The Show Video & Transcript

00;00;05;10 - 00;00;06;23
Stephanie
Hi, I'm Stephanie.

00;00;06;26 - 00;00;17;16
Seth
I'm Seth, and this is the Forever Young show. The most powerful force in this world is a woman who knows who she is, why? She is here, and what she wants to accomplish.

00;00;17;16 - 00;00;24;03
Stephanie
And that's where self-care comes in. As a woman, it is my opportunity and my responsibility to take care of me.

00;00;24;10 - 00;00;25;28
Seth
Self-care for your mind.

00;00;26;05 - 00;00;27;15
Stephanie
Self-care for your body.

00;00;27;22 - 00;00;29;02
Seth
Self-care for your money.

00;00;29;08 - 00;00;37;19
Stephanie
Our mission is to serve women as they fulfill their irreplaceable roles and families. Society. Business. The fabric of humanity.

00;00;37;21 - 00;00;41;18
Seth
So let's get this show on the road.

00;00;41;20 - 00;00;45;08
Stephanie
Yeah I know. Oh.

00;00;45;11 - 00;00;46;01
Seth
No. But today.

00;00;46;01 - 00;00;48;13
Stephanie
Is a day of celebrate Nation.

00;00;48;15 - 00;00;52;20
Seth
Because this episode marks.

00;00;52;22 - 00;00;57;22
Stephanie
Number 21 one.

00;00;57;24 - 00;00;59;28
Seth
Two. It's 21.

00;01;00;03 - 00;01;02;15
Stephanie
I didn't get enough sleep last night.

00;01;02;17 - 00;01;11;17
Seth
speaking of sleep. Well, we'll get to that. So today's episode 21. We're in the studio, and that's.

00;01;11;19 - 00;01;12;08
Stephanie
Significant.

00;01;12;09 - 00;01;42;07
Seth
It is significant, because according to what's out there, 90% of of all podcasts that ever start, never make it past episode three. So they're one, two, three and nine out of ten. And we're talking, you know, we're talking about literally millions of podcasts that start right. And so nine out of ten won't get to episode the four.

00;01;42;09 - 00;02;01;22
Seth
And then of those remaining. So let's just say we started with 100 right 100 100 podcasts. 9090 of those are out before four. of the remaining ten, nine of those will be out before 22.

00;02;01;25 - 00;02;04;03
Stephanie
We're to be in the top 1%.

00;02;04;04 - 00;02;11;10
Seth
That's right. The 1% of the survivors. The survivor drivers. I was going to say, seeing that I.

00;02;11;10 - 00;02;13;28
Stephanie
Was,

00;02;14;01 - 00;02;18;07
Seth
so that means basically one out of 100 podcast is going to make it episode 21.

00;02;18;07 - 00;02;23;01
Stephanie
And this is like, we need confetti.

00;02;23;03 - 00;02;27;02
Seth
Where were we talking about?

00;02;27;04 - 00;02;28;26
Stephanie

00;02;28;28 - 00;02;38;01
Seth
That's the girls can't. I'm glad this did not break open. Nerds everywhere and sugar from Sour Patch Kids.

00;02;38;04 - 00;02;39;08
Stephanie
Okay.

00;02;39;10 - 00;03;00;02
Seth
So that's the celebration. We made it to 21. and I don't. I didn't tell you about the story I was telling some of our business partners about this story recently. oh. How do you weigh in on Harrison Ford, by the way? Not your favorite. okay. How do you all feel about. How do y'all feel about Harrison Ford?

00;03;00;03 - 00;03;21;10
Seth
Drop some comments or drop an email to us. the Forever Young show at gmail.com. and and let us know what you think about Harrison Ford. This is a Harrison Ford story, but maybe I wish it were somebody else's story. So when he went to Hollywood in the 70s, apparently there was a lot of people there.

00;03;21;10 - 00;03;48;18
Seth
Like, as you can imagine, everybody's there to make their fortune in, in, you know, in movies, in the silver screen. And, and so everybody's just hustling, everybody's hustling. And so Harrison Ford apparently said, I quickly realized that everybody here was here to win fast. They were here to make it quick. And so he said, so I decided to take a contrarian strategy.

00;03;48;18 - 00;04;11;16
Seth
And that was, I'm going to be I'm going to outlast all of these people. So he found a job that could that he could that that could sustain him. You know, a profession while he was getting his acting career together so that he so that he could sort of sustainable. Right. So he became a carpenter. I didn't know that.

00;04;11;21 - 00;04;12;08
Stephanie
Until.

00;04;12;11 - 00;04;26;12
Seth
I asked some of our business partners recently. I was on a on a, online on a webinar, and guess what? They're like. Oh, yeah, he was a carpenter. Like, I had no idea. I love Harrison Ford. Anyway, just so happen. Did you just yawn?

00;04;26;14 - 00;04;27;17
Stephanie
No.

00;04;27;19 - 00;04;33;20
Seth
I think you just the. I'm.

00;04;33;23 - 00;04;40;14
Seth
I know that that's more an environmental thing about what we've done in our day. And has nothing to do with my story.

00;04;40;17 - 00;04;45;19
Stephanie
I plead the fifth.

00;04;45;21 - 00;04;57;01
Seth
So I'm going to go. I'm going to start. I'm going to start speaking just like some people listen on 1.5 or 2.0 speed. so what Harrison Ford did. Then he got a job and, he became a carpenter.

00;04;57;01 - 00;04;58;25
Stephanie
I didn't yawn.

00;04;58;27 - 00;05;19;00
Seth
oh, I see, I got that. It is loud and clear. So he became a carpenter, and he was actually known as the Carpenter of the stars. he started working for a lot of the, the mainline, you know, big name actors. And just so happens he was at an actor's house working on some project. And.

00;05;19;02 - 00;05;20;02
Seth
Are you really that tired?

00;05;20;06 - 00;05;24;18
Stephanie
Yes, I yeah. I really,

00;05;24;20 - 00;05;28;02
Seth
This could be a short episode today.

00;05;28;04 - 00;05;28;18
Stephanie
I'd be okay.

00;05;28;21 - 00;05;57;10
Seth
And and it's a wrap. Outro music. so he was. He was at one of the stars houses working on a on a big project, I think, in the front yard or something. And, in walks George Lucas. And they were doing readings for a movie called Star Wars. Dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun dun. And George Lucas said, hey, do you want to read with us?

00;05;57;12 - 00;06;08;12
Seth
they were there were like 300 people that were reading parts couple of months. Months later, he gets a call, says, hey, do you want to, you know, would you would you like to be Han Solo?

00;06;08;14 - 00;06;08;29
Stephanie
Wow.

00;06;09;00 - 00;06;35;00
Seth
Yeah. Powerful. So, part of our strategy here is we're just going to outlast. We just outlasted 99. Right? And we're going to keep on putting out great content. In fact, we want to share this message came through to us this week. and wow, this this this hit me in the heart from this listener.

00;06;35;03 - 00;06;41;15
Stephanie
You to your podcast needs to be in thousands of years.

00;06;41;18 - 00;06;55;22
Seth
Wow. That, that was so personal. You know, not just even things for the podcast, but you too. Like. Like somebody pointing fingers at us. You too. Not YouTube.

00;06;55;25 - 00;06;57;24
Stephanie
Oh my goodness.

00;06;57;27 - 00;07;10;13
Seth
that's a little. That's a little pocket episode. What is it, 18 with Mary Lynn? I think it is 18. No, 17. No.

00;07;10;16 - 00;07;11;28
Stephanie
15.

00;07;12;01 - 00;07;32;28
Seth
Was it that long ago? My goodness. Episode 15 with Mary Lynn. You too. I've got YouTube on my phone. Anyway, we love you, Larry, but that just. Babe, I just that it hit me like how personal. You too. your podcast needs to be in thousands of years, and I believe that.

00;07;33;00 - 00;07;33;20
Stephanie

00;07;33;22 - 00;08;02;24
Seth
And I think that's kind of the vision that we're walking in with, with. But sometimes it's easy to get lost in the weeds. You know, you start a project, and, I mean, we just we've been pounding it. We've been pounding it and like, okay, give me a break. We're only 21 episodes in, so it's not like we got a long a big history, but this has become this is we've made a major shift in our lifestyle to do this podcast.

00;08;02;27 - 00;08;20;18
Stephanie
In fact, today the girls were like our kids. Hey, mama. security guys interviewing today. Who's going to be on the podcast? Oh, we are. Oh, you guys just you and I interviewing anybody? Nope. Why?

00;08;20;21 - 00;08;21;23
Stephanie
Because that's how we roll.

00;08;21;26 - 00;08;47;01
Seth
Because every once in a while, we want to. We want to give, another special look. something that you and I, Stephanie and I have, and share that perspective with you. And, you know, I was I had this topic recently. We're sitting here for 60 to 90 minutes every. For those of you who are listening and not watching on YouTube, this Stephanie is yawning.

00;08;47;04 - 00;08;55;16
Seth
Yeah. Every time I talk now, I thought it was just a Harrison Ford story, but it's not. That's good.

00;08;55;18 - 00;08;58;07
Stephanie
So I told you I was tired.

00;08;58;09 - 00;09;05;21
Seth
we've we've had a full day rugby and sunshine and humidity and children.

00;09;05;23 - 00;09;06;22
Stephanie
And rugby.

00;09;06;25 - 00;09;09;27
Seth
And rugby and. Did we mention rugby?

00;09;09;29 - 00;09;14;07
Stephanie
Super fun. It was also very hot and humid. Yeah.

00;09;14;09 - 00;09;24;21
Seth
So thanks for being with me. We're going to see. Now, typically, I'm the one who falls asleep. Right?

00;09;24;23 - 00;09;26;15
Stephanie
Except for in movies, I fall asleep.

00;09;26;17 - 00;09;45;19
Seth
That's true. That's true. So what we wanted to do today. Well, sorry. Sorry. Let me back up. So today is solo as the girls. you know, inform you. And I just had this thought, you know, every single week. Oh, we were talking about this. We'll edit that out. There she goes again, yawning.

00;09;45;22 - 00;09;49;09
Stephanie
Here she goes. Just a yawning I'll again say.

00;09;49;09 - 00;10;03;28
Seth
And all right, babe. I mean, okay, here we go. 90 minutes. You got to stick with me. You got to stick with me for 90 minutes. We've made some sacrifices, right? Some major sacrifices, honestly, to make sure that we produce this show.

00;10;04;00 - 00;10;04;29
Stephanie
Yes.

00;10;05;01 - 00;10;26;24
Seth
That we reach women, that we create a community for women around the world. And and as this incredible friend and listener and and and diehard fan of the for every young show, said, you know, this needs to be in the ears, you know, in the eyes of thousands of women. and so we've made sacrifices. I will say this.

00;10;26;27 - 00;10;48;10
Seth
We have not. And I've had others professionals in the industry say, you guys aren't fooling around with a show like like we did start it from a production standpoint, you know, at a really high level. You know, we didn't just kind of dip our toe in the water or start at the very, very bottom. We had some coaches and and they said, okay, you know, here's what you go do.

00;10;48;10 - 00;11;16;17
Seth
And so we're going to we're going to put out a super high quality, you know, show. And we hope you're enjoying it. And if you're listening to this, you do need to hop on to the Forever Young Show. Com and and pick up episode 21 and watch this for not for no other reason. In fact, when, when, when we edit this, Ryan, when you edit this, will you make sure that even if I'm talking that Stephanie's yarns are cameoed, I think Stephanie's yarns, I think every time she you on that will be.

00;11;16;20 - 00;11;24;00
Stephanie
Maybe if I was talking. I want to be honest. I'm waiting.

00;11;24;03 - 00;11;46;06
Seth
I'll throw this idea out to you, and then we'll get into the main. That was good, by the way. That's good. Want to create a place where women love to. To come and, like, sit back porch. Sit. You're about to young.

00;11;46;09 - 00;11;56;17
Seth
So that we can bring a conversation of the utmost interest. Importance, excitement.

00;11;56;19 - 00;11;57;12
Stephanie
Need.

00;11;57;20 - 00;12;26;05
Seth
Right. Inspiration, opportunity, invitation. Like all of those, every single week that you can count on. You can count on this community. And coming here and being with your best friends, right? You and me. Right. Those those incredible guests that we've got on. Right. who are who are friends, of a community. In fact, we just heard we've been, we're not going to announce who this is yet, but we reached out to, Sammy's celebrity, right.

00;12;26;07 - 00;12;49;22
Seth
in in her field. Definitely, that we saw and, and hadn't kind of heard back from her, and we're kind of like, okay, she just ghosted us. Okay. but come to find out, she didn't really use that. That, messaging platform that that I was that we're reaching out to our own very often. And, and so when she did get that message, she's like, I love what you guys are doing.

00;12;49;22 - 00;12;54;15
Seth
I love what you guys stand for. Yeah, I want to be a part of the show. So that's coming.

00;12;54;18 - 00;12;55;13
Stephanie
Up. That's exciting.

00;12;55;13 - 00;12;56;24
Seth
In a few weeks.

00;12;56;26 - 00;12;58;12
Stephanie
It's exciting.

00;12;58;14 - 00;13;15;04
Seth
so let's join this conversation. no matter where you are today. And, so we want to celebrate this episode, and, and if you are relatively new or you haven't been here at every episode and you'd like to actually hear Stephanie's voice.

00;13;15;06 - 00;13;18;03
Stephanie
Hi.

00;13;18;05 - 00;13;39;24
Seth
We're going to give you a mash up of some highlights, of our, and some of our thoughts about the 20 episodes that we've put out here, so that maybe if you're just picking this up recently or you weren't here from John number one, you're going to start making the, if you are driving, we have to give a warning.

00;13;39;26 - 00;13;58;13
Seth
If you are driving right now, this podcast may not freeze. It may trigger yawning and, and and sleep. You're just you're doing this because we met. We did we did episode 19 with Doctor Catherine Darley. I know I'm giving a little spoiler.

