 00:03:47:00 Seth Well, as you know, and our listeners know Brittany Crane, get out there, girl. When we were doing an episode a few weeks ago, she said, you need to connect with Addie Herman. You need to know this girl. We just hosted her on her show. This girl is wise beyond her years. And she was just she was just overflowing Addie with, with just praise and admiration.

00:03:47:02 - 00:03:52:12 Addy Brittany is amazing. it was an honor to get to do her podcast, too. You guys are all amazing.

00:03:52:14 - 00:04:02:01 Stephanie I was going to say, you know, coming from Brittany, that's such high praise because she, you know, is such a stellar woman. And so anybody that she recommends, I know it's going to be quality.

00:04:02:07 - 00:04:03:02 Addy Well thank you.

00:04:03:05 - 00:04:12:07 Seth I need to find your page one. There it is. Just kidding. That's why we edit it. I'm tempted just to take all the papers and just, like, throw them in here.

00:04:12:09 - 00:04:12:22 Stephanie You can.

00:04:12:22 - 00:04:17:23 Addy I'm not going to, I need you. There you go. All right.

00:04:18:02 - 00:04:19:22 Seth Let's just go off script.

00:04:20:00 - 00:04:20:20 Addy There you go.

00:04:20:22 - 00:04:27:18 Stephanie That's so you. And then there's me. And I'm like, I need the script. I can't do this without the script.

00:04:27:20 - 00:04:29:07 Addy I get it, I get both.

00:04:29:09 - 00:04:35:06 Stephanie So, Addie, what are you most passionate about right now? And what are you doing about it?

00:04:35:07 - 00:04:56:13 Addy So some current passions of mine would be Ninja Warrior, obviously, and then entrepreneurial goals and traveling. So those are like the three main ones in my life right now. But overall, in all of my life, my main passion is God, which is really cool because he's intertwined in everything, the center of everything. So it makes everything else 100 times better too.

00:04:56:13 - 00:05:17:13 Addy But with Ninja Warrior right now, I competed on the Women's Championship, which will have aired. So that was super fun, super exciting. And then I have some big competitions coming up soon. So the first ever Olympic trial run is going to be in California this summer. And they had like a trial for the trial last year, which I won.

00:05:17:15 - 00:05:39:18 Addy So I'm really hoping to defend that title this year. So I've been training really hard for that, hoping that goes well. And then with my business goals, I actually started a Ninja warrior class at my house. We have a 50 by 50ft home rig that me and my dad built together a few years ago. So I started teaching kids in Pembroke and we're up to like 60 kids per week.

00:05:39:20 - 00:05:54:11 Addy So it really took off. And it's been amazing to get to like, share that with kids because I've loved it for so long. It's what got what got me into Ninja in the first place is going to a class like the one that I'm having now. So to be able to share that with them has been absolutely incredible.

00:05:54:12 - 00:06:16:16 Addy And then traveling. So when I graduated high school, like you guys said already, I decided to travel the world. It was mostly within the United States. But then I also went in Sierra Leone and Barbados. So Barbados is very competition, which was the most fun comp I've ever been to. And then Sierra Leone, I got to build a ninja rig for kids in an orphanage and also teach them about God.

00:06:16:22 - 00:06:25:06 Addy So my life has been crazy busy recently with all of this stuff, but it's all things that I am so passionate about that it's been the most fun time ever.

00:06:25:09 - 00:06:36:13 Stephanie Yes, you're talking about. I'm like, wow, what a fulfilling life, you know? And at such a young age. It's so inspiring, so inspiring for me, amazing fulfilled life.

00:06:36:13 - 00:06:57:11 Seth That's actually one of the one of the, I want to say the sound bites, about the show. That's what we want to do is present, fulfilled life and and and interview women who amidst trials, hardships, setbacks, injury. I think we're going to get into that who who are are living their best lives right. And living a fulfilled life.

00:06:57:12 - 00:07:20:03 Seth And at the heart of it for you is God, your you know and preshow we talked a little about about that. It reminded me, of these little girls that you met pre show our two youngest A.D. and the reason I wanted them to meet you. I mean, I want them to meet women of faith who are doing all kinds, of all kinds of things in life, right?

00:07:20:03 - 00:07:42:15 Seth It's not just this cookie colored, cookie cutter, vanilla, boring package. Right. And when you what I love in your intro, you said, I love all of these things. These are all my passions, but they're all tied through one common thread. Or maybe for you, like a steel cable.

00:07:42:17 - 00:07:44:03 Addy Yes.

00:07:44:05 - 00:07:58:13 Seth And that's your relationship with God. And the priorities. So we were having this conversation recently. I think you're going to get a kick out of this story. where were we talking about? I'm trying to. Oh, so we were listening to a country music song. Do you listen to any country music?

00:07:58:15 - 00:08:02:04 Addy I do some, I'm not, like, super big into it, but sometimes.

00:08:02:08 - 00:08:04:20 Seth That will change. So.

00:08:04:22 - 00:08:06:20 Addy Yeah. Okay.

00:08:06:22 - 00:08:14:01 Seth Alexa, add Addie Herman to the Molly's Country playlist. shared.

00:08:14:03 - 00:08:14:13 Addy so.

00:08:14:13 - 00:08:43:05 Seth There's this there's this, there's this country song by a by a singer. Ian. Music. Okay. And, the whole point of this song is this young man's marrying this woman and this and the. And he talking about in this love song. The reason I love her so much is that I'm second place to God. Right? And I love that perspective from a man, too, who's like, yeah, I know my place.

00:08:43:07 - 00:09:06:09 Seth Like I'm number two in her life. And because she loves God so much, she's going to be an amazing and amazing wife, right? Yeah. And so Hannah, whom you met, who's eight, we're driving down the road jamming out and I'm singing this. She's like, dad, what does this mean? He loves somebody. Like, what does he mean she loves somebody else more than her husband?

00:09:06:11 - 00:09:21:17 Stephanie Like, I think some of it's because she refers to God as him. Right. And so, you know, an eight year old mind, it's like, well, wait, I thought they were together. Like, why does she love him more? And and he's okay with this. Like, he's he's not just okay, but he's like, yes, this is what I want. You know?

00:09:21:17 - 00:09:23:06 Stephanie That's why I love her.

00:09:23:08 - 00:09:24:01 Addy Yeah.

00:09:24:03 - 00:09:42:14 Seth So I explain that well, in her life, the reason that he loves her so much is that God is number one for her. And if they're married as husband and wife and the husband is number two. Because if things are right with God, then things can be right in your marriage. And so you got to make sure that you get these priorities correct.

00:09:42:14 - 00:10:00:17 Seth And so it's kind of been a theme the last week and a half in our home, we've had a little family discussions. When we have family scripture study about who's number one, you know, and I'll just pop quiz who's number one. And I'll say, You and mom. I'm like, like, oh, God and Jesus, right. Heavenly Father and Jesus are number one in our life.

00:10:00:22 - 00:10:07:20 Seth And your number two, mom and dad, you're number two. And then they start going down and so-and-so's number three and so on. And so this is kind of funny.

00:10:07:22 - 00:10:08:23 Addy Yeah.

00:10:09:01 - 00:10:28:00 Seth So we have a we have a testimony meeting in our in our congregation this past Sunday. So we all gather in fasting and Hannah goes up in front of the congregation of, you know, 150, 200 people. And she's I just want to, you know, I just want to bear my testimony. I want to share what I believe about Jesus.

00:10:28:00 - 00:10:33:11 Seth I love God and Jesus there. Number one. And then I can't remember who is number two.

00:10:33:12 - 00:10:35:01 Addy I don't think she said, you see that number?

00:10:35:04 - 00:10:39:01 Seth And then and my mom is number three.

00:10:39:03 - 00:10:40:11 Addy That's so funny.

00:10:40:13 - 00:10:42:13 Seth That's it. Yeah. Everybody can.

00:10:42:13 - 00:10:43:13 Stephanie Hear some people behind.

00:10:43:13 - 00:10:48:04 Addy Laughing, I think. so did you,

00:10:48:06 - 00:10:51:10 Seth A little off script. I already through my papers.

00:10:51:12 - 00:10:52:18 Addy Yeah.

00:10:52:19 - 00:11:16:07 Seth What is your experience with other adults your age? So young adults and their journey in faith. What what are you seeing amongst your peers and their priorities in life? And you, you've been traveling. You get to travel a lot. You meet people from different backgrounds, meet athletes from different backgrounds. what's been your experience?

00:11:16:12 - 00:11:35:04 Addy Yeah, well, it's actually it's amazing because the Ninja Warrior community is unlike any other community I've ever been a part of. the people in it are so uplifting and encouraging all the time. Like, it'll be, I'll be racing someone and they still want me to do my best because they know that I'll push them to do their best.

00:11:35:04 - 00:11:54:10 Addy And it's just that kind of like competitive nature while being so uplifting of other people. So that's truly been amazing. And within that, I found that a lot of people are Christian and have faith in Ninja, which has been so cool because I'll be at competitions and people will come up to me and be like, do you want to pray before you run or I'll go up to other people?

00:11:54:10 - 00:12:15:12 Addy Do you want me to pray for you and to be able to be doing my sport and have people coming up to me asking if I want them. They want me to pray for them, like it's it's just amazing. So overall within Ninja, it's been it's I don't know, I guess it's helped me with my faith so much more than any other sport community I've been a part of, which has been awesome.

00:12:15:12 - 00:12:31:04 Addy But I also can say there were times in my life where I definitely had my priorities very wrong, and there were times where I had ninja above God. Not even knowing that I did. I never would have said Ninja was above God, but it was the way that I was living in the way that I was viewing my sport.