00;13;58;13 - 00;13;59;19
Stephanie
Should have been yawning during her.

00;13;59;19 - 00;14;27;11
Seth
You should have been yawning during her. We talked all about sleep. Well, let's start of episode one and just jump in and talk about who we interviewed, why we did this, maybe a snippet or two and, and we'll just roll and hope you really enjoy. And even if you've listened to every single episode, maybe you'll hear something today, some of our perspective and you want to go back and you know, and listen to that or, or we'll, we'll tap some little synapse in your brain and you'll say, my friend Becky needs this.

00;14;27;11 - 00;14;36;18
Seth
My friend Sally needs that episode, right? She's she's going through, you know, she's she's in the middle of that right now. So episode number one.

00;14;36;21 - 00;15;07;27
Stephanie
Me. And don't add a done. This woman was at a function, and they were going around saying all their professions or the things that they've accomplished in their lives. And she's like, I was really disappointed to hear so many women say, I'm just a mom. And so she challenges you to change that, to boldly take that on as I am a mother, you know, because mothers create the foundation of human beings.

00;15;08;04 - 00;15;08;25
Seth
Society.

00;15;08;29 - 00;15;10;19
Stephanie
As a whole. Yeah.

00;15;10;26 - 00;15;23;24
Seth
Life. Episode one was up close and personal with my co-host and co-producer, Stephanie Mulder. Stephanie.

00;15;23;26 - 00;15;58;14
Stephanie
Yes. Now, I did not want to be the first one, but Seth talked me into it. He did have a pretty good, argument here, and so I gave in. And, so, yeah, he we had a nice discussion. He asked me a lot of questions. probably talked about some things that we actually haven't talked about. I got very personal and vulnerable.

00;15;58;16 - 00;16;26;24
Stephanie
I think I even shared 1 or 2 things that maybe I've only shared with, like, one other person. and, I really felt like it was important to be that vulnerable, because I know that everybody has been on a journey, everyone has a story. And even if it were to just help one person, then it would be worth it for me.

00;16;26;26 - 00;16;31;03
Stephanie
So I was like, so fake.

00;16;31;06 - 00;16;36;06
Seth
That was a yawn, by the way, if you're listening.

00;16;36;09 - 00;16;50;05
Stephanie
I'm laughing at you because you're like, laughing hysterically. I thought I it's funny. yeah.

00;16;50;08 - 00;16;52;27
Stephanie
So yeah.

00;16;52;29 - 00;17;16;14
Seth
What what do you what were one of the. Do you remember 1 or 2 of those things that that you've maybe never talked about? I remember, I remember we, we got pretty, pretty up close and personal, right. In a way that maybe you, you are a very vulnerable. You are a you're excellent. You have a skill at at expressing vulnerability when you communicate with people.

00;17;16;14 - 00;17;32;10
Seth
I think that's one of the reasons is, you know, like I say, you're like a secret weapon for the business, right? As we work with people is because people get an authentic relationship with you and you can connect with them really easily.

00;17;32;12 - 00;17;54;10
Stephanie
Yeah, yeah, I'd say I'm pretty pretty good at that. And, I mean, I've been through a whole lot in my life. And so I feel like, well, I know what it's like to be in a lot of situations myself. I also know what it feels like to be on the other side of healing from those situations.

00;17;54;12 - 00;18;20;07
Stephanie
I know what, I know vulnerability can be really scary, and sometimes I still am scared, but I do it anyway a lot because I know what it feels like to come out on the other side. I also know what it feels like to say something and to inspire somebody else, or to help them. receive an answer or prayers or things like that.

00;18;20;07 - 00;18;40;09
Stephanie
And so to me, it's like, wow, this feels really good. You know, it's either going to help me or it's going to help somebody else, or it's going to help both of us. Yeah. So why not like, be the buffalo, go in, head on in that storm and see what beauty can come out of it.

00;18;40;11 - 00;18;41;06
Seth
And this is.

00;18;41;06 - 00;18;42;15
Stephanie
Why.

00;18;42;18 - 00;18;45;25
Seth
I said you needed to be the first guest on the Forever Young Show. Oh my.

00;18;45;25 - 00;18;47;06
Stephanie
Goodness.

00;18;47;08 - 00;18;55;13
Seth
No. I was so excited. You know, as, as as we were thinking and and we are we knew we wanted to do an interview style show.

00;18;55;15 - 00;18;56;11
Stephanie
Just this, like.

00;18;56;16 - 00;18;57;13
Seth
Flash, this light.

00;18;57;13 - 00;19;00;07
Stephanie
Bulb went on. I was like, yeah.

00;19;00;09 - 00;19;19;04
Seth
Stephanie needs to be the first woman on this show. So that because many people will pick up an episode 103 right when we have that, but they'll also jump back, where are they going to jump back? Sometimes they jump back to the beginning. And who is this woman? Right.

00;19;19;07 - 00;19;20;16
Stephanie
Yeah.

00;19;20;18 - 00;19;30;09
Seth
and I wanted them to to really understand this is a show for women to heal the world. It's not a show for women to end with women.

00;19;30;11 - 00;19;30;25
Stephanie
Yeah.

00;19;31;02 - 00;19;44;16
Seth
Is because whatever you start with, women ends up going somewhere else, right? It ends up affecting men. Yeah. We we've been talking about some of the social norms, and I don't know if we probably get into that today, but it doesn't stay with women.

00;19;44;17 - 00;19;45;17
Stephanie
No. Right.

00;19;45;20 - 00;20;12;19
Seth
It women really as important as every single person's role is in a family unit or in a societal setting, it doesn't stay with the women it emanates. Right. That's why the that's why the Earth is, is, you know, Mother Earth, right? Because everything grows from there, doesn't, doesn't go in. Right. So I knew that they needed they needed to see, you know, this show, which is for women, for the world.

00;20;12;22 - 00;20;24;05
Seth
Who is that woman that that's kind of really at the heart of this? I'm the resident male here in the show for women, as I remind us every episode.

00;20;24;07 - 00;20;47;09
Seth
I love I love this in the, in the show notes or the description on online that says, want to do a deep dive with my co-host, best friend, business partner and lover? Did I just say that? You. I bet you never read that. What did you, Notice she is not yawning now.

00;20;47;11 - 00;20;52;07
Stephanie
Oh my goodness.

00;20;52;09 - 00;20;53;23
Seth
here's one thing that you're anything else about.

00;20;53;23 - 00;21;29;16
Stephanie
Episode one. well, honestly, I think that episode one was exactly what we're talking about and or what I've expressed in a way of I absolute did not want to be the first person to be interviewed. I've never been on a podcast before, so to be the first guest was like, what am I getting myself into? Actually, I was thinking that before when I was like, what am I getting myself into by even doing the podcast and then saying yes to being the first person being interviewed made me even more nervous and way out of my comfort zone.

00;21;29;18 - 00;21;50;02
Stephanie
but then, you know, you presented it in a way that seemed logical, and I was like, you know what? Yeah, I feel good. Even though I, I'm very scared and went head on, so and, yeah, I feel like I've grown a lot from there. And like I said, on the other side of vulnerability and healing. So,

00;21;50;05 - 00;21;56;24
Seth
And, this is a message to, to every woman listening like you're on the journey with us.

00;21;56;26 - 00;21;57;06
Stephanie
Right?

00;21;57;07 - 00;22;18;16
Seth
We've had friends who've commented, wow, you guys are growing, right, Stephanie? Wow. I've seen you grow so much, Seth. I've seen you grow. Right. And and so we're not coming. We're not coming to this show, you know, as, as, you know, from a worldly standpoint or a secular standpoint, you know, celebrities or anything.

00;22;18;18 - 00;22;19;09
Stephanie
You know, we're.

00;22;19;09 - 00;22;39;25
Seth
Like like, like like ladies. We're in the car with you right now, right? We're your best friend. We're your next door neighbor, kind of a people. And this is just this is a this is a message and an invitation and, and to, to quote a current social media trend, I don't know who needs to hear this, but. Right.

00;22;39;28 - 00;22;49;14
Seth
This is for you. You want to start something new in your life. You want to start why we're here. You want to start taking care of you because we know it's not going to end with you.

00;22;49;16 - 00;22;49;27
Stephanie
That's where it.

00;22;49;27 - 00;23;00;18
Seth
Starts, right? Your mind, your body, your money. Then. Then it's okay. It's okay to be wherever you are. And let's just get the journey going. Even if it's vulnerable.

00;23;00;19 - 00;23;01;21
Stephanie
We'll meet you where you're at.

00;23;01;23 - 00;23;24;15
Seth
That's right. So one thing I did think about, and, as I was talking with Kate, Sybil Rude, who is in a later episode, right. And one of our content coaches, this is a subject. She being a single mom that is super, super prevalent and which you may see more content from us, by the way, like, tell us what you think the forever Young show at gmail.com.

00;23;24;17 - 00;23;29;18
Seth
What do you want to hear? What do you want to talk about? Do you have a recommendation of someone you'd like to be on the show? Right?

00;23;29;18 - 00;23;32;29
Stephanie
And why?

00;23;33;02 - 00;23;49;21
Seth
But this is a question that we will answer on episode one. What does finding a new love after divorce look like, and how do you break out of those previous patterns? We're not going to answer it right here, but it's answered in there. I know you're like,

00;23;49;24 - 00;23;50;24
Stephanie
Like, oh, the wheels are.

00;23;50;24 - 00;24;15;17
Seth
Turning. I didn't, we did, we did not cover that in the pre-show. So that's something you can find in that episode. How do you recreate yourself and how do you how do you make sure that you don't make. You don't find yourself in with the same relationship problems. Right. And that, of course, starts with a cliffhanger. We're not going to tell you, except for Stephanie's pointing at you, right?

00;24;15;17 - 00;24;19;07
Seth
It starts with you. So episode one, we got it started.

00;24;19;09 - 00;24;20;15
Stephanie
Right to go. Yeah.

00;24;20;17 - 00;24;32;18
Seth
And at the time we said, kept on saying, this is, you know, one day, one day, one day. And that was one day. day, one day. One.

00;24;32;20 - 00;24;39;12
Stephanie
Oh that's funny. All right, so episode two was with Tish Jackson.

00;24;39;14 - 00;25;02;22
Speaker 3
You know, you give a woman groceries and she creates dinner. You give a woman a house, and she creates a home. You give a woman a sperm and she creates a baby. You know, women are creators. We are that by nature, right? We're nurture creators. And that's that's one of our special gifts that God has given us, is we are creators.

00;25;02;24 - 00;25;05;06
Stephanie
I love being a woman.

00;25;05;09 - 00;25;12;16
Seth
I'm glad that you said, because I was about to read it, and it just there was something about it that it just did not resonate with me. So I'm glad that you did that.

00;25;12;17 - 00;25;42;02
Stephanie
I mean, that would have been awesome, but, man, I just love Tish. She is the epitome of such a beautiful woman on the inside and the outside, and I really loved, getting vulnerable with her and crying and, you know, just seeing that beautiful side of her, come out. so, yeah, that's what Tish said about her life.

00;25;42;02 - 00;26;07;12
Stephanie
That she loves being a woman. How often do you hear a woman saying that? I love, love being a woman. Yes. Now I'm going to say that I'm guilty sometimes, like I've, I I've gotten a lot better. When I was younger, I, I was what my aunt would call a tom girl. Like there were some aspects of me that were very girly, but then there were other aspects of me like, I want to go play and roll around in the dirt with the boys.

00;26;07;15 - 00;26;10;13
Stephanie
That sounds really bad.

00;26;10;15 - 00;26;13;28
Seth
And clarify just one boy.

00;26;14;01 - 00;26;16;07
Stephanie
I meant when I was little, I know.

00;26;16;08 - 00;26;17;08
Seth
To talking about.

00;26;17;08 - 00;26;37;17
Stephanie
Like, hey, I want to go play in the dirt. Yeah. So like some really fond memories of camping with the cousins and we'd all go, you know, hang out and just go do stuff in the dirt, you know, go play. And, and I loved it. Like I wasn't one of those. I wasn't like a tomboy because, like, you know, there were still really girly aspects about.

00;26;37;17 - 00;26;47;29
Stephanie
Yeah, but there were also other aspects that other girls would be like, I don't want to do that. I want to do hair and Barbies. And I'm like.

00;26;48;01 - 00;26;50;25
Seth
Solely. But did you do hair and Barbies?

00;26;50;27 - 00;26;57;26
Stephanie
a little bit. Not a lot. Anyways, I don't even remember why I was saying that.

00;26;57;26 - 00;26;58;19
Seth
Oh, you're talking about love.

00;26;58;19 - 00;27;35;09
Stephanie
Because loving being a woman. And the more I learn about the beauty of being a woman, the gifts from God, of being a woman, growing up and becoming a woman. And, just all the beautiful gifts that come with that and, the love, like, one book that I've read is God Comes to Women. And that really gave me a new perspective on how God looks at me as a woman and how beautiful that was.

00;27;35;11 - 00;27;48;02
Stephanie
You know, a lot of times I feel like people degrade women, or even women themselves will degrade their role. Well, I'm just a mom. Just.

00;27;48;04 - 00;27;51;23
Seth
You know, I'm just a homemaker. Just a stay at home mom or.

00;27;51;24 - 00;28;00;16
Stephanie
And, that book and the other book, that we recently reference and one of the last episodes, I am a mother. Oh, I'm.

00;28;00;16 - 00;28;01;06
Seth
A mother now.

00;28;01;08 - 00;28;24;27
Stephanie
And, those two books have really helped me to realize even more so. Like, totally uplevel the fact that I love being a woman. but before that, when I did that interview, when we did that interview with Tish, you know, wow, it was so powerful. So powerful.

00;28;24;29 - 00;28;53;18
Seth
And we we want. Like, the way I look at at that woman head, right from a creation standpoint is women are the they're not second rate. There's a great there's a great song by Keith Urban right, called female where he talks about all these roles that women have and also kind of like the, the, the not the balance but the opposite.

00;28;53;18 - 00;29;10;00
Seth
Right. Like where you made where you second, you know, women are you are you second rate or are you God's crowning creation. Right. Was Adam first? Were or and your second or are you the crowning creation.

00;29;10;00 - 00;29;11;24
Stephanie
Was the best save for last.

00;29;11;24 - 00;29;43;17
Seth
Right? Right. And, I just, I just again, when you ask Tish about, you know, what do you love about life? I love being a woman. Just there's so much power and purity and truth and intelligence was like, wow, this woman is happy and loving, being her right in all her femininity and the various roles of mother and and wife and grandmother and before all of those woman, individual person.

00;29;43;17 - 00;29;44;09
Seth
Right.

00;29;44;11 - 00;30;08;19
Stephanie
Well, and you know, friends and being a servant leader, you know, all that they're doing with hearts and hands for humanity in Africa and seeing, how much, you know, when I went on that volunteer trip, humanitarian trip, how much we got to serve the women and connect with the women, and all they wanted was a smile and a halo, a wave.

00;30;08;24 - 00;30;16;05
Stephanie
And that lit them up, you know, to be noticed. So beautiful.

00;30;16;08 - 00;30;38;21
Seth
In that episode. There's an incredible story, of of a of a civil war relics that you got to if you want to, you know, check those super, super important, kind of internal what's what what's inside of you. I won't I won't give the spoiler, but, go check out the door story in episode two. I, by the way, I just love tissues.

00;30;38;21 - 00;30;47;17
Seth
Tissues. Dream. My dream one day is to have land in the country where all my kids and their families can live close, and we can raise a million puppies.

00;30;47;19 - 00;31;02;09
Stephanie
That is Otis. Yeah. All right, so episode three. My mom can do anything. So can I. and that was with am. And.

00;31;02;12 - 00;31;15;27
Speaker 3
You know, and when I drive new car, which you was like a baby. I don't have anyone to know either. Yeah. She's like young male, gay male. Yeah, yeah. And I brought that in the time. And my car is not automatic enough.

00;31;15;29 - 00;31;22;25
Stephanie
I had to use a manual. Yeah. We're driving down. Yeah, I got, I got a stick shift nursing.

00;31;22;25 - 00;31;23;27
Seth
A baby.

00;31;23;29 - 00;31;26;03
Stephanie
And making a U-turn. Yeah.

00;31;26;06 - 00;31;28;17
Seth
This is still a party girl.

00;31;28;18 - 00;31;43;18
Stephanie
Oh, we recorded this one in Bangkok, Thailand. And, that. I just love them. They're they're like family.

00;31;43;21 - 00;32;03;25
Seth
They are. They're truly family. I'm glad that you went on that route, because I was like, man, setting that episode up in the studio for that in the glass office with people going by and all of the recording problems we actually had and the the, you know, that was only episode three. And of course, we were out of studio.

00;32;03;25 - 00;32;06;18
Seth
We were across the country. So carrying all that gear with the.

00;32;06;18 - 00;32;07;13
Stephanie
World, honey.

00;32;07;16 - 00;32;19;28
Seth
Yeah. Across from across multiple countries. so I was just thinking about, well, I'm glad if we ever did that again, I would change how we did that, but, Incredible. Mom and mom and daughter story.

00;32;20;01 - 00;32;21;26
Stephanie
Right? Yeah. Yes.

00;32;21;28 - 00;32;35;11
Seth
living in their car, literally having virtually, you know, almost nothing, to running a multimillion dollar business now, traveling the world.

00;32;35;18 - 00;32;37;06
Stephanie
Inspiring others.

00;32;37;06 - 00;32;38;11
Seth
And so giving.

00;32;38;14 - 00;32;56;18
Stephanie
Yeah. And humble. Yes. I think, there's one story about, her son. Our son? Yes, brother that we've got to go check out. Like, that's probably one of the bigger things that actually impacted me while we were doing the interview.

00;32;56;20 - 00;33;10;27
Seth
Basically, without spoiling the story, the power that you have as an authority figure in, in this case, your children's lives to in a sense, I'll say, predestined.

00;33;10;27 - 00;33;11;08
Stephanie
Them.

00;33;11;15 - 00;33;16;03
Seth
Right, to accomplish great things.

00;33;16;06 - 00;33;20;06
Stephanie

00;33;20;08 - 00;33;21;22
Seth
Episode four.

00;33;21;25 - 00;33;22;14
Stephanie

00;33;22;16 - 00;33;24;12
Seth
So, we did.

00;33;24;12 - 00;33;45;01
Stephanie
This in her name, Florence LaRocca. I wasn't I couldn't be that mother because I was kind of lost. And what holds you? It's a miracle of life and faith. That is it. Whoever in this world doesn't have any joy about life. It's because they don't carry faith with them.

00;33;45;02 - 00;34;01;09
Seth
I love Flo, a dear friend of ours from boardroom to tragedy to triumph. interview with Florence LaRocca from. That reminds me of the salsa dancing lesson that we did in the park.

00;34;01;15 - 00;34;24;13
Stephanie
Oh, that was fun. So we we interviewed Florence or Flo, as we call her. in Puerto Rico. And Seth and I were fortunate enough to do a little couple's getaway at the same time. And, had some really, really good times there. And one of them was taking some salsa dancing lessons. It was incredible.

00;34;24;15 - 00;34;38;14
Seth
As you know, Stephanie and I met on the dance floor country dancing, country swing and, and so expanding our repertoire, you know, was a lot of fun.

00;34;38;20 - 00;34;39;21
Stephanie
It was super.

00;34;39;23 - 00;35;03;26
Seth
Fun. No matter where Stephanie got like, she like like you, you're you're Hispanic. You got Latino hips. like serious girl. but then we go to islands, we go to Hawaii, and all of a sudden you're. You're my Hawaiian girl, right? Or Tahiti?

00;35;03;28 - 00;35;04;29
Stephanie
We haven't been to Tahiti.

00;35;05;03 - 00;35;20;03
Seth
I know, but the Hawaiians do the Tahiti dance, and those girls shake the, you know, the Tahiti dance, the grass skirt dance. Right? And you have no problem doing that. And then we go to the Middle East and you're like, you know, you can do the belly dance. You know you can.

00;35;20;06 - 00;35;26;08
Stephanie
Okay, so moving on.

00;35;26;10 - 00;35;30;22
Seth
salsa dancing was great, but flow anyway, talking about flow.

00;35;30;25 - 00;35;31;23
Stephanie
Go ahead.

00;35;31;25 - 00;35;34;01
Seth
I was just going to say,

00;35;34;04 - 00;35;35;11
Stephanie
That.

00;35;35;13 - 00;36;00;05
Seth
The more I work with flow, because we get to work with with her, you know, in international business and CEO women. And I'm always just so impressed. Like, she was the first female, to become an executive vice president, a position at Campbell Soup Company. Right. Campbell soup. Nestle. Are they now together? But anyway, like, it works on multibillion dollar company over Latino.

00;36;00;05 - 00;36;18;04
Seth
And you know, she's up and down the East coast and New York and and, you know, Puerto Rico like this lady lived a career life, then, you know, motherhood and kind of balance those and decided what she really wanted. And then her, her, traumatic brain injury, which changed everything.

00;36;18;04 - 00;36;19;17
Stephanie
And,

00;36;19;20 - 00;36;33;06
Seth
but she is just she is, so inspirational and so full of authentic. Latina energy.

00;36;33;09 - 00;36;36;04
Stephanie
And. Yes, I love it. Yeah. She's she's.

00;36;36;04 - 00;36;36;26
Seth
She's spice.

00;36;37;02 - 00;36;46;06
Stephanie
She's nice. I was going to say she's fire. Yeah. Absolutely. Love her.

00;36;46;08 - 00;37;10;29
Seth
So if you know anybody with TBI traumatic brain injury and or significant health, challenges, injuries, I mean, like, like 90 degree turns, like, you know, again, tragedy. Right. just what a Stephanie's yawning again. listen, we have to give play by play to people who are listening on Spotify and Apple.

00;37;11;02 - 00;37;19;13
Stephanie
Okay, maybe we don't. I'm like, to to play that.

00;37;19;15 - 00;37;39;07
Seth
but tremendous episode about about overcoming that, you know, going from a peak to a valley and then rediscovering totally, like, totally reinventing herself as she seeks to piece back her physical life. Right.

00;37;39;10 - 00;37;43;08
Stephanie
all all while being a mother. Yeah. Wow.

00;37;43;08 - 00;37;59;28
Seth
And and faith. Like she is a woman. Oh. Of absolutely deep and tremendous living faith. Not the kind that's, the scripture, not the kind that's written in red in your Bible, you know, but that woman lives. Faith.

00;38;00;02 - 00;38;11;22
Stephanie
I agree, I agree. All right. Episode five with, Tiffany Larsen. A world where periods are never a problem.

00;38;11;25 - 00;38;46;00
Speaker 3
This, for girls, is an international organization that is working to create a world where periods are never a problem. We are an organized action that is working to eliminate period poverty globally. We do that through a combination of access to products, education and advocacy. Those are our three programmatic pillars that we work on to date. Since these four girls began in 2008, we have reached over 3 million women and girls in 145 countries.

00;38;46;00 - 00;39;26;03
Stephanie
So Tiffany is the CEO for days for girls. And, man, I learned so much in that episode. You know, being a woman, having my own period. and even going to Tanzania, Africa and, like, learning more about cultural differences in, the, the providing and the care for girls and women and their period cycle. You know, I learned a lot even just going there and then doing this episode with Tiffany.

00;39;26;05 - 00;39;49;27
Stephanie
Wow, wow. It was powerful. It was life changing for me, to be honest. it really gave me a new perspective. And, helped me to be able to, empathize with others and to think outside the box of where I'm at myself and how I can help others.

00;39;49;29 - 00;40;00;07
Seth
I mean, I just we had to name well, we named it, but we named the episode, we gave it that title because that's what they teach. That is the mission.

00;40;00;09 - 00;40;00;28
Stephanie

00;40;01;08 - 00;40;15;25
Seth
you know, of of kind of a motto, I guess you could say war cry of or a peace cry of days for girls, a, a world where periods are not a problem. In many cultures they are treated as if they're a problem.

00;40;15;28 - 00;40;16;20
Stephanie
Yes.

00;40;16;22 - 00;40;36;03
Seth
you know, women, you know, girls really, you know, confined to solitary confinement in a shack, you know, until they're, they're done with their menstrual cycle. And I guess you're never really done with your menstrual cycle, but you you until you finish one, that one part of.

00;40;36;03 - 00;40;37;03
Stephanie
It, you know, bleeding cycle.

00;40;37;03 - 00;41;03;15
Seth
Yeah, yeah. There you go. but just normal for this episode is so empowering as we seek to, empower women. And again, because it doesn't stay with women. Right. And as we say, men who know, you know, and families, I mean, we're teaching that in our family. Like, listen, the word period is not just a sentence structure.

00;41;03;18 - 00;41;18;08
Seth
you know, word in our home was we're going to talk about it, folks. Yeah. Young men, you need to know about it. And we're we're going to we're going to talk about it. Right. We're not and we're not going to be embarrassed about it. And girls, we're going to talk about it. Hey, we're looking forward to here's here's how your body's going to mature.

00;41;18;08 - 00;41;22;03
Seth
Like like it is it's to be it should be celebrated.

00;41;22;05 - 00;41;22;13
Stephanie
Yes.

00;41;22;15 - 00;41;24;07
Seth
And it should be understood.

00;41;24;10 - 00;42;00;02
Stephanie
Absolutely. You know. Absolutely. It's it's very important. I think even for a girl or a woman's emotional health and psyche, for them to feel like they don't need to be ashamed of their period and honestly, that it is a blessing, from God, something that we didn't talk about, I don't think, because, I mean, we were talking about, you know, the mission for days for girls and all that they're doing around the world and the incredible impacts that they're making, on generations.

00;42;00;04 - 00;42;15;09
Stephanie
But one thing maybe we can even talk about in the future is how, like, go more in detail about the period cycle and how, this, this.

00;42;15;11 - 00;42;21;21
Seth
This reaction in my, my face is, wow, that's a great idea reaction. Not, it.

00;42;21;21 - 00;42;23;11
Stephanie
Definitely did not look like, oh, no.

00;42;23;11 - 00;42;24;09
Seth
No, no, I was more.

00;42;24;09 - 00;42;26;10
Stephanie
Of a oh.

00;42;26;12 - 00;42;33;15
Seth
No no no no no no. My brain was already kind of like, oh, we're talking about a clinical approach to the period. Yes.

00;42;33;17 - 00;43;10;05
Stephanie
Yes. And, you know, because for most of my life I thought that, you know, cramping and bloating was normal. Here I am, you know, I mean, I'm already almost 41, but I just found out a few years ago that it's not that actually means that there's underlying issues. Anyway. So I was just thinking about that since we were talking about days for girls and how I don't I if I can help other girls and women, learn about these things sooner so that they can help take care of their health sooner, like, yes, let's do it.

00;43;10;08 - 00;43;29;28
Seth
So that episode, episode five, was really about the societal interactions, environmental, cultural, approaches, to the, kind of the societal psyche, surrounding periods. We.

00;43;30;00 - 00;43;51;16
Seth
Are going to get into an episode really about the just about understanding the physiological side of periods, maybe in ways that we didn't know, like, hey, you got a body. Might as well find out really how it's supposed to work. And and again, I mean, you've been having you've been have you been you've been in that menstrual cycle for decades.

00;43;51;16 - 00;43;53;14
Stephanie
Yeah.

00;43;53;16 - 00;43;54;26
Seth
And and still.