00:12:31:04 - 00:12:53:17 Addy It definitely was. I remember like a specific time actually. I was at a competition and had four races, and I had to win one of them to move on, and I ran the first three and sailed on like the stupidest obstacle on all three of them. So it was just a silly mistake. I didn't even know it was happening, but I had trained harder, like harder than I ever had.

00:12:53:17 - 00:13:11:16 Addy I think in my whole life for this. It was around a year ago now, and before the fourth race, I was crushed, mentally crushed. I was like, I don't even want to do this last race. Like, this is it for me. After this, I'm probably going to be done with Ninja. Like, clearly it's not my thing. And I was sitting by myself journaling and it just hit me.

00:13:11:21 - 00:13:36:20 Addy Someone DM'd me on Instagram saying, my daughter looks up to you and it hit me. And I was like, this is so much more than competing. Like, this is so much more than me trying to hit a buzzer or me not failing an obstacle like, a role model for these younger girls looking up to me. And I was once that same young girl, like I was once watching the show, watching my favorite women on the show, looking up to them, and it hit me.

00:13:36:20 - 00:13:56:07 Addy And I remember I wrote down a prayer in my journal, and it was crazy looking back at it because I said, God, please help me to make you my number one identity. Help me to make you my priority and win or lose on this race. Just help me to be a light for you. And I ended up winning that race, and I found the prayer in my notes on my phone like five months later.

00:13:56:09 - 00:14:12:08 Addy And I was like, this is crazy because that's when my mindset really shifted for the first time. And that's kind of the mindset that I've tried to carry with me through the rest of my competing. So that was like the first moment for me in Ninja, where everything kind of shifted and I was like, all right, my priorities have to stay God at the top.

00:14:12:08 - 00:14:25:20 Stephanie And actually made me tear up. You know, just thinking the impact that you are having on so many people and how just that one little message, you know, could inspire you to keep going and also turn to God more.

00:14:25:22 - 00:14:41:04 Addy Yeah, it was it was crazy for me even, because I remember even finding it in my phone and being like, shocked and being like, that was such a God moment because I know how I felt before that race and after that race, it was just a different kind of joy that I had. Like, I wasn't even happy because I cleared.

00:14:41:04 - 00:14:45:23 Addy I was happy because, like, my identity was in something that couldn't be taken away. Beautiful.

00:14:46:01 - 00:15:00:10 Stephanie So you talked about how, kind of at the beginning or how you got started in Ninja. I was going to a class kind of like what you're doing right now for others. And so what got you interested in Ninja in the first place?

00:15:00:12 - 00:15:23:01 Addy So when I was younger, I was in every sport imaginable. I did I did literally everything, and I never was good at team sports. I think I just like felt too bad when I lost for my team or like missed a play or something. So I stuck with this over sport, rock climbing, gymnastics, swimming, things like that. I even did cross country for like a season, but nothing ever clicked for me.

00:15:23:01 - 00:15:41:11 Addy It was. I always loved parts of the sport. I was always super competitive, especially having two younger brothers. But nothing clicked until Ninja and I got into Ninja because I ended up having a pretty bad ankle injury in gymnastics, and I got an X-ray at first and it came up negative, so I competed on it for a season.

00:15:41:11 - 00:15:57:10 Addy So I was like six months later and it turns out it was broken just super small. So by the end of those six months, I was like begging my mom, please take me back. Like it still really hurts my coach making me compete on it. And she took me back and they were like seven small little pieces of bone chipped off.

00:15:57:12 - 00:16:19:06 Addy So then it was like six months of being in a boot over the summer. And during that time I never missed gymnastics. Like I really didn't. I missed the conditioning and the competing, but never the sport itself. So I was like, all right, it's time to find something new. We always watched American Ninja Warrior on TV as like our family movie night, which is so funny to think about now, but.

00:16:19:06 - 00:16:35:21 Addy So my mom found a super local ninja gym. It was like 15 minutes from my house. I started and immediately fell in love with it. And this was when I was about 11 years old. So once I started, it was my favorite thing to do. I never looked back. Yeah, the rest is just history. I've been all in since that moment.

00:16:35:23 - 00:16:37:05 Stephanie That's so cool. What?

00:16:37:11 - 00:16:42:15 Seth I'm just laughing. Oh, what a great story. I'm laughing that I'm laughing at your your reaction.

00:16:42:15 - 00:16:57:19 Stephanie Oh, you know, it kind of actually reminds me of Steph recently. You know, in the last few years he's had a few injuries like he was playing basketball and his ankle literally was like an L like his ankle folded in. And yeah.

00:16:57:22 - 00:16:58:19 Seth During the game.

00:16:59:00 - 00:17:13:22 Stephanie It was horrible to watch the the replay. Our daughter was filming it. Yeah. And I was like oh my goodness I can't I can't like I'm an empathize I feel other people's pain. Yeah. And I'm like this is too much for me. But when we were in the game and he did that and he came back, sit down.

00:17:13:22 - 00:17:24:16 Stephanie And you know they did a timeout. And then he's he's like kind of getting himself ready to go back out on the court. I'm like, what are you doing. He's like I'm going to go play. I'm like, no, you're not.

00:17:24:18 - 00:17:26:01 Addy yeah. Yeah. I'm like.

00:17:26:06 - 00:17:40:20 Stephanie You know, maybe we'll stay and watch if you want to. But like, there's no way I'm letting you as your wife get back out on that court. And I don't usually say that kind of stuff. I'm like, I'm not your mom. You go do what you want. But this time I'm like, no, no, that was too bad of an injury.

00:17:40:20 - 00:17:43:06 Stephanie We should actually be going to the hospital right now.

00:17:43:09 - 00:17:45:17 Seth I'm going to cinch it up. I can finish the game.

00:17:45:19 - 00:17:56:22 Addy He totally does. Like, I totally get that feeling now. Like I've. I've gotten so many injuries where I'm like, let me just finish this competition and then I'll deal with it. Like things like that. I get it, I get it.

00:17:57:00 - 00:17:59:16 Seth You recently had an injury, right?

00:17:59:16 - 00:18:01:02 Addy Yeah. Yeah. What's going.

00:18:01:02 - 00:18:01:19 Seth On there?

00:18:01:21 - 00:18:22:09 Addy Yeah. So with my ankle, it's. I guess I don't even know how bad it necessarily is yet because I haven't fully gotten my whole, like, path to recovery figured out. but I was in a competition two weekends ago, and it was a three stage competition. It was a local comp. I was super excited for it, but it wasn't like this huge comp, so nothing big.

00:18:22:09 - 00:18:40:01 Addy And on the last obstacle, I landed in between two mats and the way that I landed. Like I couldn't replicate it even if I tried to, but my ankle, kind of like you were just saying, just folded completely. And I thought it was a sprain at first, and then the pain was so bad I was like, I've sprained my ankle before, like multiple times.

00:18:40:01 - 00:18:58:13 Addy This is not a sprain. So we were thinking it was a partial tear. And then about a week later I got an MRI, which I'm super thankful for because usually takes way longer, but it ended up being two full hairs, two sprains, a partial tear, and two fractures. So there's just a lot going on with it right now.

00:18:58:13 - 00:19:17:00 Addy I have to be in a boot for four weeks and then they're going to evaluate for surgery. So right now they gave me an estimated recovery of like 3 to 6 months. But it could be faster or slower. So that kind of that definitely threw a curveball in all my plans because like I said, I have that comp in California in July.

00:19:17:00 - 00:19:32:12 Addy And so I really don't know yet if I'm going to be able to do it. But I'm so thankful that I did figure out my identity before this happened, because if this would have happened a year ago, I can tell you I'd be crushed right now. Like I would not be hanging out with friends. I would not still be going to the gym.

00:19:32:12 - 00:19:48:00 Addy I would be absolutely crushed. So it really is all in God's timing that he gave me that time to figure out my priorities and my identity before this happened, because now I have that to lean on, and I know that I'm so much more than my sport now. So yes, it's upsetting, but it's not crushing.

00:19:48:04 - 00:19:52:06 Seth The Lord giveth, the Lord taketh. Blessed be the name of the Lord.

00:19:52:08 - 00:19:54:15 Addy 100%. Yep. Well that's.

00:19:54:15 - 00:19:57:20 Stephanie Great. Well, we're praying that it's faster.

00:19:57:22 - 00:19:59:22 Addy Thank you, I need to.

00:20:00:00 - 00:20:14:11 Seth I was seriously just saying rally cry, rally cry. Everybody, we need to pray for Addie and, you know, and leave it to the Lord. Do everything that you can. But I think it's just so powerful because it's easy to be seduced by your success.

00:20:14:13 - 00:20:15:17 Addy

00:20:16:01 - 00:20:38:06 Seth to be enveloped in in kind of the identity that you create. Right. And that's the unique balance about life is that God has, you have latent talents inside of you and you don't necessarily know what they are. Maybe it's you're in you're in gymnastics, you're in cross-country. You're I'm, I'm listening to you. I'm thinking, well, yeah, that's God's plan.

00:20:38:06 - 00:21:03:08 Seth I can see you did all of these other things, all of these other modalities, which made you better for Ninja. Right, right. But at the same time, there's a balance. There you go. And follow your passions. And that's how you serve God. And he wants you to just, like, enjoy it. Like go out there and have a great time crushing the course.

00:21:03:10 - 00:21:18:00 Seth Right. And being the last woman standing, I'll forget it. The last person standing right. and at the same time, you know, sometimes there's a 90 degree turn, and I don't mean with our ankles.