00;43;54;26 - 00;44;06;25
Stephanie
Learning. Tell me about it. Yes. Yes. Still learning about it even, you know, just working with the hormone doctor and and really getting to the root of things and the nitty gritty. You know, maybe we can ask her to. Come on.

00;44;06;25 - 00;44;08;21
Seth
Oh, yeah. Doctor Jane.

00;44;08;24 - 00;44;32;24
Stephanie
Talk about it. she's absolutely incredible and knowledgeable. And anyways, love to have her on here. but, yes. Like, how that could have really changed me. Or even other girls and women that I know how it kind of really helps. you know, some girls miss school because they're in so much pain they can barely function, you know?

00;44;32;24 - 00;44;35;07
Stephanie
So I think that would be a good one to talk about. Yeah.

00;44;35;10 - 00;44;40;08
Seth
Love it, love it, love it, love it. Awesome. Episode six.

00;44;40;11 - 00;45;06;05
Stephanie
And oh, while I was going through, divorce process and I was young, I had so many people comment, especially within, you know, my church friends, that were just like, oh, man, you're gonna be snatched up so fast. I give it a year or less. Like, you would not believe how many people said that to me. They're like, you're beautiful, you're energetic, you're fun, you're young.

00;45;06;08 - 00;45;08;24
Stephanie
You just have so much to give.

00;45;08;27 - 00;45;20;01
Seth
this one was interesting to me. I'll tell you why. So vulnerability, submission and giving it to God's timing. Starring. Well, there was no star. Was just you and me.

00;45;20;04 - 00;45;29;19
Stephanie
I thought you were going to be like, you know, kind of go into it like the Forever Young show. With Seth and stuff. That's right.

00;45;29;22 - 00;45;43;22
Seth
I remember when we sent that episode to Kate, Sybil Rude and said, what do you think of this episode? You know, and she's like, I love it, right? And I love it when you talked about submission, right?

00;45;43;23 - 00;45;45;18
Stephanie
Which I was shocked.

00;45;45;21 - 00;45;47;20
Seth
Okay. I was shocked.

00;45;47;22 - 00;46;09;28
Stephanie
because I don't know, you know, a lot of women are they don't like that word submission. and I think because, a lot of, women have experienced submission in a very toxic way, in a very traumatic way.

00;46;10;01 - 00;46;16;26
Seth
Almost compulsion, being compelled to submit. Yeah. Right. Yeah. Is that what you mean?

00;46;16;29 - 00;46;34;02
Stephanie
yeah, I think to a degree, yeah. and so when I said it like, like we were just talking, having a conversation and it came out of my mouth and I was like, I've definitely, you know, played it off like, no, I, I said that.

00;46;34;04 - 00;46;38;08
Seth
Basically you're talking about submitting to your husband or submitting to me is that we were.

00;46;38;09 - 00;46;52;10
Stephanie
Talking. Yes. Yeah. Submitting to you in a healthy way. Yeah. In a give and take away because it's not just me submitting. It's also you submitting to me in the relationship and to God.

00;46;52;15 - 00;46;53;23
Seth
And to God. Yeah.

00;46;53;26 - 00;47;02;15
Stephanie
Which is the most important piece is both of us submitting our will to God and then submitting ourselves to each other.

00;47;02;17 - 00;47;05;13
Seth
Well, and the thing about Cade is, Kate's a strong woman.

00;47;05;16 - 00;47;07;28
Stephanie
Oh, yes, she is. You know.

00;47;08;00 - 00;47;10;04
Seth
Kate, shout out for you, Kate, in Las Vegas.

00;47;10;04 - 00;47;11;14
Stephanie
So are her kids.

00;47;11;16 - 00;47;16;01
Seth
Yes, they are, they are. They've had a little they've gone a little viral lately, actually.

00;47;16;05 - 00;47;16;13
Stephanie
Yeah.

00;47;16;14 - 00;47;40;10
Seth
Mine. we'll get to maybe that in, when we get to Kate's episode, but it really it came at me, when she made that comment. Well, I love the way you approached submission. Right. in in that beautiful kind of vulnerability and strength. Submission, I do not think is weakness.

00;47;40;12 - 00;47;42;21
Stephanie
No.

00;47;42;23 - 00;47;45;18
Seth
grounded, godly submission.

00;47;45;20 - 00;47;47;15
Stephanie
Right.

00;47;47;17 - 00;47;59;20
Seth
in a relationship. yeah. It just so surprised me that she said that, that that's the topic and she said boom, you nailed it. I love that.

00;47;59;23 - 00;48;20;05
Stephanie
We to God listening to God, he's you know, if I actually thought about it I don't know that I would have said it. Yeah. But God was just feeding me some of the thoughts and I was speaking them. And then I was like, oh, okay, that's what you were feeding me. All right, let's roll with this.

00;48;20;07 - 00;48;44;24
Seth
So this brings up, you know, I've been kind of poking my nose into, into some, you know, content out there. And I think you, if I'm not mistaken, we're talking to me about this recently about masculinity and femininity. And, you know, we we we, each of us. I truly believe that, like, as a man obviously have mask.

00;48;45;00 - 00;48;52;07
Seth
I have masculinity or masculine character, but I also have I mean, I came from a when I came out of a woman, right. Wow.

00;48;52;07 - 00;48;56;16
Stephanie
That was interesting.

00;48;56;19 - 00;49;10;25
Seth
My mom like like like there's a DNA share there, you know. So so there are softer parts, right, of a man and vulnerability, we might call it I, you know, your feminine power, I don't I honestly, I don't know how to put that.

00;49;10;28 - 00;49;11;26
Stephanie
You could.

00;49;11;28 - 00;49;14;18
Seth
Because women have a masculine power, don't.

00;49;14;18 - 00;49;38;04
Stephanie
You. Or a masculine side to them. Yeah. Yes, yes. We all carry both. It's. Which one are we residing? And you know, and it's really important for that. Give and take in a relationship for a woman to reside in her feminine power and to not cross over and take over masculine power to, because then you have to make a choice of how am I going to be?

00;49;38;06 - 00;49;40;04
Stephanie
And and it can be.

00;49;40;04 - 00;49;42;15
Seth
Oh, you mean me? Yeah, me. Is it me as a man?

00;49;42;15 - 00;49;48;28
Stephanie
You know, since we're in a relationship, newsflash.

00;49;49;01 - 00;49;51;15
Seth
We are in a relationship like this.

00;49;51;17 - 00;49;52;02
Stephanie
And let me tell.

00;49;52;02 - 00;49;55;21
Seth
You is a good one.

00;49;55;24 - 00;50;21;21
Stephanie
Yes. Anyways, there's there's some roles there, and there's beauty and power in both the man being, firm in his masculinity and the woman being in her femininity and, also possessing a little of both, and using them in the right way at the right time. And it can be very supportive of the other role. And you do that.

00;50;21;23 - 00;50;36;13
Seth
Yin and yang. Right. Like like the sun and the moon. I mean, I know that's not, you know, maybe I'm speaking more metaphorically, but but yeah, ebbs and flows, right.

00;50;36;16 - 00;50;37;27
Stephanie
Yeah.

00;50;38;00 - 00;50;44;19
Seth
I that's such an, I think that's such a deep subject that I'm still trying to understand myself.

00;50;44;22 - 00;50;55;29
Stephanie
Right. There's somebody that I'm going to ask if we can do an interview with on that, and, you know, it might end up needing to be two episodes because that could really be a big one.

00;50;56;01 - 00;51;02;26
Seth
So I'm still, you know, seeking to understand that, like me, not, hey, like, I'm a man. I know that I'm a man and.

00;51;02;28 - 00;51;06;10
Stephanie
I know you're a man.

00;51;06;12 - 00;51;13;12
Seth
And neither one of us are yawning right now.

00;51;13;15 - 00;51;14;11
Stephanie
oh.

00;51;14;13 - 00;52;02;18
Seth
But I think our society has gone through so many changes and really, really like our society is trying to figure so many things out. Like, I mean, for example, you know, we've got a huge shift, you know, in the last several decades, you know, with the LGBTQ movement and, you know, transgender, issues and, and, and I say that not to jump in that that's, that's many subjects, but that there are obviously a lot of questions, confusion, trauma.

00;52;02;20 - 00;52;03;13
Stephanie

00;52;05;23 - 00;52;41;09
Seth
friction. Right. That are that people, individuals are experiencing in understanding biology, and also character development or masculinity and femininity. You were saying something recently about, about what are you what are we saying about that subject we got? I walked in on you listening to I think somebody who you're gonna invite on the show, but just talking about how.

00;52;41;12 - 00;52;45;01
Seth
When you have some masculine traits, right?

00;52;45;03 - 00;52;49;07
Stephanie
Sure. Yeah.

00;52;49;09 - 00;52;58;07
Seth
but being in a relationship with me now, and you're not a single mom anymore. Yeah. Do you. How do you think that changed when we got married, by the way?

00;52;58;10 - 00;53;27;27
Stephanie
Oh, absolutely. Relieved me of a lot of things. Because, you know, I used to. I don't know that I would say joke about it, but, sometimes I used to even, you know, say to myself on Father's Day, Happy Father's Day, you know, or say to my other single mom friends, you know, Happy Father's Day. Not necessarily because they're a man, but because when you're a single parent, you take on both roles, especially when your children are in your home.

00;53;27;29 - 00;54;03;10
Stephanie
Yeah. And, and, you know, that's I think that's one thing that, I was listening to a podcast recently and she was talking about how, frequently when we have a single mother and she's filling the role of the father, whether, you know, he's absent or or just, you know, when she has the children. I mean, she has to provide which typically, you know, is a masculine thing providing whether it's food or, you know, any, anything shelter, clothing.

00;54;03;12 - 00;54;08;16
Stephanie
Well, the woman has to step up and, provide that for.

00;54;08;22 - 00;54;09;06
Seth
What you were.

00;54;09;06 - 00;54;24;06
Stephanie
Doing. Yes. You have to, be the protector when they're with you. You know, there there are a lot of things that you might share and do some sometimes. But really, you know, typically the man is the protector.

00;54;24;08 - 00;54;26;06
Seth
Well, and if you're a woman.

00;54;26;08 - 00;54;29;02
Stephanie
Mother,

00;54;29;04 - 00;55;02;21
Seth
And as growing and this can change in different regions and, you know, the numbers are different depending on your ethnic background, but so many mothers are not just that when their children are at home every other week and, you know, we're gone everywhere, it's like many of those men are not checked in. Yes. Right. Yes. And so there may be those extenuating circumstances that were kind of the rarity, maybe in generations past are becoming less rare.

00;55;02;23 - 00;55;10;01
Seth
so that that all has. Happy Father's Day, moms. Those numbers are rising.

00;55;10;04 - 00;55;43;20
Stephanie
Yes. And so this woman in this podcast was talking about how, so you take a single mom and she has to step into the masculine and the feminine role, and sometimes she, she may go really far into the masculine side. And so it's harder to find a man who is willing to accept that unless he's more of a feminine, you know, taking on more of a feminine role, which in that case, then you really aren't getting what you want because you want a man who's going to take care of you and provide for your family and protect you.

00;55;43;20 - 00;55;45;23
Stephanie
And I don't know, am I making sense?

00;55;45;29 - 00;55;49;14
Seth
Yes. And boy, I mean, like, like and.

00;55;49;14 - 00;55;52;13
Stephanie
Again, I could be an episode.

00;55;52;16 - 00;56;13;26
Seth
We would love to know what you think. Like what we're talking about here. Does this resonate with you or does this you does this take you off? Right. Like like again, our society is changing in many of these traditional roles are changing, by the way, like women have been involved in, in protecting. You want to talk about protecting mama Bear.

00;56;13;26 - 00;56;19;05
Seth
That's a reason they call a mama bear. They never say daddy bear unless you're talking about the berenstein bears.

00;56;19;05 - 00;56;20;01
Stephanie
Papa.

00;56;20;03 - 00;56;20;08
Seth
Yeah.

00;56;20;08 - 00;56;22;09
Stephanie
Which is totally in the,

00;56;22;11 - 00;56;34;01
Seth
The locks. Yeah, yeah. I mean, like, I'm like, no, you want to see protecting? It's called Mama Bear, right? Or it's called mama hen, or it's called like mama. Yeah. And mama moose.

00;56;34;07 - 00;56;47;26
Stephanie
Well, well, it's actually a really good example because the mom isn't that way, like, all the time. No, just she's not in protective mode. It's only when it's needed. Yeah. It's like, oh, you just did something to my child. You're going to meet Mama Bear now, you.

00;56;47;26 - 00;57;05;16
Seth
Know you're crossing that line. Yes. but we would love to know what you think. again? Send us an email. drop some, drop some question on the website. We actually need to get a comment section on the website so you can drop questions about the Forever Young show on Facebook. Yeah, or the Forever Young show at gmail.com.

00;57;05;16 - 00;57;23;21
Seth
Or you can, you know, see Stephanie on any of our social channels. yeah. Does this make you mad as we're talking about it? Because because I know some people are going to be mad. Let's have the discussion again. This this is a discussion with your besties right here. Whether we agree or not. But we want to bring these issues, you know, a valuable discussion to you.

00;57;23;21 - 00;57;52;16
Seth
Yes. This makes total sense to me. Staff. That what so what I was going to say is, you know, protecting isn't solely a masculine. Well, maybe we call it a masculine trait, even though it's an eight women. So I don't know. I don't know how to I don't yeah, every mother has that mama bear in her. But I think what many women are finding as well, we'll just talk with the women we know.

00;57;52;18 - 00;57;58;21
Seth
Man, those women are looking for a they're looking for a man that will be a man.

00;57;58;26 - 00;57;59;19
Stephanie
Yes.

00;57;59;21 - 00;58;11;16
Seth
Even if they're, you know, like like even if you're a woman who say, you say you have a career and you don't need a man to go make money because you need it.

00;58;11;20 - 00;58;12;10
Stephanie
Yeah, but.

00;58;12;10 - 00;58;18;16
Seth
Maybe you would like not to be working eight hours a week, right?

00;58;18;23 - 00;58;41;07
Stephanie
Well, the beautiful thing about, having a relationship with a man who is willing to take that on and, gives you permission to step into your femininity more and not devote so much time and energy to masculinity, is you get to choose at that point. Yeah. You know, it's not I have to do this. I have to fulfill these roles.

00;58;41;07 - 00;58;52;07
Stephanie
It's okay. Together we will choose, you know, if I'm going to need to be doing this or if I want to do this instead of, I have to do this right to survive.

00;58;52;13 - 00;58;58;29
Seth
And women have a drive also to create when that's, you know, that's in one later episode with with Momo.

00;58;59;05 - 00;58;59;17
Stephanie
Yes.

00;58;59;17 - 00;59;11;04
Seth
Cheesecake. The cheesecake queen pin. Somebody commented, you know, I called her the the the kingpin. Yes, of the Cheesecake Mafia. And somebody corrected me and said, she's the Queen pin.

00;59;11;07 - 00;59;11;26
Stephanie
I love it.

00;59;11;26 - 00;59;25;26
Seth
I love it, but you know how she wanted to create her. She loved being a mother. There was something about and having an outlet to create. And that's what spawned.

00;59;25;28 - 00;59;26;22
Stephanie

00;59;26;24 - 00;59;29;19
Seth
Momo's gourmet cheesecake. The business.

00;59;29;20 - 00;59;30;01
Stephanie
Yes.

00;59;30;01 - 00;59;30;17
Seth
Right.

00;59;30;19 - 00;59;30;27
Stephanie
Yeah.

00;59;30;27 - 00;59;50;29
Seth
So yeah. Boy, we could jump into masculine and infinity and and masculinity. Femininity discussion. yeah. More to come on that. Let us know what you think about that. Holy cow. So, you know, we were we were going to try to make sure we did three minutes per episode. I think definitely we're filling that.

00;59;51;02 - 01;00;00;05
Stephanie
Room. Okay. So episode seven was Cycle Breakers from Trauma to Triumph interview with Patty boom.

01;00;00;10 - 01;00;23;29
Speaker 3
And I wrote down this list of who I think I am started with I am a daughter of God. The second one was I am a woman of faith. I won't tell you my whole list, but I took each one of those and I spent a week writing journaling about them. What that meant to me to be a daughter of God.

01;00;24;02 - 01;00;43;03
Speaker 3
And it has been. It has been transformational. I didn't want to hurry through it because I do have a tendency to okay, I did that. Let's move on, especially with grief, because you don't want to stay in it. And guess what? It's here to stay. Grief is the price we pay for love.

01;00;43;05 - 01;00;58;26
Seth
So Patty is a certified holistic health practitioner. and. From a mentor standpoint, I'm speaking personally in my own life. Women mentor. outside of you, my wife. Right?

01;00;58;29 - 01;01;02;11
Stephanie
Yes.

01;01;02;14 - 01;01;34;15
Seth
Sage wisdom. Like she's top five of all women that that I've ever encountered and that I would I would entrust my vulnerability and, you know, and ask and she I mean, she found me. We became friends, you know, she and her husband, Curtis, when I was in a very vulnerable position, you know, as a single dad, but, so she's a holistic health practitioner, health coach, life coach, herbalist, and a published author, including her book.

01;01;34;17 - 01;01;35;22
Stephanie
From Trauma to Trial.

01;01;35;22 - 01;01;37;00
Seth
Which you have read.

01;01;37;02 - 01;02;03;07
Stephanie
Yes. Yes. Beautiful. it's a really short read, which I appreciated, but, but each chapter was so full of wisdom and experience that I really, I took it one chapter at a time where I'd read one and really process and take that in before I'd go on to the next chapter, you know, a few days later.

01;02;03;09 - 01;02;09;23
Stephanie
It's partly because of how my brain works, but also like, there was just so much there. It's beautiful. Yeah.

01;02;09;25 - 01;02;17;06
Seth
So, Patty lost, her husband of, was it 30 years?

01;02;17;09 - 01;02;18;13
Stephanie
I don't remember.

01;02;18;16 - 01;02;37;02
Seth
Patty. Is not that all? I was going to say 40 years. But anyway, long time. Decades. Curtis, dear friend of ours and, who loved Mexican food. By the way, any time we ever went out to, like, we're going to Mexican. So a little tribute to Curtis here, in episode 21, big, big tribute in episode seven.

01;02;37;02 - 01;02;56;21
Seth
But we talked about grief and about her. well, that episode's also about, or at least the VIP section if you're not part of our VIP, by the way, make sure you get to the website the for every, shocked com splash page, their landing page. Sign up for our VIP. We share some private content. It's not pay.

01;02;56;21 - 01;03;13;27
Seth
This is free content, but we reserve it for our VIP members. So we we had a little chat with Patty in the VIP, episode where we talked about, like. Prescriptions that went bad, right? Nearly.

01;03;13;29 - 01;03;14;10
Stephanie
Yes.

01;03;14;10 - 01;03;36;06
Seth
Nearly sent her off the deep end. You know, she was dealing with grief. which I think is actually really interesting. We always that's one of our patented questions that sometimes we get to it or we don't get to it, but like, that's on the form to talk about. How do you feel about current health care system, you know, and how can women navigate that, you know, and empower themselves to make decisions.

01;03;36;06 - 01;03;39;25
Seth
And she has, just a great, a great story about that.

01;03;39;25 - 01;03;42;03
Stephanie
So, yes. And the biggest heart.

01;03;42;05 - 01;03;53;02
Seth
Absolutely. Another thing about Patty is as strong as she is and is vulnerable. She is of me, as strong as she is. She is so incredibly humble. I was.

01;03;53;02 - 01;03;55;12
Stephanie
Yeah. yes, she is.

01;03;55;14 - 01;04;06;01
Seth
I was taken back. Where? When? After we had published this episode, several episodes later. I don't remember when it was. It might have been McKenna's episode. in fact.

01;04;06;04 - 01;04;07;10
Stephanie
I think I think.

01;04;07;10 - 01;04;29;18
Seth
It was the very next episode. are we done with this? Well, maybe this is the segue. The next episode, episode eight. I think Patty sent me a message or sent us a message and said, that really helped me. Yes. You know, I mean, she is I will say she is has absolute expertise in trauma response healing from trauma.

01;04;29;21 - 01;04;49;24
Seth
And yet she said, wow, I listen to this next episode. Grief. Yes. Oh, the best quote, maybe one of the top ten quotes from this entire show. First up, 20 episodes. You remember it from her. We talked about grief and she said grief is the price we pay for love.

01;04;49;27 - 01;05;01;21
Stephanie
Yes, yes. So, episode eight was on intuition a woman's superpower. And that interview was with McKenna wooly.

01;05;01;24 - 01;05;28;22
Speaker 3
A lot of us have trauma of some kind. Right. And it doesn't matter how simple it is or how small like it is. Trauma is trauma. Like being bullied in school or, you know, these are those things that kind of get stuck with us and they stay in our bodies like any unprocessed emotion. If you've read The Body Keeps the Score, it talks about that, like how our body will literally hold that memory.

01;05;28;25 - 01;05;55;17
Stephanie
she is an intuitive artist. She is CEO of Mirror Studios. she, believes fully in holistic motherhood and trusting that inner compass that we each have, of our feminine intuition. we really went into some good topics deep dove into at home and and unassisted birth.

01;05;55;19 - 01;05;59;02
Seth
Unassisted birth. Anybody that that is a hot topic for a lot of people.

01;05;59;04 - 01;06;23;07
Stephanie
Yes. I was actually just talking to somebody about this the other day. I'm trying to remember who it was just a few days ago talking about birth. We I think we were each sharing different stories of, oh, you know what? I think it was some friends from church, we went to the splash pad with our kids together, and, the topic of birth came up because one of them, is, halfway through her pregnancy and just talking about her different experiences.

01;06;23;07 - 01;06;40;17
Stephanie
And, you know, some of them didn't know that we well, I gave birth, to our last two children at home, and one was unassisted on accident. Definitely did not plan that. Yeah, it's called telehealth.

01;06;40;24 - 01;06;41;03
Seth
These.

01;06;41;06 - 01;06;42;11
Stephanie
Oh my goodness.

01;06;42;12 - 01;06;42;29
Seth
Telehealth.

01;06;43;00 - 01;07;14;27
Stephanie
Oh my goodness. You know, even even so, I had shared with them how you know about that experience of having my first, well, it's my third biological child, but having that one, at home with no drugs or anything whatsoever, versus the other two that I had that were in the hospital with epidurals. So we were kind of going through a birthing stories, and I was telling them about that and how, you know, accidentally she, you know, our baby came.

01;07;15;00 - 01;07;19;23
Seth
Precipitous, right? Like, she was like, I'm coming. I'll see you guys in ten minutes.

01;07;19;25 - 01;07;44;22
Stephanie
It was less than ten minutes. It was nine. It was 8 or 9. 8 or 9. Yeah. From the time my water broke until she was in her arms, it was so fast. I had pajama labor, precipitous labor and fetal ejection all in one. And anyways, it was crazy. So we didn't plan on doing it unassisted. But we did plan on doing that at home, and I'm so glad we planned on doing it at home.

01;07;44;24 - 01;07;47;28
Seth
Because we wouldn't have never we would have never made it to the hospital.

01;07;47;28 - 01;07;53;11
Stephanie
Yeah, I probably would have had our baby on the sidewalk walking out to the car. Yeah. Or like really.

01;07;53;11 - 01;07;54;12
Seth
Something. Yeah.

01;07;54;16 - 01;08;20;03
Stephanie
Who knows what would have happened. But anyways, we were just talking about that and someone was like, what? What is that? And so I was talking about being unassisted and and what that technically means. And they were like, what? Oh my goodness. And I'm like, no, no, we did not plan that. Even though I've had, you know, OB GYNs and I've had midwives that are like girl, you are made to have babies because how fast my labors are.

01;08;20;05 - 01;08;35;14
Stephanie
I was like, I will never go on assisted on purpose. I personally don't think that it's safe. What if something were to happen? I would never forgive myself. Ever. And so for me, you know, I just choose to always have.

01;08;35;17 - 01;08;37;24
Seth
Well, to always have a midwife.

01;08;37;24 - 01;08;39;29
Stephanie
Except for when it's out of my control.

01;08;40;00 - 01;08;55;11
Seth
Except for when it's fast. So when they say unassisted birth, though, because we talked about that in that episode with McKenna. where we talking about unassisted, like no midwife because I thought they were we talked a lot about they go to the, you know, they have a midwife, they see the midwife, some do.

01;08;55;14 - 01;09;19;15
Stephanie
Some do that, and then they just don't call the midwife or they don't go in to the clinic. some don't even go in and get checked at all throughout their pregnancy. for me it's like, yes, you know, many years ago we didn't have all the luxuries and but at the same time, like, if you can make sure that everything's going well.

01;09;19;15 - 01;09;35;28
Stephanie
Sure. Why not? Like, well, do everything you can to make sure that it's a healthy pregnancy. You know, like I was anemic with one of our. You know, one out of four. And if I didn't go and have my blood work done, I don't know that I would have known that. Yeah.

01;09;36;00 - 01;09;58;18
Seth
Well, I think that many there's a, there's a, the like if we just cut it down the middle and are very general, you've got a small, albeit smaller group of people who are like, we really need to go back to the old ways. Yeah, right. and some of it is because, well, because there's nat nature there and they're, they're driven for the connection.

01;09;58;18 - 01;10;19;04
Seth
Right. There's also a, an either fear or a disdain for what's happening on the other side, which is, you know, women being super discard affected from the birthing process for sure. Hello. Like, if there's anything you shouldn't be disconnected from as a mother.

01;10;19;10 - 01;10;41;19
Stephanie
If it's the mothering cycle. Right. And. Well, yeah, when you have medical professionals telling you exactly what to do with your body, like, hey, I feel like I need a push. My baby's coming. And they literally come in and say, don't push. The doctor's not ready. okay. Yeah. Tell that to my body that's pushing her out.

01;10;41;19 - 01;10;42;09
Stephanie
Anyways.

01;10;42;09 - 01;11;02;19
Seth
So I think there's just. And, you know, the advancements in, you know, and I'm going to get, you know, this is not my specialty, so I'm not going to go in depth there, but but again, just kind of like a very Western side of modern Western medicine. Okay. Lie down. Here's the position you're going to be in.

01;11;02;22 - 01;11;13;17
Seth
Right. Maybe not the most, practical. And I don't want to say safe, but maybe you know what I'm saying.

01;11;13;17 - 01;11;32;22
Stephanie
Well, then, don't you think if the mother is comfortable, then, like, her body is going to intuitively tell her what's comfortable and what's right for that baby to come in the best way? Yeah. And so if you're being told, oh, well, you have to lay on your back, you have to, you know, have your legs up like this.

01;11;32;24 - 01;11;51;17
Stephanie
I mean, because there are different positions. You can have your legs or your body to help the baby come out easier. Right. And so if you're constantly being told exactly what to do, how are you supposed to tap into that intuition from the get go of, well, my body? I feel like I'm supposed to do this to make it better.

01;11;51;18 - 01;11;54;06
Stephanie
Yeah. Right. Yeah.

01;11;54;08 - 01;12;18;11
Seth
So I was I was I want to say proud of you, but, you know, super. I don't know if it came off this way. but but I was happy to do home births. Right. you were taking charge and making decisions not based on fear, too, which I think is so. Or or. Well, that's what the experts tell me.

01;12;18;13 - 01;12;38;11
Seth
Right. And we again, we talked about this on the show. You got to advocate. In fact, I literally just had a message from a good friend of ours, right, whose husband just had some serious health issues. And, he's he's doing all right now, but it it could, it could have been very different. And, and she said I think she's 80, by the way.