00:21:18:02 - 00:21:19:03 Addy I do.

00:21:19:05 - 00:21:25:19 Seth That too. That too. You're talking about being in the boot. So. So how active are you right now? In the boot? What are you doing?

00:21:25:21 - 00:21:45:13 Addy a little more active than I should be, but I'm trying really, really hard. Stay off of it. I've been doing so. I'll do. Obstacle is still that I know I can't fall, which there's definitely a blurry line there. since you can definitely fail any obstacle but things low to the ground, and then I can wait.

00:21:45:13 - 00:22:00:17 Addy I can be weight bearing, which is a huge plus. Is that would have been way worse if I couldn't. So it's been it's been all right. Definitely an adjustment. And it just got warm where I am too. So it's been pretty sad because we live on a lake. So I was looking forward to like wake surfing and all that.

00:22:00:17 - 00:22:17:06 Addy Like I said, it's okay. And I think one of the first things that I thought when I got like my MRI results back was like, I've had I've had time now, I've had like a year to build up this idea of my identity. And I really feel like it was God kind of saying, like, okay, now, now is your time to use that.

00:22:17:06 - 00:22:35:16 Addy Like now is your time to show, to show other people that that's true and that you're not just saying that because you're off and winning competitions and stuff like that, but you actually mean it. And so I really just try to look at it that way and use it in that way, and not only teaching other people through my injury, but teaching myself like I've had to lean on God more than ever.

00:22:35:16 - 00:22:53:20 Addy Prioritize. Prioritizing time with him has become something I've done way more, just to be honest, just because I've had that extra time. So I think it was God really telling me to slow down and remember. Remember to look at him and keep him first. So like I said, upsetting. But I know it's for a reason, so it'll be good.

00:22:53:22 - 00:22:56:11 Seth Absolutely, absolutely. I love your perspective.

00:22:56:11 - 00:23:06:06 Stephanie So, Abby, can you share with us your experiences with overcoming self-doubt or imposter syndrome? And what advice would you have for women struggling with these?

00:23:06:07 - 00:23:28:19 Addy For sure. I've had problems with self-doubt and imposter syndrome for a long time, and I think for a while I didn't know that I did, which made it even worse. I thought that I thought that it was just natural. I thought, this is what all people think, like imposters and drum thinking, you're not qualified to do things. And for me, I just got diagnosed actually with ADHD recently, not super recently.

00:23:28:19 - 00:23:47:03 Addy I was like a year ago, but later in my life. So a lot of the things that I was struggling with, I didn't know why and I thought it was normal. I have always been a perfectionist, which has been a strength and a weakness, a strength now that I know how to use it, but a weakness for the majority of my life.

00:23:47:05 - 00:24:09:00 Addy I've always just wanted to please everyone. And I've had this fear of disappointing people. For as long as I can remember. And so imposter syndrome and self-doubt kind of just goes along with that. Because you can never please everyone. You can never be perfect all of the time. It's not even good to be. That's not we're human. Like, that's not how unfortunately, that's not how we operate.

00:24:09:00 - 00:24:32:20 Addy That's not ever going to be realistic for anyone to obtain. So my journey kind of, I guess working through that is because of Ninja. So I am so grateful for this sport. But it really started. I'd say there is a season in Ninja where I got second place at like every single competition for the entire year. So like every comp I'd go to, I'd always be so close to winning, but not there.

00:24:32:22 - 00:24:57:18 Addy And it was super frustrating because this was off of like a winning streak for me. So I went from winning every comp to the second place, and I started really doubting myself and my ability. I even started doubting, I guess, I don't know, I wanted to be lighter so that I could do obstacles better, which definitely ended up hurting me in the long run because I became obsessed with eating perfectly, working out perfectly.

00:24:57:18 - 00:25:15:18 Addy Everything was a routine, and if I did not follow that routine in my mind, I failed. So I just it was an obsession and it was an unhealthy obsession. And I'd say to get over that, it took a lot of people who truly love me coming beside me and saying, Addie, this is not you. Like, this is not who you are.

00:25:15:23 - 00:25:34:02 Addy You don't have to do anything to make us proud. And I remember again, actually, this is my sister who told me that she she told me to start treating myself like I treat my best friend. And I wouldn't be mad at my best friend for not eating perfectly one day, or going and having ice cream with her friends for one day.

00:25:34:04 - 00:25:56:15 Addy And so for me, I was like, shoot like something does need to change. It was a slippery slope. I was way too far into everything before I even realized what was happening. So with the whole food obsession thing, I lost so much muscle. It made my competing worse. And that's when I started seeking help. And I think a lot of women do understand that they get to that point and get to that low point, but are still afraid to seek help.

00:25:56:15 - 00:26:10:01 Addy And I know it was that way for me. Like, I almost didn't want help. I was like, I can do this on my own. I wanted to get out of it on my own. I was like, I got myself into this mess. I can get out. So for women, I would say there are people around you for a reason.

00:26:10:02 - 00:26:25:20 Addy There are people in your life who love you and who God has put there for a reason. Don't be afraid to lean on them, and don't be afraid to ask for help, because I know if it weren't for the people around me, I would have. I would have never made it out of the traps I had set for myself or the limitations I had put on my life.

00:26:25:22 - 00:26:29:01 Addy So that's I guess that's my main piece of advice regarding that.

00:26:29:05 - 00:26:53:14 Seth So you talked about being a perfectionist and and it's your strength. It can be a weakness. I remember being in the ministry full time as a 19 year old young man, and really seeking to be obedient, because I know that obedience is the first law of heaven, right? And and my spiritual mentor in the field, I was actually in, in Asia.

00:26:53:14 - 00:27:05:02 Seth I was in Japan full time. And and he said, you know what? You have the strength. You just need to make sure that that strength doesn't become your weakness.

00:27:05:04 - 00:27:05:21 Addy

00:27:05:23 - 00:27:23:21 Seth And you have this main message which I feel like is I'm listening to you. I'm thinking, well, I can see this because I'm on the outside of your life. You know, we're observing. Oh, I can see how this this strength that I had, he has. And the battling to make sure that that strength doesn't become your weakness is now your message.

00:27:23:23 - 00:27:26:19 Seth what what is that main message that you're sharing?

00:27:26:20 - 00:27:46:19 Addy Yeah. So right now, or it has been for a while, is persistence over perfection. Getting back up after you fall is so much more important than just striving to be perfect. And my perfectionism led me to so much fear in my life and so on. So many different levels. Not just in Ninja. I noticed at first in Ninja, but in life too.

00:27:46:19 - 00:28:04:09 Addy I was afraid of disappointing people. Like I said, I was afraid of making wrong decisions or messing up God's plans for my life, which now I know can't even happen. but then in Ninja, I remember going into the gym and being afraid to do obstacles because I didn't want to fall in front of people. I didn't want to fail.

00:28:04:11 - 00:28:18:22 Addy And it hit me one time I walked in and my coach said to me straight up, he was like, you're going to run this course, and I want you to fail. If you're not failing this course, it means you're not trying hard enough. He's like, once you fill in those obstacles, obviously we want you to get them and we'll work on it together.

00:28:19:00 - 00:28:39:00 Addy But you can be doing so much more than you're doing right now if you let yourself fail. And it carried over into my life more than I can even tell you. I stopped being afraid of what people would think. And that's why that's the reason why I decided to take a gap year and not go right into college, which has benefited my life more than anything else.

00:28:39:00 - 00:28:56:14 Addy And then in Ninja, persisting through all those second places, persisting through times where I wanted to quit, getting back up again and doing it. That's the reason why I have the achievements that I have now. I would not have the titles that I have now if I was perfect all the time. Because to fail to fail is to grow.

00:28:56:14 - 00:29:13:16 Addy If you're going to be afraid of failure, that means you're afraid of growth. And it took me a long time to realize that. But once I stepped out of my comfort zone in that way, it's been the biggest, I guess, step forward in my life. Even though it sounds like like failure obviously sounds bad, but now it's just a push forward, not a setback.

00:29:13:16 - 00:29:17:21 Addy So that's what I hope to share with everyone in Ninja and outside Ninja.

00:29:17:23 - 00:29:37:15 Seth I think when you look at athletes, I think it's easy to look at athletes because we see them competing. But we can apply this to business, right? If, if, if you're on the road to recover your faith, you can look at, you know, that the people I don't stay ahead of you, but the people that you feel who are being successful in their faith.

00:29:37:17 - 00:29:50:04 Seth And it is so easy to look and say it just came together for them, right? Or you know, well, they're there, you know, they they've got these accolades. They're always winning.

00:29:50:06 - 00:29:50:16 Addy Yeah.

00:29:50:16 - 00:30:06:22 Seth And when you're not in that competition, it's so easy to look at the winners and say, well that's you know, they look at they judge you and, and and frankly and this is so dangerous, they judge themselves by that little that little time on the podium.

00:30:07:00 - 00:30:07:06 Addy Yeah.

00:30:07:06 - 00:30:24:19 Seth Right. Yeah. Where listen like you've fallen more. You have fallen more times than I have in my life when it comes to ninja. And that's why you're where you are. And that's why that's why you're on the podium and I'm in the stands.

00:30:24:21 - 00:30:25:05 Addy Yeah.

00:30:25:06 - 00:30:32:22 Seth And that's a choice like I but just not being afraid to fail. And I just, I think that's so powerful. What can you repeat again what your coach said.

00:30:32:22 - 00:30:49:08 Addy So I walked in and he said if you're not failing this course then you're doing something wrong. You need to be failing. And that's how we're going to grow. That was was the point of his message, and he didn't even mean it in any other way than exactly how he said it. Like try harder on this course. But for me, it just carried so much more weight.

00:30:49:13 - 00:31:01:05 Stephanie Yeah. I loved the part where you talked about how, you know, failing equals growth, and if you're afraid to fail, you're afraid to grow. Yeah. Like that really hit me. Oh my goodness. Yeah.

00:31:01:05 - 00:31:22:05 Addy And I think, I think in my own life even I would just wait for the fear to kind of leave too. And I think what people need to realize is sometimes you need to do it afraid, because once you do it, afraid. For me, this was an obstacles and again translated into my life. I was terrified of this obstacle called the Sky hooks, where you take a ring and hop it from like one hook to another.

00:31:22:06 - 00:31:38:00 Addy And this is like when I first started, when I was like 12, I was terrified, and my coach kept getting me trying to get me to do it. And finally I did it. And she was like, good, now do it again and come in here every day and do it again. And now it's my favorite obstacle ever. Like I've advanced in it so much.

00:31:38:00 - 00:31:54:12 Addy I can do cool stuff on it, but you have to be willing to do it afraid, which is so hard to get yourself mentally to do. But when you do things afraid, that's when you're going to get the best outcome from it. And that's when you're going to grow resilience in your mind more than anything. So I think that's just another really important point.

00:31:54:18 - 00:32:19:05 Stephanie I can tell you starting this podcast. I mean, I've probably said this on every episode because it's always come up, but like this type of a thing, especially knowing that it's being recorded and it's being sent out to whoever wants to see it, you know, is so out of my comfort zone, so out of my comfort zone. But I can tell that, you know, the more we do it and the more I step into that fear and just put it in God's hands and say, I'm just going to be me.

00:32:19:11 - 00:32:26:02 Stephanie The more that I'm growing and I'm getting so much out of doing these podcasts and interviewing people than I ever thought that I would.

00:32:26:06 - 00:32:47:21 Addy That's so cool. And it's such a testament to how God says he makes like he shows his strength in our weakness. That's when he shows that he's there and that he's strong for us. Because if I were doing any of this on my own, I couldn't. I just straight up couldn't do it. And so to be able to show that I am leaning on God and that it's his strength alone just has been a huge part of my platform.

00:32:48:01 - 00:33:07:00 Stephanie I love that I'm learning so much more about, you know, people specifically you, but also others in, you know, this ninja course that I had never even thought about. And there's so much more depth to it. You know, kind of like we just talked about how you see people do it and, you know, you can be a fangirl of it and think it's awesome.

00:33:07:00 - 00:33:10:06 Stephanie And but wow, there's so much more, so much more of this.

00:33:10:06 - 00:33:12:02 Addy Yeah. 100%. Yeah.

00:33:12:07 - 00:33:19:15 Seth What does your training look like in order to to bring out that best in you?

00:33:19:19 - 00:33:42:13 Addy So Ninja is weird because it doesn't really have an off season right now because there's the show and then there's the sport. So it makes it very confusing. But on my typical training schedule, physically training, I'd be going to the gym five days a week for the Ninja gym five days a week, and then on top of that, three days at a regular gym and then home workouts every day.

00:33:42:13 - 00:34:01:22 Addy So I do conditioning and obstacle training mentally, which I used to not care about it all I've learned every morning I wake up, I prioritize what I call quiet time. So I read a devotional, I pray, and I journal just journal my thoughts. It helps me collect myself. I write down my goals and I write down my identity.

00:34:01:22 - 00:34:23:14 Addy So the things that can't change. I'm a child of God. That's my main identity, that that is my identity. But then kind of my goal is just seeking to be a light to other people and to influence other people, to inspire other people. And then my goals and ninja, my goals in business, my goals with next year and it kind of just keeps it fresh in my mind, like, this is who I am, this is what I'm striving after.

00:34:23:19 - 00:34:41:14 Addy But either way, I'm a child of God. God's got me and it's taken so much pressure off of me in ninja and in life in general to be perfect. And once I started doing that, once I started journaling and writing down those, I guess, affirmations, but they're not based on me, so it makes it a lot easier to write down.

00:34:41:16 - 00:34:46:07 Addy It's been the biggest change ever, which sounds so silly, but it truly has been.

00:34:46:07 - 00:34:52:03 Seth Not silly at all. Not silly at all. The most important things, the most powerful things are actually the simplest things.

00:34:52:05 - 00:34:53:19 Addy Right? For sure.

00:34:53:21 - 00:35:16:07 Seth so, we work with entrepreneurs, primarily women all around the world in the health field. And, we have organizations of women in Japan and Thailand and Australia and the Philippines and of course, Mexico and Canada, the US and Europe. And I was giving a training this past week and, a leadership training. I'm like, what what do people need to know?

00:35:16:11 - 00:35:40:02 Seth And one of the things that we've found in the world of business is one of the biggest questions people ask is, how? How can I do this? How can I grow a business? How can I sell? How can I recruit? How can I grow my company? How can I make more money? Right? And those are valid questions. That's great.

00:35:40:04 - 00:36:12:02 Seth But that is a fallacy if that's where you're starting be. Because I should say before the how is the what? What do you want to accomplish before the what is why do you want to accomplish this? Why are you here? But before the why is who, who am I right? And and that's what you said. I love that your your day starts off not with the how, not with the training, not with my goals, even.

00:36:12:02 - 00:36:14:07 Seth But who who am I?

00:36:14:11 - 00:36:37:20 Addy Yeah, that's so cool that you say that because something that just recently I've come to learn and I've been like using it in podcasts and in my speaking is, have been saying focus first on who you want to be and the rest will follow. Because if you're confident in who you want to be, you don't have to worry about those short term goals or those those things you'll accomplish, because that will that will naturally overflow from who you are.

00:36:38:01 - 00:36:44:16 Addy And so hearing you say that about business is honestly so encouraging for me. just to hear someone else say that.

00:36:44:18 - 00:37:00:13 Seth We were, thank you, thank you. We were. This is this is Stephanie's mojo. I'll tell you why I think it is. Because when I met her, I. I could see what attracted me to her most was who she knew she was.

00:37:00:15 - 00:37:01:14 Addy

00:37:01:16 - 00:37:11:15 Seth And so we were literally in Asia. We did a tour with the two little girls, by the way, imagine the four of us with I'm going to exaggerate here, but 37 pieces of luggage.

00:37:11:17 - 00:37:14:10 Addy Yeah, yeah. I get it.

00:37:14:12 - 00:37:47:19 Seth Planes, trains, automobiles, bullet trains, taxis, private vans. And it was epically crazy going through Tokyo Station, for example, with thousands, thousands upon thousands of people here and their trains going every direction. And us, you know, these two ducks with these little ducklings, they're pulling their luggage and we had more luggage than we should have. we had recording equipment.

00:37:47:19 - 00:38:03:13 Seth We were actually recording and meeting with women and talking about their track, their their goals, their challenges, their perspectives, you know? Yeah. And, you know, we had cameras with this and tripods and lighting.

00:38:03:15 - 00:38:05:09 Addy And everything.

00:38:05:11 - 00:38:06:23 Stephanie On top of all the other normal.

00:38:06:23 - 00:38:08:17 Addy Stuff,

00:38:08:19 - 00:38:38:06 Seth And, and Stephanie's and we, all four of us, literally, it was like the Von Molder family singers, right? Because we all had a part we all had a part in this family show. And these girls were we're teaching hundreds of women about affirmations and about about their perspective on how to build a business, an eight year old. And I will tell you, as good as we did, they probably got more out of what those two little girls did, certainly than than what I presented.

00:38:38:06 - 00:38:51:21 Seth But but Steph's and maybe I'll speak to this. Steph's entire presentation was all about the power of affirmation, which, you know, is, is that identity, that whole piece?

00:38:51:23 - 00:38:52:20 Addy Yeah.

00:38:52:22 - 00:39:17:19 Stephanie Well, and even before that, I'm trying to remember the quote. I'm a quote girl. I love quotes. Maybe because sometimes, well, frequently I'm like, how do I, you know, put my thoughts on paper. And so quotes really speak for me. But there was one that I saw many years ago and actually talked about and said, I'm totally I don't remember it fully, but essentially it it's not just who I am, but it's who I am.

00:39:17:21 - 00:39:18:08 Stephanie Which,

00:39:18:10 - 00:39:19:06 Addy I love that.

00:39:19:09 - 00:39:24:16 Stephanie I'm God's. And so everything else, you know, it's it's him. He's the creator.

00:39:24:18 - 00:39:27:17 Addy Yeah, yeah, that's so good. I absolutely love that.

00:39:27:20 - 00:39:52:17 Seth Let's jump in. So. So Stephanie does this, she does this business training and again, working with women from all different backgrounds, all different ages in multiple countries. Right. So traveling around and walking them through, helping them to understand that that identity. And we work with women from all different cultural backgrounds and faith backgrounds. So, you know, we we work with people who are Buddhist.

00:39:52:17 - 00:40:09:13 Seth We work with people who are atheist, we people who are agnostic. And so we live our faith, right? You know, but people don't always necessarily jive with, I am a daughter of God. They're not, they're not. That's not part of their construct. Right?

00:40:09:15 - 00:40:10:05 Addy Yep.

00:40:10:06 - 00:40:32:11 Seth Yet. Right. We're happy to model that and believe it. But but you can still teach truth. Like you might not understand that you're child of God, but you can understand that you've got all these other powerful aspects, and maybe you can talk about we would meet with women after a while after that, and they would give us their feedback on which which of the affirmations were the most powerful.

00:40:32:11 - 00:40:33:18 Seth I don't know if you remember any of that.