01;12;38;15 - 01;12;58;08
Seth
But she said you and so she has a PA as a, like one of the children's PA and others, a nurse. And so they were, you know, reaching out to them. And they were they were validating the concerns of the, the patient and the wife saying, yeah, he should probably not have another dose of this drug because of how we reacted.

01;12;58;11 - 01;13;20;04
Seth
But the message from, you know, the hospital at that time or the doctor or the nurses was, well, he needs this. And like you, you even if you're under care, it's still your body and you have choices. You have to advocate for yourself. And and it was nice to have those family members who are in the medical profession saying, you have to advocate for yourself.

01;13;20;04 - 01;13;53;14
Seth
You don't just put it on cruise control. So when you wanted to have home births, although I, you know, I'd never had that experience. I'll tell you, that's one of the I if I laid down in my grave today, those were absolutely in the top, top, top tears of amazing and beautiful experiences in my life. And I, I feel blessed to have been in the bathtub right.

01;13;53;16 - 01;13;58;04
Seth
Water birth folks. Like, did you know you can do that? Like.

01;13;58;06 - 01;13;58;17
Stephanie
Not in the.

01;13;58;17 - 01;14;04;28
Seth
Hospital? No, no, not in the hospital galleries, but the babies in fluid.

01;14;05;01 - 01;14;05;09
Stephanie
Yeah.

01;14;05;09 - 01;14;29;25
Seth
So you're going to deliver from one fluid to the next and they're going to get their first swimming lessons. Right. but but to be there in the whole, you know, that baby of ours with that, there it is. It is so impactful. And then to deliver that baby into your arms. I didn't say I delivered the baby.

01;14;29;28 - 01;14;33;01
Seth
but to deliver that baby into your arms, to hold.

01;14;33;01 - 01;14;35;19
Stephanie
Her,

01;14;35;21 - 01;15;07;09
Seth
Words cannot express the fulfillment. As a father in my life, that is absolutely one of the top, top, top, top experiences. Twice. to to do that. So, yeah, they're there. I love I love this whole, you know, and you don't have to do that, but I think it's great to have the dialog. And I think it's awesome that you can have this conversation with women because, again, what we're kind of in this conveyor belt society.

01;15;07;12 - 01;15;08;03
Stephanie
not kind of.

01;15;08;03 - 01;15;14;21
Seth
We are in a conveyor belt society. Hey, your kids are six years old. Get them off to school.

01;15;14;23 - 01;15;15;06
Stephanie
Well.

01;15;15;08 - 01;15;19;06
Seth
If that's what you want to do. Okay. But just think about it.

01;15;19;11 - 01;15;20;07
Stephanie
You have choice.

01;15;20;07 - 01;15;39;23
Seth
You have choice. There are public schools. There are charter schools. There are private schools. There are Montessori schools. I've been a little you know, I haven't told you about you know, there there's of course homeschooling and there's like 10,000 different ways to do that. Yeah, there's private education, you know, private tutoring. you know, there's experience to that.

01;15;39;24 - 01;15;56;20
Seth
Just let's just just think about what you want to do. and don't judge maybe things that you're not super used to, like at home birth, right? Or whatever, until you maybe get some experience and, frankly, go talk with people who are in that genre.

01;15;56;23 - 01;15;57;12
Stephanie

01;15;57;14 - 01;16;03;12
Seth
You know, you know, not not people who have judging that, not the critics who talk to people who are really in there, you know.

01;16;03;14 - 01;16;26;20
Stephanie
Yeah. Anyway. Yeah, one, one book that really helped me with home birth was, you know, May Gaskin Turner, remember what it's called, though? Anyways, if you look her name up, you know how it'll come up. She's, pioneer for midwifery here in the United States. And I just learned so much in that book. And very passionate about this topic.

01;16;26;22 - 01;16;37;04
Seth
Absolutely. I love, I love, McKenna's McKenna's little quip to you when you were at an art class of hers.

01;16;37;09 - 01;16;38;17
Stephanie

01;16;39;07 - 01;16;43;08
Seth
as an intuitive artist and you were struggling with the art and what did she say?

01;16;43;10 - 01;16;46;13
Stephanie
Who taught you to stay inside the lines?

01;16;46;15 - 01;16;49;26
Seth
Who taught you that you had this, that you had to paint within the lines or stay within the line. What was.

01;16;50;01 - 01;16;50;27
Stephanie
That. Something like that.

01;16;50;27 - 01;16;59;20
Seth
Yeah. And you're like, oh yeah. This is exactly what you just talked about for the last ten minutes. So we're talking about it with other things.

01;16;59;20 - 01;17;20;04
Stephanie
Yeah. More in detail. Yeah. Yeah, yeah. That that was very impactful. In fact, you know, one of the most recent episodes that we did that even came back to me, and I was like, oh, that's right. I just need to let go. That was the next thing she said was let go. Just let it go. Like, do what you're, you know, intuitively feeling.

01;17;20;04 - 01;17;30;12
Stephanie
Yeah. And it was so uncomfortable for me that night to do that art. but definitely a learning experience.

01;17;30;15 - 01;17;32;02
Seth
Well blossom.

01;17;32;04 - 01;17;32;14
Stephanie
Yes.

01;17;32;16 - 01;17;38;08
Seth
Blossoming episode ten self-compassion for the soul.

01;17;38;10 - 01;17;41;28
Stephanie
With do we skip over nine.

01;17;42;01 - 01;17;48;05
Seth
Episode nine.

01;17;48;08 - 01;18;12;22
Seth
we did it. So we did another solo episode, right? Every few episodes we may be thrown in solos. and so we talked about movement. you know, obviously we talk about outside of your spiritual foundation, self-care, the three big areas that that we're that we're approaching on the show is, of course, self-care for the mind, self-care for the body, self-care for your money.

01;18;12;22 - 01;18;19;20
Seth
And that's a lot. I mean, that's a lot to chew off. We could we could do one tenth of one of those and just get super, super, specialized.

01;18;19;23 - 01;18;42;21
Stephanie
I was really taken back and also inspired by the women that were in that class at that time. I mean, that was over ten years ago. At that time, there were so many of those women that were older than me, and they were in incredible shape, and they were doing it, you know, perfectly in this, this pretty at the time, it was pretty hard for me, yoga class.

01;18;42;22 - 01;18;56;06
Stephanie
It was hot yoga. It was it was really hot. There is, you know, the air was thick and you're just dripping sweat. And here they are just rocking it. And I'm like, oh my goodness, I gotta keep up with this because I want to be like them when I'm their age.

01;18;56;08 - 01;19;03;23
Seth
But this episode we talked about movement. So we're talking about health. We're talking about the body. Things that we're doing. in self-care for the body. We talked a lot about.

01;19;03;23 - 01;19;21;22
Stephanie
Yes, a lot about yoga, scientific studies, validating the practice of yoga, breathing, meditation, talking about lean muscle mass, sarcopenia and resistance training.

01;19;21;24 - 01;19;29;29
Seth
I was just kind of in the middle, somewhere in the middle of my hundred days of yoga at the time.

01;19;30;01 - 01;19;30;25
Stephanie

01;19;30;28 - 01;19;32;13
Seth
I've completed it.

01;19;32;15 - 01;19;34;05
Stephanie
Yeah, yeah.

01;19;34;07 - 01;19;37;03
Seth
We're back to the kids show.

01;19;37;05 - 01;19;39;04
Stephanie
I do it, it's funny. Oh, it's.

01;19;39;07 - 01;20;02;13
Seth
As you said, we talked about sarcopenia, which is, muscle loss as you progress in age. And that this episode, by the way, if you're a woman over 30, you need to listen to this episode. Your health is. Absolutely. This is critical information, mission critical. but speaking of movement in the next hundred days, what are we going to do?

01;20;02;15 - 01;20;09;17
Stephanie
Well, we talked about a few things. dancing. I mean, I don't know what that would look like, but.

01;20;09;19 - 01;20;10;20
Seth
I know what it would look like.

01;20;10;20 - 01;20;12;26
Stephanie
Oh my goodness.

01;20;12;28 - 01;20;18;10
Seth
I'm going to say, are you going to be Puerto Rico? Are you going to be Tahiti?

01;20;18;13 - 01;20;23;09
Stephanie
Well, if we're broadcasting it every day,

01;20;23;12 - 01;20;25;17
Seth
Hey, that's where we get vulnerable.

01;20;25;22 - 01;20;32;23
Stephanie
I'm going to be hibernating. you know.

01;20;32;25 - 01;20;48;21
Seth
But we should start a new 100 day. Yeah, I, I actually really do like your idea of. Because I was thinking, what am I going to do? I thought about doing some business related, because, you know, we're super in an expansion of our business right now. I thought of doing my gratitude journal.

01;20;48;23 - 01;20;49;24
Stephanie
Now, that's really good.

01;20;49;24 - 01;20;56;16
Seth
But then you and then you said, oh, what about dancing? And I think of all the ideas I've had so far, that is my favorite.

01;20;56;18 - 01;21;12;15
Stephanie
Could be fun. Yeah, yeah. another thing could be. Well, I don't know that we would broadcast this well, but that. Didn't you send me a reel or something about, couple that every day I would check in.

01;21;12;15 - 01;21;14;14
Seth
Oh, yeah. Check in the morning.

01;21;14;14 - 01;21;17;25
Stephanie
Check in? Yeah.

01;21;17;28 - 01;21;21;08
Seth
That would be super vulnerable if we were to. If we were to,

01;21;21;10 - 01;21;23;00
Stephanie
Yeah, I don't know. We'd have to think about that. I'll have to.

01;21;23;00 - 01;21;26;25
Seth
Think about that. But then again, who knows? It could, it could it could be helpful.

01;21;26;27 - 01;21;28;27
Stephanie
I don't remember what the questions are now.

01;21;28;29 - 01;21;43;01
Seth
So I saw this I saw this couple and they said, this is what we've been doing. I don't know how long they've been doing it for a long, long time. Every morning they share, three things that they're grateful for. The exchange. Right. Takes me, takes them about ten minutes.

01;21;43;01 - 01;21;45;25
Stephanie
They said. Yeah. And they said that you can repeat.

01;21;45;27 - 01;21;52;13
Seth
Yeah, you can repeat things. three things you're grateful for. Three things you're excited about.

01;21;52;15 - 01;21;53;11
Stephanie

01;21;53;14 - 01;21;56;27
Seth
And three things that you're manifesting.

01;21;56;29 - 01;22;13;28
Stephanie
okay, maybe I could. Yeah, maybe. All right, let's think about that one. If you guys have any suggestions on something that we could do for 100 days, we'd love to hear them. And, yeah. Throw it in the pot.

01;22;14;00 - 01;22;35;28
Seth
Yeah. What are you doing for 100 days, anyway? I, you know, I had, at least one. I had a number of people, actually, who reached out and said, I'm doing yoga now. Thank you and Stephanie for making this easy for me. So, honestly, if we were to do the daily check in because we're speaking with because we're talking about things from our heart like that, that would be a lot more vulnerable.

01;22;35;28 - 01;22;53;10
Seth
But when you show vulnerability and you show a path for people, you know, I had other I have other people who, another individual who's I believe in Thailand saying, hey, thank you for for manifesting this. This is what I'm doing to do my other day. So let us know what you're doing for your hundred day. Go.

01;22;53;12 - 01;22;57;28
Stephanie
Beautiful. All right. So, episode ten.

01;22;58;01 - 01;23;07;17
Seth
By the way, we're in an hour and a half right now, and with ten episodes, I don't I don't think we can do two. I think we have to.

01;23;07;20 - 01;23;28;06
Stephanie
man. So. It's so funny. I'm finding some of these that, like, we've done one before, and then we go to the next one and just kind of how some, some of them connect, Yeah. So interesting. And so, with episode ten, that was with Brittany Crane. get out there, girl.

01;23;28;10 - 01;23;31;07
Seth
Or as I called her, get out girl.

01;23;31;09 - 01;23;52;27
Speaker 3
I wrote a workbook a couple of years ago about self-compassion. And as I've sold, you know, hundreds of copies, I've, I've heard the feedback from women and how life changing it is. And so I wanted to get it in the hands of more women. And so recently I made video. So I turned it into an online course instead of just a workbook.

01;23;52;29 - 01;24;19;12
Stephanie
And hers was on self-compassion for the soul. we talked about some of her retreats that she does, her next retreats coming up in July where, she'll be hiking the Tetons backpacking trip looks absolutely incredible. and then the one that she had just gone on when we did that episode with her was the dog sledding retreat in Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

01;24;19;14 - 01;24;36;02
Stephanie
And afterwards, well, actually, on there, Seth was like, hey, if, Stephanie doesn't go with you on your next one, if you're not doing it again, then I'm going to take her. And I was like, dang it, our ten year anniversary is coming up. And I was thinking, man, that would be really fun to do for our ten year.

01;24;36;02 - 01;24;44;02
Stephanie
But I don't know now that that cat's out of the bag. Maybe I'll I'll plan something else.

01;24;44;05 - 01;24;47;16
Seth
That's called bait and switch. By the way, I have rights.

01;24;47;18 - 01;24;51;17
Stephanie
What? Whatever.

01;24;51;19 - 01;24;56;05
Seth
But come here, come here, little puppy. No, that would be an amazing trip.

01;24;56;10 - 01;24;56;29
Stephanie
Yes, but that.

01;24;57;02 - 01;25;00;08
Seth
But she said the best time she's done. That was in March, by the way, too.

01;25;00;11 - 01;25;01;20
Stephanie
I did think about that.

01;25;01;20 - 01;25;04;05
Seth
So let's just do our ten year and then let's just.

01;25;04;05 - 01;25;06;29
Stephanie
Do that as well, okay?