00:40:33:20 - 00:40:58:04 Stephanie So I started off with like ten affirmations that I'm like, okay, these these can be simple enough, especially because, you know, a lot of people don't do affirmations and and they're really simple. You know, I am confident I am, you know, I don't remember I don't remember all of I am enough, you know, like things like that. And one of them that I had thought to say at the end, I'm like, this is so weird, like, why am I saying this?

00:40:58:04 - 00:41:17:09 Stephanie But I was like, you know what? It's obviously coming from God. So I'm just going to say it. And, you know, I don't know if I'll ever know why, but, fortunately, I, I actually did end up finding out why this one woman, you know, that we were interviewing and asking her, you know, like, what? Of what we had said had, you know, touched her or inspired her.

00:41:17:11 - 00:41:43:02 Stephanie And she said that the affirmation that I said at the end and it was the one that I added and it was okay, I am me. And, you know, at first I was like, that's so strange. Like, of course, like me. I'm me, you know? But it was so powerful. And she had, if I remember correctly, she had expressed how it gave her permission to be who she is and to start seeking permission from others around her.

00:41:43:04 - 00:41:44:07 Addy That's so good.

00:41:44:09 - 00:41:50:11 Seth And to stop being defined simply by the roles. Yes, that she fulfilled in life.

00:41:50:11 - 00:42:07:08 Stephanie Yes. Like her biggest thing was being, you know, a wife and a mother. And those are beautiful and great blessings from God. There's so much more than just that to her, though. And it gave her permission to be able to, you know, fully embrace those and, and love and accept those parts of her.

00:42:07:10 - 00:42:32:16 Addy That's. Yeah. No, that's amazing. And I think that's just like it's awesome. I've like come to I come to similar conclusions with affirmations before, and I've been talking to people who aren't like of the faith of just like a permanent identity, because it's when you put your identity in temporary things like your job, the money that you make, your income, even relationships, they're temporary and out of your control, and they can be taken away in a minute.

00:42:32:22 - 00:42:52:01 Addy And that's when when those things are taken away, you're going to be left with nothing. And so that's why it's so important, even if you aren't of the same faith to put your identity in permanent things, make it, make it like you just said, like I am me. Like who you are, who you were created to be, or striving to be the best version of yourself or making other people happy.

00:42:52:04 - 00:43:02:23 Addy Being an inspiration to other people. And that's that's going to leave you fulfilled in the end, which is a big thing. Like feeling emptier, fulfilled. It's based on the journey, not even the destination.

00:43:03:01 - 00:43:08:18 Stephanie Absolutely. That reminded me of I don't know if you know this, but Seth and I both were previously divorced and.

00:43:08:18 - 00:43:09:00 Addy Yeah.

00:43:09:01 - 00:43:19:16 Seth Wait, you were married before you do these interviews and you find out things you, you just didn't know you. I mean, you think you know somebody.

00:43:19:18 - 00:43:39:01 Stephanie and I found myself going through divorce at 24, and I had two kids, and, you know, they were four and a half and two and a half and it was the scariest thing that I had ever done at that time in my life. And the hardest thing, and I know that I could go through that with so much joy.

00:43:39:02 - 00:43:42:19 Stephanie Not to say that there wasn't heartache. There was plenty of tears in my pillow.

00:43:42:21 - 00:43:43:18 Addy Yeah. yeah.

00:43:43:19 - 00:44:05:06 Stephanie And I was a single mom for six years until we got married. The one constant thing that really carried me through that was God being able to rely on God and and my Savior, Jesus Christ. And my relationship grew tremendously and became so much more of a foundation of who I am way beyond what I thought it would be.

00:44:05:08 - 00:44:06:18 Stephanie Or it could be, you know?

00:44:06:20 - 00:44:30:07 Addy Yeah, that's so beautiful. It's just it's amazing to see even, like, the horrible things, how God really does, like, work through it and work for purpose. It's like Romans 828 is like my favorite Bible verse says, God works for the good of those who love him and are called according to his purpose. And just knowing that all things do work together for the good of those who love God is the biggest.

00:44:30:12 - 00:44:39:12 Addy Like the most amazing promise that God ever gave in my opinion. Like, it's just it's incredible what he does with broken things and broken people.

00:44:39:14 - 00:44:52:13 Stephanie Absolutely. I'm so much more than than what I could be because, yeah, I put my myself in his hands. And, you know, sometimes you think you know what's best and then you realize, no, I'm so glad God has me.

00:44:52:15 - 00:44:53:11 Addy I'm glad he's.

00:44:53:11 - 00:44:55:23 Stephanie Guiding my life.

00:44:56:00 - 00:45:14:01 Addy yeah, I also, I will tell you said like God carried you through, but you still were upset. Like you still obviously cried about it. And I think a lot of people, when they hear me say this, they're like, oh, it's just like you're happy all the time and all. You're always going to be happy. But like, no, I get sad, I get frustrated, I get upset.

00:45:14:01 - 00:45:19:23 Addy It's just what you choose to do with that frustration. That's different when your identity is in something different.

00:45:20:00 - 00:45:46:14 Seth I think we're going to jump into health side of things. But before we leave this mindset piece, when we talk about affirmations and, those words, I am my a lot of affirmation will say I am. I have found that some of my Christian friends get uncomfortable when we start saying things like, I am there, oh, you're getting a little, you're getting a little too close to God's space.

00:45:46:14 - 00:46:06:06 Seth Sarah. Seth. Because he said, I am right. He was. He was kind of that one in the Old Testament. Remember, he's talking to Moses and he's like, I am that I am. Do you ever have a time where where you were that was concerned you or you're like, forget about it. I don't I'm really to worry about that.

00:46:06:08 - 00:46:35:23 Addy well, I think everything I am flows from God. So everything that I'm saying I am is because of God. Like God made me. God formed me intricately, uniquely, and for a purpose. So every time I say I am something, of course it's from God. God is my creator, so it's never crossed my mind in that way. But every time I do say those affirmations, I do think about how amazing God is for being beat, for being the I am, for being, for being love, for being truth, for being joy, for being all of that personified.

00:46:36:01 - 00:46:46:21 Seth Love it, love it. He's the great I am, he's the great I am. And and guess what? Because you know your identity, you have to remember that. That you've got a piece of that.

00:46:46:23 - 00:46:48:14 Addy Right. You're so.

00:46:48:16 - 00:47:11:10 Seth Right. So there's, there's, there's a piece of that I am inside of me. And so I often think because, and I, and I think partly many people who, who are into spiritualism without maybe you know and they're on a spiritual journey without maybe identifying as, as a follower of Jesus Christ or Christian right, or, or any other faith.

00:47:11:12 - 00:47:37:10 Seth Right? Yeah, a monotheistic faith, for example, many of the spiritual approaches, different modalities, they latch on to affirmation, like you said, because they're looking for truth, they're looking for that constant. They're looking for that true north. They're looking for that foundation. Things that don't change. The North Star, right. The Southern Cross as Christians, rather than saying, oh no, I got to stay away from that.

00:47:37:12 - 00:47:58:10 Seth We should embrace all truth like that little I am in inside of me. What does God want? And this is this is usually I tell Christians, listen, do you can you imagine God telling you like, look at these affirmations, look at these things that you feel drawn to. Can you imagine God coming to you and saying, sorry, girl, you're not this way.

00:47:58:12 - 00:48:15:11 Seth This is not you, right? I'm disappointed. Yeah. Can you even imagine that that conversation would exist? No. These things that are on your paper are the things that he would tell you if he were here when he's here. Right? Because he is here. So.

00:48:15:12 - 00:48:17:17 Addy Yeah. 100%. Yep.

00:48:17:19 - 00:48:21:21 Seth Let's jump into health. Let's jump into health. We've talked a little about training. What about there?

00:48:21:23 - 00:48:28:12 Stephanie Okay. So what are some common misconceptions or challenges that women face when it comes to maintaining a healthy lifestyle?

00:48:28:16 - 00:48:49:14 Addy I think the biggest thing is a lot of women think it's a one size fits all healthy lifestyle. But what looks like healthy for one person isn't going to be as healthy for someone else. For me, it was a lot around surrounding food tracking calories. I quickly found out that that wasn't actually healthy for me. It was doing me more harm than good for some people.

00:48:49:17 - 00:49:11:07 Addy That's what they need and it's amazing. And they they're able to track their calories without becoming obsessed or without feeling like they need to be perfect all the time. And so that's usually the example I use. But it really goes for anything. Just I know some people say reading a certain amount of pages of a book per day or doing certain number of workouts per day, but for everyone, that's different.

00:49:11:07 - 00:49:33:00 Addy And I think people need to figure out what works best for them and also work into it slowly making this New Year's resolution that your whole life is going to change and trying to do it immediately is not sustainable, and it's just going to leave you with more self-doubt and imposter syndrome from my own experience. And so I'd say make slow steps out of habit or two every few weeks.

00:49:33:00 - 00:49:40:06 Addy Maybe every month. And over time you'll look back over like 2 or 3 years and your life will be completely changed, but in a sustainable way.

00:49:40:12 - 00:49:49:04 Seth I'm just laughing, wondering how many of all these books that I've been reading the last 20 years as an entrepreneur wise, Addie, quoting from all of them.

00:49:49:06 - 00:49:51:07 Stephanie She's beyond her years.

00:49:51:09 - 00:50:00:01 Seth Like like she's quoting, you know, Grant Grant Cardone, the tipping point, the compound effect. Like.

00:50:00:02 - 00:50:23:16 Addy And it's so funny, that's all. I'm going to be honest, I haven't heard of any of them. Give credit where it's due. It makes it even better. That's awesome. I need to be a better reader. That's something I'm working on. I listen to audiobooks and podcasts, but I always say I don't have time for reading, which I know is super important and healthy, but we're working on it.

00:50:23:16 - 00:50:34:19 Seth I think it's an it's a modality. It's an avenue. Growing up, I hated reading like like despised reading. I mean, you didn't necessarily enjoy reading.

00:50:35:00 - 00:50:50:22 Stephanie I still struggle with it. Like like if I'm just honest, I really do. Like I even went to I don't know what you call her, but like, an energy healer type woman. And she taught me how to connect the front two lobes of your brain to okay, if you like. If you like.

00:50:51:00 - 00:50:51:18 Addy Wow.

00:50:51:20 - 00:51:06:17 Stephanie I've got my water bottle in my hand. But if you like, you know, put pressure on them. So I would lay down kind of in child's pose and just do that for like five minutes or so. And then she's like, it helps to connect the, the front two lobes of your brain. And that should help you to read.

00:51:06:22 - 00:51:12:16 Stephanie I actually forgot about that till now. I started doing that, and I read more in that week than I had in years.

00:51:12:18 - 00:51:14:04 Addy Because that is crazy.

00:51:14:04 - 00:51:17:15 Stephanie Yeah, it really, really was. I need to do that more.

00:51:17:17 - 00:51:17:21 Addy So.

00:51:17:21 - 00:51:18:22 Stephanie That I read again.

00:51:19:00 - 00:51:21:13 Addy Yeah, yeah, that's so cool.

00:51:21:15 - 00:51:51:05 Seth So I hated reading growing up. You couldn't you could you? You almost couldn't pay me to read in school. In school, I never did. Well, I was in honors English, but it wasn't because my reading and and because I didn't like to read and essentially wouldn't read, I didn't necessarily do really well in honors English. There came a point in my in my early adult career where I was transitioning out of being, you know, kind of the employee mindset work for somebody else.

00:51:51:05 - 00:52:08:00 Seth I worked for a great company into I want to own my destiny. I want to compete, you know, with my own brand. I want I want to have that freedom. And a friend handed me a book and I think, can you give it to me? Something like, can I have it differently? Give me a different download? Right. It was a book.

00:52:08:02 - 00:52:10:14 Stephanie But I read then they don't have podcasts.

00:52:10:16 - 00:52:29:10 Seth Yeah, really. There weren't podcasts back then. I read that book and it changed my life and all of the sudden it was like a switch flipped in my mind, in my psyche and my soul. And I became a voracious reader.

00:52:29:12 - 00:52:30:11 Addy Wow.

00:52:30:12 - 00:52:53:09 Seth I would go to the office, and I mean, I'd have I'd have books, you know, the the classics and mindset and business. And I'd literally I'd go into, you know, I worked for $1 billion New York Stock Exchange traded firm, and I'd go into department meetings literally with a classic, a business book and mindset book in my, you know, like, I'm running to make sure I don't bump into anything as I read.

00:52:53:09 - 00:53:25:23 Seth And I remember I remember one of my department heads. She said, man, Seth, you are really into that. And I said, I am. I'm so hungry for for knowledge and and a way. Right. The path and and the great thing about books and other modalities as well mediums, they provide you with a pattern. Yeah. They don't do it for you, but they provide a pattern so that you can go build it yourself.

00:53:26:03 - 00:53:52:19 Seth And so, you know, whether it's books or honestly today, you talk to me today, I'm like college education. You could probably you could probably find five books and ten podcasts and focus on those for the next four years and get as much as you needed as going to and or more. Right? Oh, I should say. And connecting yourself in the right communities.

00:53:52:21 - 00:54:05:01 Seth Right. Call it a mastermind, call it a team, call it a group. And you could get more than then maybe just sitting and going through coursework at, you know, a university.

00:54:05:03 - 00:54:07:01 Addy So yeah.

00:54:07:03 - 00:54:12:12 Seth What are your favorite podcasts like like tell us what's on, what's on your podcast playlist?

00:54:12:14 - 00:54:34:23 Addy My favorite podcast is the Whoa That's Good podcast by Sadie Robertson. I don't know if you've heard it. I know, but it's amazing. It's so good. It's for. So the podcast is called Live Original and then it's for sisters and friends. So it's this girl who she has a huge ministry platform. She's amazing. Sadie Robertson, she was actually on Duck Dynasty.

00:54:35:01 - 00:54:49:15 Addy So that's like where she started. Yeah, she was on that. That's where she started. But now she's just trying to be a sister and a friend to people who don't have one. So super similar to this actually, which is so cool to me. But that's definitely that's definitely top one for me.

00:54:49:17 - 00:54:52:01 Seth When are you when are you going on the podcast? Oh man.

00:54:52:01 - 00:55:00:08 Addy I wish I went well. I'll have to tag her in the comments. Yes.

00:55:00:10 - 00:55:06:07 Seth She needs to know you and she's going to want to know. She's going to be glad to know you.

00:55:06:09 - 00:55:35:11 Addy one day. That's the goal. Yeah, yeah, but what you said about the books is actually it's so good because I definitely I hit a point like that, but my where I was just super hungry for learning. And that's another one of the reasons why I took the gap year. Because during that time, I actually did like 15 different internships with people because I learned best through experience, through hands on learning, when I'm surrounded by it, not just through a screen or audio.

00:55:35:16 - 00:55:55:21 Addy So I went with different people in different businesses, entrepreneurs. I even did some with graphic designers and actually a corporate one too, which I found out wasn't for me. But it's good because I needed to find that out. And it was amazing getting to see how different people did business, how they got into it, learning from them. It taught me more than I have.

00:55:55:23 - 00:56:04:16 Addy Then I could have learned in like high school and all the years combined, like 100%. So it was truly amazing. Just made me think about that. When you were talking about it, what.

00:56:04:16 - 00:56:12:04 Seth Were some of the highlight experiences from from these internships? Like what sticks out? So take us there.

00:56:12:04 - 00:56:27:15 Addy Yeah. Well, so what I did was I drove down the East Coast and this is by myself. So I drove down the East Coast, staying at different people's houses who I had met through the ninja community. So I've built a ton of good relationships, which has been such a blessing for me to be able to do that. So I wasn't alone.

00:56:27:15 - 00:56:45:09 Addy Alone. So I stayed with people that I knew. I stayed in so many different states. Man. Yeah. like pretty much every single one on the East Coast, I stayed in at least once, and then I drove back up through Nashville. So I started by doing clinics, so I'd go to different gyms and be a guest coach there.

00:56:45:09 - 00:57:01:15 Addy Since I've been on the show, which is a ton of fun and I love doing that. So I'm still doing that here and there. And then I met with I actually met with a speaker in Utah. I don't know if you know Ty Bennett. He's from Salt Lake City, and he is he's a speaker, a keynote speaker. And that was amazing.

00:57:01:15 - 00:57:21:08 Addy So that's definitely something I want to pursue. And then I met with a bunch of different entrepreneurs who do different things. One of them had a car business. One of them started his own Ninja gym. Another one has like a decking company. So different things. But the way that they did things and I guess just the drive they had for it was super inspiring.

00:57:21:14 - 00:57:37:15 Addy And all of them told me it's going to take a lot more work than a typical 9 to 5 at first, but they all said for them it was worth it because they were doing something that they loved doing. And that's what really I was like, If I'm doing something I love doing anyways, it doesn't feel like work for me.

00:57:37:15 - 00:57:56:23 Addy So I'm putting in a ton of hours right now to get all this started. But because I'm so passionate about it, it's I could never see myself in a 9 to 5 right now. Let's just say that it's rewarding. It's amazing. It's an amazing growth experience for me. And just to be able to share, to share all this with other people through speaking, I'm just so excited for that.

00:57:57:04 - 00:58:00:07 Addy That journey in particular. So that's kind of where I've landed.

00:58:00:09 - 00:58:02:10 Seth And when you came to Utah.

00:58:02:12 - 00:58:19:04 Addy I did. Yes, this is before I got so Julie connected me with all the podcasts and this is before that. So I met her in Utah, then flew home, and then I met a ton of people in Utah. So I need to come back. Yes, for sure. Yeah.

00:58:19:06 - 00:58:25:12 Stephanie Well, we have a guest bedroom suite has its own bathroom if you want to stay with us.

00:58:25:14 - 00:58:27:23 Addy That would be amazing. Thank you guys, you guys come out.

00:58:27:23 - 00:58:32:14 Seth We need a babysitter. I mean, we would love just to.

00:58:32:16 - 00:58:34:17 Addy Oh, I'd love to. That they're the best. You have.

00:58:34:17 - 00:58:36:10 Seth A ride. Horses you ride.

00:58:36:12 - 00:58:38:19 Addy No, I haven't come.

00:58:38:19 - 00:58:39:05 Stephanie Ride.

00:58:39:05 - 00:58:40:02 Seth Come out. We'll we'll.

00:58:40:04 - 00:58:41:05 Addy We'll we'll.

00:58:41:05 - 00:58:44:14 Seth Ride. We'll smoke some buffalo. Have some.

00:58:44:14 - 00:58:45:15 Addy Oh my goodness.

00:58:45:16 - 00:58:49:10 Seth Buffalo meat. Do some, do some ministry. Just have a great time.

00:58:49:14 - 00:58:51:08 Stephanie We'll make it worth it.

00:58:51:10 - 00:58:53:03 Addy Yeah, we'll plan on time. Let's open.

00:58:53:03 - 00:58:53:20 Seth Invitation.

00:58:54:00 - 00:58:54:23 Addy Yes. Yeah us.