01;25;07;01 - 01;25;09;11
Seth
If she doesn't, we need to do it. If she does, if you don't go with.

01;25;09;11 - 01;25;14;07
Stephanie
The girls or how about I go with the girls and with you.

01;25;14;10 - 01;25;28;12
Seth
Done, let's do it. So she talks a lot about, competitiveness because she's competitive. also suicidal ideation. We we jump into that in that episode. and then we spent a lot of time talking about.

01;25;28;19 - 01;25;29;21
Stephanie
Self-compassion.

01;25;29;21 - 01;25;35;00
Seth
Self-compassion, and her, Brittany has a self-compassion workbook.

01;25;35;01 - 01;25;56;21
Stephanie
Yes. It is absolutely incredible. in fact, she just upgraded it to where she, when you sign up for it, you even get to do, like, a group, check in about it and discussion. And also she has some videos that she personally made. So it feels like you're going on this journey with her. And I absolutely love that.

01;25;56;23 - 01;25;58;12
Stephanie
Absolutely love that.

01;25;58;15 - 01;26;20;09
Seth
I think that's super critical. And I think, I mean, like that's a brilliant move on Brittany's part as well. because the whole purpose is not to put the to put the product out there or not to sell the product. It's not to write the book writer to write the workbook. The purpose is to have people affect change in their lives.

01;26;20;11 - 01;26;38;04
Seth
And the reality is that most coaching courses, only people who purchase like coaching courses or, you know, a course to accomplish something they only maybe 5%, roughly 5% of people actually finish the courses.

01;26;38;09 - 01;26;39;02
Stephanie
Wow.

01;26;39;04 - 01;26;59;06
Seth
So by adding every everything that that you can do to make it easier to grease the wheels, you know, grease the tracks to make it easier for people instead of just having a workbook. Okay, we sold it. Okay. Now we've got the workbook with the accompanying videos. Now it's more of a you know, it's more of a guided coaching thing.

01;26;59;08 - 01;27;11;09
Seth
Oh, now we've got a cohort, right? We've got a group. You've got a community. Right? We know that in 68, women are 68% more likely to accomplish their goals when they have community.

01;27;11;12 - 01;27;15;25
Stephanie
Yes, definitely. I definitely fall under that. Yeah.

01;27;15;28 - 01;27;37;13
Seth
It's huge huge huge huge. So, awesome awesome episode with Brittany. Get out girl. Get kid out there, girl, by the way. And if you want if you want Brittany's, workbook, just go to the go to the for every young Procom go to episode ten and you can find her contact information, find her and, and get that program.

01;27;37;17 - 01;27;39;18
Stephanie

01;27;39;21 - 01;27;40;18
Seth
All right. Episode 11.

01;27;40;24 - 01;27;41;03
Stephanie
Yeah.

01;27;41;05 - 01;27;45;14
Seth
All right. Deep conversations with Darlene.

01;27;45;14 - 01;27;46;00
Stephanie
Peters.

01;27;46;06 - 01;28;08;11
Speaker 3
By Health and Wellness. Also ties into my financial wellness. So in other words, how can I provide for my family. How can I leave a legacy? How can I secure my future? Because of course, I don't plan on working forever. So my health and wellness has certainly been a priority. And then, since becoming certified in the last few years, I've just been more committed and more passionate about helping others.

01;28;08;11 - 01;28;10;23
Speaker 3
And particularly those in the legal profession.

01;28;10;23 - 01;28;12;22
Stephanie
Because it's such an unhealthy profession.

01;28;12;29 - 01;28;24;04
Seth
This was an interesting episode. Darlene is in, in Louis in Louisiana, in New Orleans. And, she's an attorney.

01;28;24;07 - 01;28;24;23
Stephanie
Yes.

01;28;24;25 - 01;28;31;09
Seth
Practicing law. And she's also a double certified health and nutrition coach.

01;28;31;16 - 01;28;31;28
Stephanie
Yes.

01;28;32;00 - 01;28;50;23
Seth
So she's kind of like law by day and, and coaching by night. Except she also is kind of the resident expert in in that section of the country. Yes. from a legal, health promotion for lawyers for attorneys. Right.

01;28;50;23 - 01;29;06;21
Stephanie
So, yes. Yeah. It really opened my eyes to how those actually can come together and, benefit my kids. I never thought of it that way. Even growing up with a father who was an attorney. now we have a son who's an attorney.

01;29;06;21 - 01;29;09;20
Seth
Working crazy hours, you know?

01;29;09;23 - 01;29;22;09
Stephanie
But it totally made sense when we sat down and talked to Darlene, and, really got into the nitty gritty of it and what she does and how it helps and how it's benefited. And it's it's really great.

01;29;22;10 - 01;29;23;11
Seth
Yeah, absolutely.

01;29;23;12 - 01;29;25;14
Stephanie
Definitely needed.

01;29;25;17 - 01;29;59;00
Seth
She's also, the founder or co-founder of a podcast. and, and is super, interested in, in bringing messages and equality and health equality. to of course, everybody. But she specifically runs in, in working with women of color. Right. So powerful. Powerful, episode with Darlene. So d so Darlene Peters d is actually our friend.

01;29;59;00 - 01;30;03;15
Seth
Scholar. So, you know, if you call her D than your friend.

01;30;03;18 - 01;30;04;08
Stephanie
deep.

01;30;04;10 - 01;30;15;16
Seth
Deep, deep, deep conversations, deep wellness. New Orleans is her is her, is her company's name. So, yeah. super appreciate D.

01;30;15;18 - 01;30;25;15
Stephanie
Yes. So with episode 12, we talked about living a fearless life with the real Erin Brockovich.

01;30;25;17 - 01;30;50;16
Speaker 3
And these are instincts. These are intuitions. And oftentimes we move away from them. Yes, but I'm telling you, listen, science has got our back on this one. Your gut is your second brain. we're learning more and more about that. So we move away from these moments, these instincts in our gut that something's wrong. And when you when that hits you, that's where you step.

01;30;50;16 - 01;30;55;28
Speaker 3
And you wait a second and turn right back into this internal conversation.

01;30;56;02 - 01;31;24;14
Stephanie
That was absolutely a treat to be able to spend some time with Erin Brockovich and, yeah, I just keep thinking about, watching the movie and how it portrayed her in high heels and not just high heels and stilettos. Stilettos and, man, I was just itching to ask her that question. Like, did they portray that right?

01;31;24;14 - 01;31;30;21
Stephanie
Did you do all that they showed you doing in the movie? Did you really do that in real life?

01;31;30;22 - 01;31;34;08
Seth
Were you looking for two headed frogs? You know, in stilettos and.

01;31;34;08 - 01;32;08;21
Stephanie
Stilettos? Where are you running from? Security in stilettos, out in the fields. you'll have to watch it to see what she says, but, yeah, yeah. Wow. her story of resilience and empowerment and her relentless list, her relentless pursuit of truth and justice was absolutely incredible. I really got a lot from from that interview with her.

01;32;08;24 - 01;32;15;06
Seth
I was reading something recently online, and somebody, a friend of mine actually posted.

01;32;15;08 - 01;32;16;07
Stephanie

01;32;16;09 - 01;32;26;09
Seth
A, an invitation for people to say, who's somebody famous that you had met, who's, you know, who are the most famous person you met and what were they like really?

01;32;26;12 - 01;32;26;21
Stephanie

01;32;26;25 - 01;32;42;06
Seth
Right. And I was reading through a few of these and it was interesting. Oh so-and-so total jerk. You know so-and-so rude. So you know and you know it was oh awesome awesome person Erin Brockovich.

01;32;42;09 - 01;33;07;13
Stephanie
absolutely incredible. Like I was a little nervous because I didn't really know what to expect in this exchange. And, you know, she's kind of a big deal, big star. And, you know, this is already something that's very vulnerable for me to be doing. And then, you know, coming and meeting her. And I totally forgot where I was going.

01;33;07;13 - 01;33;11;05
Stephanie
Oh, she.

01;33;11;07 - 01;33;11;20
Seth
Might as well.

01;33;11;25 - 01;33;37;21
Stephanie
Yawning. She, kind of wish I was, She really made me feel super comfortable. Like we were just sitting down to have a chat with a good friend and being able to talk to her about her life story and the impact that she was able to make and the humility that she showed, you know, in her work and, and the impact and, and saying, well, it wasn't me.

01;33;37;27 - 01;33;39;15
Seth
How many, how many lines did you say?

01;33;39;18 - 01;33;51;28
Stephanie
Yes. Yeah. Yes. Her humility and her beauty. yeah. Just really feeling like I was just sitting down with a good friend and, you know, having these beautiful, deep conversations.

01;33;51;28 - 01;33;58;02
Seth
It was easy conversation, easy and flowing. And just like, back, back porch conversation.

01;33;58;02 - 01;33;59;16
Stephanie
Yeah. You know.

01;33;59;19 - 01;34;13;14
Seth
And you talk about how humble she was, which is so interesting because she is fierce. Like you. You got the idea, though.

01;34;13;14 - 01;34;14;07
Stephanie
Like.

01;34;14;09 - 01;34;15;07
Seth
We're friends.

01;34;15;08 - 01;34;15;22
Stephanie
Oh, yeah.

01;34;15;23 - 01;34;26;00
Seth
But if you weren't friends. If you were if, you idiot. If you were the idiot attorney. See the movie, right? you know, across across.

01;34;26;03 - 01;34;26;07
Stephanie
The.

01;34;26;07 - 01;34;28;26
Seth
Table from her, like heaven help.

01;34;28;26 - 01;34;33;08
Stephanie
You? Yes. Like she, she's a firecracker.

01;34;33;15 - 01;34;38;00
Seth
She wasn't so full of herself and into herself. She was very humble and approachable. She's.

01;34;38;02 - 01;34;43;24
Stephanie
She's very confident. Yeah. Very confident. but but humble.

01;34;43;25 - 01;34;57;27
Seth
Born of experience and and just like she got the goods like she was in that episode, a couple of things that really came to me were I loved how she talked about her, her dad, and how, you know, the expectations he set.

01;34;58;04 - 01;35;11;18
Stephanie
I can tell, because you've been trying to use it on our six year old. Oh my goodness.

01;35;11;20 - 01;35;15;07
Seth
I have not been trying. I've been doing.

01;35;15;09 - 01;35;43;00
Stephanie
And how has that been working? I think it works out great, I love it, okay, I, I feel like, What what you're trying to do is fabulous. Sometimes I think maybe, customer it the child because. Because when you were using some of the same verbiage that her father used for her, I don't know how old she was, but I get the feeling a little older than six.

01;35;43;03 - 01;35;49;09
Stephanie
or six year old was like, but I don't understand.

01;35;49;11 - 01;36;02;10
Seth
Let me know how that works out for you. You got to go check out that part of the episode. It's brilliant parenting. It really is. Even if it's misapplied. Timing is everything.

01;36;02;13 - 01;36;02;19
Stephanie
Is.

01;36;02;19 - 01;36;03;18
Seth
So I love.

01;36;03;18 - 01;36;05;06
Stephanie
The free delivery.

01;36;05;08 - 01;36;33;24
Seth
I love that, her are talking about the allegory of, of the Wizard of Oz. Go check that out. That that's worth studying our societal trends. What's happening politically at go go research that I'll say, I think my number one takeaway, which is so hard and. Yeah, but where I was touched the most was how tender she got a couple of times.

01;36;33;26 - 01;36;34;08
Stephanie
Yeah.

01;36;34;12 - 01;36;36;06
Seth
When we talked about the people in Hinkley.

01;36;36;09 - 01;36;36;29
Stephanie

01;36;37;01 - 01;36;42;27
Seth
But I think when I first recognized it, when she talked about Ed, write about her attorney.

01;36;42;29 - 01;36;43;09
Stephanie
Yes.

01;36;43;13 - 01;36;57;08
Seth
A friend who's since passed and I was I was with him when he passed, and that was she said I was holding his hand. I think it's one, if I remember correctly. But just how she's a fierce fighter. She's Joan of Arc.

01;36;57;15 - 01;36;58;21
Stephanie

01;36;58;23 - 01;37;05;12
Seth
But she, did you just burp into the.

01;37;05;15 - 01;37;12;26
Stephanie
Just like my yarns. I was trying to hide it. Oh goodness me.

01;37;12;28 - 01;37;13;12
Seth
boy.

01;37;13;18 - 01;37;15;20
Stephanie
Sorry. No that's like such a tender.

01;37;15;21 - 01;37;34;06
Seth
Yeah. Yeah that's great that but just how, how tender she really was. And like, she has such a compassionate heart, really. And I just think that's that's interesting thing to think about as a woman. Right?

01;37;34;09 - 01;37;34;26
Stephanie
Yeah.

01;37;34;29 - 01;37;50;23
Seth
To be fierce, to accomplish something, whatever you're wanting to, you know, to accomplish. And, and at the same time is having that huge, compassionate, heart, you know, that that that is that is absolutely woman had.

01;37;50;25 - 01;38;14;25
Stephanie
Well, I don't know if you remember, but, you know, talking to me about being fierce or being, straightforward and also, you know, like, I, I don't know, having this deep, passion for whatever I'm talking about. and then at the same time, having, you know, deep compassion in my heart.

01;38;15;02 - 01;38;15;16
Seth
Yeah.

01;38;15;16 - 01;38;16;25
Stephanie
That's you. Yeah.

01;38;16;27 - 01;38;17;28
Seth
You and Erin Brockovich.

01;38;17;29 - 01;38;20;08
Stephanie
Yeah, baby.

01;38;20;10 - 01;38;21;16
Seth
Great episode. Loved it.

01;38;21;19 - 01;38;24;16
Stephanie
Yes.

01;38;24;19 - 01;38;32;00
Seth
so, episode 13, A return to love with our good friend Lord is us. Yes. We say, Lou.

01;38;32;02 - 01;38;32;21
Stephanie
My.