00:58:55:01 - 00:58:56:09 Seth Open invitation.

00:58:56:11 - 00:58:57:15 Addy That sounds amazing.

00:58:57:20 - 00:59:05:02 Stephanie So what are the key financial principles and habits that women should prioritize for long term financial success?

00:59:05:08 - 00:59:30:18 Addy So my whole persistence over perfection thing really I think ties in here is well, I was super, super scared to start this whole journey of becoming an entrepreneur and kind of choosing that path even over college. And my aunt said to me, I'm not going to get the exact quote right, but she said, if you have to pass that, you're deciding between one of them is easy and comfortable and the other one is filled with, I guess, surrounded by fear.

00:59:30:18 - 00:59:47:03 Addy And just a lot of unknown go with that one, because usually the things surrounded by fear are the things that hold the most potential for our lives. Because God isn't fear. So if there's fear surrounding it, it's just the enemy trying to keep you from it. And that's that was the final point for me. I was like, all right, I'm doing it.

00:59:47:03 - 01:00:05:15 Addy I'm all in with this. And it started off slow for sure. I have I started with a custom designed business called Accents by Audi, which is kind of on hold right now, but it didn't like blow up like I thought it would. I thought it would be this big thing and my Etsy would get going, and it would be awesome because people knew me from Ninja.

01:00:05:17 - 01:00:22:13 Addy just because people know you from one thing doesn't mean they're going to like, your designs are like greeting cards. So that was okay. And I kept doing it as a hobby since that. That's what it was at first for me. And then last year I started the kids class and didn't have as many kids. But by the end of the year I was gaining traction.

01:00:22:19 - 01:00:46:14 Addy So I had this whole plan that for this year I was going to make it this big thing. Advertise a ton. And I kind of just persisted through the actions by Adi thing and the kids class. And this year, both of them are bigger than ever. So seeing that in my own very short experience so far, and then in other people's experiences who I've learned from women who I've done internship with as well, it's a lot of persistence.

01:00:46:16 - 01:01:03:04 Addy Things aren't always going to blow up. Things aren't always going to start with everyone loving it. But if you persist, if it's something you're truly passionate about, people will find it and love it. For who is it for what it is because of who you are. So it kind of ties in with both the persistence thing and the identity thing.

01:01:03:06 - 01:01:15:20 Seth Well, and having different experiences. Right? Yeah. Again, everything wasn't a win. Everything wasn't, a blockbuster hit the first time you touched it. What would we learn exactly?

01:01:15:22 - 01:01:33:23 Addy Yeah. And I think I think even people look at my life and think that it is, but they don't know the hours upon hours of work that I've put into it to get it to where it is. It didn't just blow up one day. I didn't just get good ninja some day randomly. I'm not just naturally talented at it like I have worked so hard.

01:01:33:23 - 01:01:50:04 Addy I have poured my whole life into this, into what I'm doing with business, what I'm doing with Ninja. And yes, it's paying off now, but it took so much persistence and I've failed in both so many more times. And I succeeded and I think it's important for people to hear that and truly get that.

01:01:50:06 - 01:01:52:02 Seth I'm excited for your businesses.

01:01:52:04 - 01:02:18:12 Addy Me too. Yeah. I'm gonna I'm really excited about it. I'm excited about this freaking thing. And then more long term, I'm actually planning on starting my own podcast, but not anytime soon. So that's one of my long term goals. As well as like fitness programs and personalized coaching for people. So I just have I have so many ideas and I'm kind of trying to like, narrow it down, pursue only a few right now, but I'm super excited about it as well.

01:02:18:14 - 01:02:22:20 Seth What would the podcast like walk us through? What would that podcast look like?

01:02:22:22 - 01:02:44:21 Addy Well, that's the reason I haven't started it exactly. Sure. What it would be about yet. I was thinking at first more towards athletes, but now I'm thinking that I guess it would more just be kind of like, you guys have guests on, I have guests on and kind of just talk about everything that there is like their best, their best advice, I guess, trying to inspire other people.

01:02:44:21 - 01:02:46:19 Addy But again, not fully sure.

01:02:46:21 - 01:03:01:06 Seth That's all right. Let it, let it, let it simmer. Let it simmer for sure. But we will. Absolutely. We will, let us know we'll be part of the, the fan club, right? Yes. The the promo club.

01:03:01:08 - 01:03:03:00 Addy Yes. For sure, for sure.

01:03:03:02 - 01:03:07:01 Seth All right, let's get back and talk a little about health because you're just talking about health.

01:03:07:04 - 01:03:13:09 Stephanie All right. So how can women balance physical health, mental health and self-care in their daily lives?

01:03:13:11 - 01:03:39:12 Addy this definitely goes back to priorities. So for you to be healthy physically, mentally, and in terms of self-care, you have to again know your identity. So for me, like I said, make time for yourself. Make time for yourself to start your day. If even my mom, I actually learned this from my mom, she'll wake up before any of us, wake up before my brother wakes up for school or anything, and she'll take even if it's five minutes.

01:03:39:12 - 01:03:56:16 Addy If she's running low on time, she'll take that five minutes to sit by herself and make time to pray and just prioritize that time to start her day. Right. And I think starting your day right has a much bigger impact than people think on the rest of your day. So that's what I would say first and then second.

01:03:56:17 - 01:04:16:08 Addy Don't make the excuse that you're too busy. I did this for so long in terms of my mental health, where I'd wake up and go to the gym and say, I'm too busy to talk to anybody about my problems, and I'd pretend like everything was fine. And that just leads to emotional suppression, which is going to build up and make you very depressed very shortly.

01:04:16:10 - 01:04:43:05 Addy It's also just a recipe for burnout. I found myself very burnt out, in particular seasons of my life, because I was holding so much in and only focusing on the physical. When mental and self-care is just as important, if not more so. That's what I would say. Second, and then just surround yourself with a community of people who will hold you accountable, but also encourage you so people who love you enough to tell you the truth and to tell you the truth and love.

01:04:43:07 - 01:04:46:03 Addy I'd say those are the three main things.

01:04:46:05 - 01:05:08:04 Stephanie It reminds me at least the spiritual aspect of it, of again, a quote. If you're too busy to pray and read your scriptures, you're busier than God intended you to be. And I feel like sometimes we just feel like, oh well, if we can just check off all these different, you know, check boxes, then we'll feel good and fulfilled.

01:05:08:06 - 01:05:14:11 Stephanie And but really, it's prioritizing, you know, like you said, your your needs to set that day.

01:05:14:13 - 01:05:16:09 Addy 100%. That's such a good quote.

01:05:16:12 - 01:05:38:11 Seth I do call her the quote girl because if you if you were to I'm the beneficiary of this often because I get the the best of the best of the best. Like they're all really good. Like she doesn't she doesn't snap, she doesn't screenshot so-so quotes. So sometimes every once in awhile she'll be reading these. And what do you know, I'm going through the quotes.

01:05:38:11 - 01:05:44:14 Seth I'm like, oh, this. This could take a while because. Right. That's there's a it's a compendium. It's a compendium.

01:05:44:14 - 01:05:49:22 Stephanie Well, especially when I figured out that my phone could screenshot them and I could like, have them in my phone forever.

01:05:50:00 - 01:05:54:06 Addy Now you're just screenshots. That's awesome, I love it, it's so bad.

01:05:54:07 - 01:06:14:19 Seth One terabyte of coin. Do you know how many quotes you can fit in a terabyte? You don't want to know. Oh my gosh, but I do. I ended up just calling her the quote girl because she does. She does connect with all these amazing thoughts that that people wrote down. And I think I was gonna bring up a quote, but I totally forgot.

01:06:14:21 - 01:06:20:04 Stephanie How can women advocate for their own health and navigate the health care system effectively?

01:06:20:06 - 01:06:40:00 Addy Yeah, this one is, like I said, so in gymnastic, this first happened for me where I had people telling me I was fine for six months and it ended up making my injury way worse, especially because it was around growth plates. I was really young at the time, so it ended up being a big deal and I almost had surgery for that, which would not have been good for the age that I was.

01:06:40:00 - 01:06:57:16 Addy And it was because, like my mom listened to me right away, she took me in right away to the best doctors. but some certain people in my life just kind of played it off. And so I played it off in my head. I was like, it's it's going to hurt for a long time. So whatever. And then same thing with this ankle injury.

01:06:57:21 - 01:07:22:09 Addy I immediately because of that I think was like, it's just a sprain. It'll be fine. So I did keep doing stuff for another two weeks and I don't know if it made it worse or not, but I think like, speaking just as much to myself here, not being afraid to say like I this is worse than like, I guess not taking the you're fine when it's something clearly is wrong as just immediate truth.

01:07:22:11 - 01:07:31:07 Addy Like look into things, ask for help. Like seek to find real things. Don't just take what people say and say, okay, I'm fine because someone saying I am.

01:07:31:07 - 01:07:36:01 Stephanie Well in trusting, you know, your intuition or your gut, you know. Yeah, that God.

01:07:36:03 - 01:07:37:10 Addy And that's a me thing. Yeah.

01:07:37:10 - 01:07:50:06 Stephanie To look into it because you know. Yeah. At the end of the day, we're all human, but God really knows what's going on. And so if we follow that, you know, I, I was just telling we actually just had a grandchild a few days ago.

01:07:50:08 - 01:07:52:15 Addy Congratulations. Oh, my girl.

01:07:52:17 - 01:08:13:01 Stephanie And, I was talking to them about my experience with my second child and how I had an epidural in the hospital when I was in labor. I mean, when you're in the middle of it, obviously having contractions and everything, you're like, okay, just numbing out, right? And so the anesthesiologist, he ended up saying, oh, we got to do it again before they put the actual epidural in me.

01:08:13:05 - 01:08:32:08 Stephanie He so you saying that they needed to put the needle back into my spine and I'm just like, okay, what? Okay, whatever. Let's just do it, you know? And then later I asked questions. I'm like, why did that happen? And they said, oh. He said, oh, well, the first needle was dull. So I guess he opened the package.

01:08:32:08 - 01:08:53:11 Stephanie The needle was dull and he tried putting it in anyways, because it's going to cost him more money to open two packages instead of just one. And so yeah. And so he did that. And while with the first one, because he had to put so much pressure on it because it was dull, he ended up poking a hole through my spinal cord and it ended up leaking fluid up to my brain.

01:08:53:16 - 01:09:09:01 Stephanie They had warned me about it because we had to use, you know, two needles and you're in the hospital for a few days. So they're like, okay, you know, you might it's not very common, but you might get a spinal headache. They kind of told me what to look for. And as the time was going on, I'm like, I think I'm having that spinal headache.

01:09:09:03 - 01:09:31:06 Stephanie But they kept saying, oh no, no, it's okay. Even my ex husband was like, no, it's not that. You're fine. Oh, the doctors know better. Like it's okay. And it was just gradually getting worse. And at the time I mean I was like 22 I think. So I was super young and really hadn't developed a lot of what I have now, which, you know, now, if that happened, I'd be like, no where, you know, we're doing something about this at the time.

01:09:31:06 - 01:09:52:03 Stephanie You know, like you said, I was just listening to the voices around me instead of listening to my own intuition that, yes, that's was happening. And it wasn't till after I got home with my baby and I couldn't even sit up because the fluid going to the brain made me have the spinal headache, which was I had migraines in high school and was way worse than any migraine I had ever had.

01:09:52:05 - 01:10:15:08 Stephanie Yeah. And I was just like, okay, there is something wrong. I need to go back to the hospital. Like, they've got to fix this. But anyways, it just made me think of that, you know, really trusting and and I find that the more that I know who I am and I know who I am, the more I can trust those intuitions and those experiences instead of trusting people around me for my experience.

01:10:15:10 - 01:10:34:09 Addy Yeah. No, 100%. That's that's crazy. And it's just like, it's so easy for people to tell you it's okay when they're not experiencing it too. And like, I get the whole pain tolerance thing that the amount of people who are like, it's just a sprain. I was like, listen, listen, I know that this is not a sprain. so I do get it.

01:10:34:09 - 01:10:58:19 Addy And it's easy to also, like, I was super embarrassed about it. Like I was like, mom, I need an MRI. And I think at first she thought it was a sprain, too, because when I came home, I was definitely downplaying it because that's all I had gotten from people. So she was like, okay, definitely get an MRI and stuff, but I'm so happy that I did because obviously it was bigger than that and now I can actually do recovery well instead of ignoring it and pretending like nothing happened again.

01:10:58:19 - 01:11:00:11 Addy Like gymnastics.

01:11:00:13 - 01:11:09:16 Stephanie Yeah. And it makes it easier for you to trust yourself and also for your mom to be like, okay, remember last time, you know, she was she was right. We need to pursue this.

01:11:09:18 - 01:11:26:20 Addy Yeah. And that's like the first thing she said to me when I got my MRI results. She was like, all right, I'm always to having you. From this point on, she's like, good thing you got the MRI. But it was like an immediate like, I don't know. Yeah, my mom's always been super good about that. She's a PA, so she works in the medical field too.

01:11:26:23 - 01:11:36:11 Addy So she's the one who at first was even, like, no, I don't want to make this a big deal. I don't need an MRI. And she was like, get an MRI. Just trust me. So I'm so thankful for her and just having people around you like that.

01:11:36:11 - 01:11:57:11 Seth Speaking of people that you're surrounded by, or or people that you, that you look to are there, or who are the who are the women? Either, you know, living or non-living, like historical whatever that, that you resonate with, or that you look to as, you know, kind of the epitome of womanhood.

01:11:57:15 - 01:12:18:19 Addy In my own life. I say my mom, my sister and my aunt, they've all just the way that they've lived their lives. It's almost like they don't even have to tell me anything. And I can just look at how they're living and gain so much from it. And I think that's just an amazing thing. Like, I look at my aunt, the things that she's told me, the advice that I was sharing earlier, and then my sister, she's always been there for me.

01:12:18:19 - 01:12:35:12 Addy There's a huge age gap, but we call all the time. It's like no time has passed, even when we haven't talked to each other in like months, which is amazing. And then my mom just always being there for me. She's the most persistent person I know, and I really do think that I got that from her. So those three for sure.

01:12:35:12 - 01:13:04:22 Addy And then in the show American Ninja Warrior, I remember being an eight year old girl watching the show and always looking up to Jesse Graff. She was like my hero. And I still every time there's like a survey and it's like, who's your favorite superhero? I always put Jesse Graff. She's my go to answer. but just the way that she, she would go on the course and fully be herself, like she was so noticeably different from everyone else, and she was so unafraid to be herself solely.

01:13:04:22 - 01:13:14:05 Addy And I remember watching her and being like, that's exactly who I want to be like. Like that. Unapologetic to be myself and to show people who I am. That's awesome.

01:13:14:09 - 01:13:16:22 Stephanie Those are great women, great women to be inspired.

01:13:16:22 - 01:13:17:14 Addy By, for sure.

01:13:17:18 - 01:13:20:13 Seth What's your future with American Ninja Warrior?

01:13:20:18 - 01:13:37:16 Addy Yeah. I mean, I love it. Training is obviously it's hard. Like my coach will have us running sprints till we throw up all the time. But I love it. I, I genuinely it's always been a passion for me. Never a burden. So my plan is and still it always has been and still is, just to do it for as long as I can.

01:13:37:18 - 01:13:42:20 Addy So as long as I'm able to, as long as my body lets me, I'll be doing it. I love, I love it.

01:13:42:20 - 01:14:00:20 Seth So, I would just as we wrap up from a speaking standpoint, you have a powerful message. You have so many experiences, like, I mean, I've already been I mean, a couple of thoughts have come to my mind. We need to talk. Do we need to talk to the foundation about taking, ninja courses to to East Africa?

01:14:00:22 - 01:14:02:13 Addy Yes. That would be awesome.

01:14:02:16 - 01:14:16:11 Seth And, you know, had, you know, do we book, you know, who do we talk to to start booking out speaking engagements? and I'm going to call it coaching, which is so much more powerful than if quote unquote motivational speaking.

01:14:16:13 - 01:14:17:18 Addy Yeah, right. For sure.

01:14:17:19 - 01:14:26:05 Seth We know people in the space and they don't refer to themselves as speakers as much as I'm a coach. Right. And, you know, I mean, you have a coach.

01:14:26:09 - 01:14:27:10 Addy Yep.

01:14:27:12 - 01:14:37:01 Seth So we look forward to that part of your career. And, and maybe, maybe we'll be in the audience again, again to hear you speak for sure.

01:14:37:01 - 01:14:39:02 Addy Yeah. Yeah, I'm super excited about it.

01:14:39:05 - 01:14:51:00 Stephanie So if people want to hire you to coach an audience or a group, do you have somewhere they can go to contact you? They have a website or platform or phone number or anything I do.

01:14:51:00 - 01:15:12:06 Addy So my website is currently being like, it's in the process of being developed right now, but you can email me anything. That's what I'm using right now. So inquiries at Adi herman.com and email me there. That's my business email. And that's the best place. And then I also have an Instagram and a YouTube which are also great places to get in contact with me.

01:15:12:07 - 01:15:17:13 Addy Hopefully the website will be up within the next like week or so, and I'll definitely send that over when it is.

01:15:17:13 - 01:15:27:00 Seth And all that's in will be in the show notes. So how to get Ahold of Adi for speaking, for assets, for inspiration, for coaching.

01:15:27:02 - 01:15:30:00 Stephanie Or building a ninja course?

01:15:30:02 - 01:15:32:13 Addy All of the above for babysitting?

01:15:32:15 - 01:15:35:22 Seth I just I was just going to throw that one in there to see and ministry.

01:15:36:00 - 01:15:38:23 Addy Yes, viewership as well.

01:15:38:23 - 01:15:40:02 Seth Thank you so much, Adi.

01:15:40:03 - 01:15:40:22 Stephanie Thank you so.

01:15:40:23 - 01:15:43:21 Addy Much. Is, really amazing, inspiring.

01:15:43:21 - 01:16:01:09 Seth And I'm going to say your aunt, your aunt and her advice has got to be one of the I mean, I seriously wanted to. I just took me to it, took me back to Lord of the rings, where I'm big Lord of the rings fan. And I'm like, is is she like, one of the one of the wise elves?

01:16:01:09 - 01:16:02:00 Seth Is your aunt?

01:16:02:03 - 01:16:07:11 Addy Maybe you could be. Yes. I wouldn't put a pastor.

01:16:07:13 - 01:16:19:12 Seth I see Galadriel like, really? Maybe I want you to check this. Like, is she wearing some really, like, old looking fashion ring? That's. That's it. She have one.

01:16:19:12 - 01:16:22:18 Addy Of the rings this year.

01:16:22:19 - 01:16:26:19 Seth And. Cut. It's a wrap.

01:16:26:21 - 01:16:41:20 Stephanie Thank you so much for being here today. And thank you for sharing this episode with that one friend who needs this conversation. Thank you for all the ratings, the reviews, the comments, and especially the support. We so appreciate you.