01;38;32;21 - 01;38;35;10
Speaker 3
Real relationship with money.

01;38;35;12 - 01;38;36;10
Stephanie
it's it's.

01;38;36;10 - 01;38;56;24
Speaker 3
It's very it's very healthy now. But it was easy. I had to go through many attempts to, you know, be wealthy or no longer have stress because to me was like financial stress. And I believe that there's a lot of people in the world that are suffering from financial stress.

01;38;56;27 - 01;39;18;21
Seth
She is a little like business phenom, transformational teacher. She was, recognized in the state of Arizona here in the U.S. at 34, as one of the most successful business women in, in Arizona. she has an incredible business acumen. She again, there's a woman with compassion and a woman who's passionate about getting things done.

01;39;18;24 - 01;39;19;18
Stephanie
And fierce.

01;39;19;18 - 01;39;20;00
Seth
She is.

01;39;20;00 - 01;39;45;00
Stephanie
Fierce. She is fierce. Yep. And, one of the big things that I remember, you know, I love talking about hearts and hands and, what our organization is doing over in Africa. And whenever I get the chance, especially when it comes up, like, you know, her talking about her vision board and how she happened to have an African elephant on there.

01;39;45;03 - 01;39;51;13
Stephanie
And I'm like, so, when you coming to Africa with us? I thought that was really cool.

01;39;51;15 - 01;40;09;08
Seth
And how she said, wow, okay, there it is. I didn't know how. You know, I wrote this in January, by the way, if you want to see what her vision board looks like, go check out the episode. Right. She she literally just takes it on camera. But I put this on there, and here we are. And here we are.

01;40;09;08 - 01;40;21;24
Seth
Three months later in April, I think it was recording this and then we're going to be there. I think we said at the time, October, but we're right now planning September, right end of September into the 1st of October. Yeah.

01;40;21;26 - 01;40;33;22
Stephanie
Yep. All right. Episode 14 Persistence over Perfection. That interview was with American Ninja Warrior.

01;40;33;28 - 01;40;36;24
Seth
Women's champion 2024.

01;40;36;26 - 01;40;38;15
Stephanie
Adi Herman.

01;40;38;18 - 01;40;59;22
Speaker 3
And I was sitting by myself journaling and it just hit me. Someone DM'd me on Instagram saying, my daughter looks up to you and it hit me. And I was like, this is so much more than competing. Like, this is so much more than me trying to hit a buzzer or me not failing an obstacle like, a role model for these younger girls looking up to me.

01;40;59;22 - 01;41;16;09
Speaker 3
And I was once that same young girl, like I was once watching the show, watching my favorite women on the show, looking up to them, and it hit me. And I remember I wrote down a prayer in my journal, and it was crazy looking back at it because I said, God, please help me to make you my number one identity.

01;41;16;12 - 01;41;32;05
Speaker 3
Help me to make you my priority and win or lose on this race. Just help me to be a light for you. And I ended up winning that race, and I found the prayer in my notes on my phone. Like five months later. And I was like, this is crazy. Because that's when my mindset really shifted for the first time.

01;41;32;05 - 01;41;39;27
Speaker 3
And that's kind of the mindset that I've tried to carry with me through the rest of my competing. So that was like the first moment for me in Ninja, where everything kind of shifted.

01;41;39;29 - 01;41;56;19
Stephanie
Talk about wisdom. Like well beyond her years. She's 18 years old, professional athlete, and she's an entrepreneur who's based in Pembroke, Massachusetts. Holy cow.

01;41;56;21 - 01;42;25;02
Seth
And at the time we recorded this, the show, the competition had already concluded, right? The season was over. They'd recorded it, they were editing it. And I think we met with her. What was it? five days, 5 or 6 days before the show, before NBC aired the actual women's championship. Right. So she already knew the outcome, but she couldn't say.

01;42;25;04 - 01;42;25;21
Stephanie
We kind of.

01;42;25;21 - 01;42;36;28
Seth
Had any inkling from things she'd said. Well, I can't really say, but I'm probably going to get a lot of publicity. Right? And, and probably get a thing then watch the episode and then we, then we watched it.

01;42;37;00 - 01;42;38;01
Stephanie

01;42;38;04 - 01;42;42;19
Seth
Actually. This is the uncut version.

01;42;42;21 - 01;43;06;17
Stephanie
Oh, it was so good. And it was amazing to watch our little girls and how they, you know, they watched her and we all cheered her on, and then they started acting like her, like going up on the couch and, you know, running and jumping off the couch onto the big beanstalk and saying, I'm Adi Herman, I'm strong.

01;43;06;19 - 01;43;11;02
Stephanie
You know, I just oh my goodness, it I don't know if you saw that brought a little tear to my eyes.

01;43;11;02 - 01;43;11;19
Seth
I didn't see.

01;43;11;19 - 01;43;37;04
Stephanie
That. And I was so proud. Just, you know, Adi is such a faith filled young woman. and like I said, well beyond her years and just really relying on God and growing and learning and inspiring so many other young girls and women, at such a young age is just absolutely incredible.

01;43;37;06 - 01;43;48;15
Seth
Well, I think the girls said outright too, they wanted to do Ninja, right? Wasn't that like, let's let's go do a ninja course right at, you know, one of our local gyms? Yeah, you know, and whatnot.

01;43;48;15 - 01;43;50;10
Stephanie
And they did.

01;43;50;13 - 01;44;14;17
Seth
Yeah. Whenever we see when I see something on Instagram with Adi. Oh daddy. Right. Or. Oh yeah. I just loved having Adi on on the phone. We've continued to talk to her, you know, and, you've reached out to her. I've reached out and and excited. She's healing. I saw her compete actually, just recently now. So she went in, finished stage one of a competition.

01;44;14;20 - 01;44;20;19
Stephanie
Oh, good. So that makes me so happy. So happy for her.

01;44;20;22 - 01;44;23;12
Seth
Well, we did say she's wise beyond her years.

01;44;23;12 - 01;44;24;03
Stephanie
Yes.

01;44;24;03 - 01;44;54;16
Seth
And, so much like, if you're a competitor, if you're a competitor, and, or you've ever wrapped your, you've ever invested so much into one thing. ninja or how about this business or how about this, a particular hobby where you're excelling? Or how about this mothers into their families? Or how about this a relationship, right? Any of.

01;44;54;16 - 01;44;59;06
Stephanie
Those things? So, you know, if you're breathing.

01;44;59;08 - 01;45;18;05
Seth
If you're breathing, you're doing things at a high level, right? and it goes wrong, something goes wrong. What do you do next? That answer is in that episode with Addie. And that was that was powerful.

01;45;18;07 - 01;45;29;15
Stephanie
so it was episode, episode 15 picture something better creating a bucket list life. I just love that.

01;45;29;22 - 01;45;30;02
Seth
As.

01;45;30;08 - 01;45;38;08
Stephanie
So Good has. Yes. So that interview was with self-care strategist and entrepreneur Marilyn Lawrence.

01;45;38;11 - 01;45;54;16
Speaker 3
I did give them a big one though. I told them I wasn't going to marry him unless he took me to YouTube the concert. YouTube music, right? And I love you too. And he looked at me and said, I have YouTube on my phone.

01;45;54;19 - 01;45;56;12
Seth
He said YouTube.

01;45;56;15 - 01;45;58;04
Speaker 3
He'd never heard of YouTube.

01;45;58;07 - 01;46;00;04
Stephanie
Oh my goodness. So he had.

01;46;00;04 - 01;46;28;02
Speaker 3
No idea what I was talking about. And the only reason I said it was because I wanted to be in a relationship where something I cared about that meant nothing to him still mattered. And because I know that I'm a I'm a pleaser, right? And I know that I have those tendencies, and I wanted to have a relationship where it was mutual and that we and, and that we were both looking for the needs of the other one to be fulfilled.

01;46;28;04 - 01;46;56;13
Seth
So she runs you can self-care dot com. I'm just going to spit it out right here at the beginning. and we actually, oh, you know, I give credit where credit is due. Part of our focus, as we'd already decided, we're moving forward with the podcast and women are our audience anyway. We work with women all around the world who, you know, want to get healthy, who you know, want to take care of their finances, become entrepreneurs.

01;46;56;16 - 01;47;30;23
Seth
We are moving forward with the podcast. And she she was working simultaneously on the self-care genre, you know, for women primarily. And and how there was such a need, honestly, she said, there's such a need. There's no really one hub, you know, online. So, I'm going to create that right? Yeah. And, and so I really credit her with kind of spurring us on into saying maybe, maybe the, the focus for this women's podcast should be self-care.

01;47;30;25 - 01;47;31;15
Stephanie

01;47;31;18 - 01;47;35;17
Seth
And, I'm so glad that we did. Yeah. Thank you. Marilyn.

01;47;35;22 - 01;47;49;27
Stephanie
Very inspired. I really loved how she talked about, going on or or throwing out there the trip to Mexico.

01;47;49;29 - 01;47;51;13
Seth
Oh, with Doctor Joe Dispenza.

01;47;51;13 - 01;47;57;11
Stephanie
Yes. And just how transformative that is.

01;47;57;14 - 01;48;09;19
Seth
We keep on talking. And that was with her husband. Larry. Right. And, recurring theme on the Forever Young show, divorce, single parenthood.

01;48;09;21 - 01;48;10;21
Stephanie
Yes.

01;48;10;23 - 01;48;34;05
Seth
struggles. Triumph. Imposter syndrome. Making things work, right. The story of splitting the story of her and her friend co purchasing a roast at the grocery store because they couldn't afford it separately, and then splitting it in the parking lot because it was actually they thought it was two roast, but it was really one roast. And there's tearing it apart in the in the parking lot.

01;48;34;05 - 01;48;56;12
Seth
But we we talked about relationships again, kind of re redefining yourself and finding how to create those healthy relationships and, and how she and Larry have, have worked that out, you know, and I mean she just she's 60 right. So she did that at roughly 50 because I think they've been married almost ten years. Right. So yeah.

01;48;56;13 - 01;49;23;09
Seth
Awesome, awesome episode. you should check her out. You can self-care dot com. She's got a bunch of great stuff in there. Honestly. How to prioritize and organize your self-care so you get the most bang for your buck? Because that is Marilyn, right? That is Marilyn. you know, she give it to her in distilled CliffsNotes. Give me what I need to do.

01;49;23;11 - 01;49;41;10
Seth
Just let let let's get to the point. Kind of a kind of a get things done woman. how busy women can get started with self-care. and I love this one. We talked a little about this. The shocking dream she had on a lunch break. Nap that changed everything. Something as small as just a little lunch break nap when she was at work.

01;49;41;12 - 01;49;42;25
Stephanie
Yes.

01;49;42;27 - 01;50;05;26
Seth
So episode 16 embrace who you are and discover your destiny. Interview with Kate. Sybil rude. We went down to Las Vegas. We were, at, at her studio to actually create with Kate and did a kind of a collaborative podcast where we filmed one extensive podcast and then co-branded it.

01;50;05;29 - 01;50;10;07
Stephanie
Right? Yeah, that was fun. I'm not used to being the one telling it first. Usually it's.

01;50;10;13 - 01;50;40;05
Speaker 3
Oh, I'm like, oh, you you tell it. Yeah. Because you. Well, actually, let me rephrase it because remember when we talked about how it was scary to date again, because we didn't want to make like the wrong choice? Yeah. Just for context. Like, if you don't know, I'm divorced twice and, you know, and we Stephanie and I talk about this is like, you have this fear of not wanting to make a bad decision or make the wrong decision.

01;50;40;05 - 01;51;00;05
Speaker 3
And, you know, so you may be you're overthinking a lot of things instead of just trusting yourself and leaning into God and prayer. But it's you were going through that. You had been on several dates and you were really trying to figure out, like, I feel like you were trying to do your research and really see what you wanted and what you didn't want.

01;51;00;07 - 01;51;30;10
Stephanie
I really enjoyed, speaking with her about single motherhood, divorce, the impact that it makes on you, and the how you, make choices to find another spouse. going back into the dating scene, just a lot of really deep topics that I think was so needed, to talk about, because like we've said, it's it's really prevalent nowadays for single moms.

01;51;30;12 - 01;51;32;26
Seth
Yeah, absolutely. Single moms, single women.

01;51;32;28 - 01;51;34;14
Stephanie
Right? Yep.

01;51;34;17 - 01;51;49;11
Seth
In fact, every time we talk with Kate, she's like, you need to talk more about this. Yeah. You know, I had to I had, literally brainstorm with session with Kate. She, you can find her on Instagram. It actually used to be Kate sells Vegas, right? Did you see she changed it?

01;51;49;13 - 01;51;51;18
Stephanie
Yes. Kate. Maybe Kate.

01;51;51;18 - 01;51;55;14
Seth
Sales creator. because it's create.

01;51;55;16 - 01;51;56;02
Stephanie
With Kate.

01;51;56;03 - 01;52;09;27
Seth
With Kate and other. You know, she's a social media and really a content marketing coach, content coach and creation coach. she's like, it's not just about creating social media. It's about creating life.

01;52;09;29 - 01;52;10;18
Stephanie
Yes.

01;52;10;18 - 01;52;19;05
Seth
Right. but she's always, you know, I had a strategy session with her, and she was I was all those topics.

01;52;19;07 - 01;52;24;25
Stephanie
Cool.

01;52;24;27 - 01;52;38;23
Stephanie
it was also really fun afterwards having our girls get together and be in the studio and acting like they were interviewing each other, like we had been interviewing each other. Oh my goodness. Stinking hilarious, I was laughing.

01;52;38;24 - 01;52;56;28
Seth
That was a highlight to watch. To watch her girl, one of her girls sitting there with glasses on. I think she might have had a piece of paper or something or something. She looked very official. Yeah, and asking our six year old or our eight year old. So tell me about your schooling. Where do you go? Oh, I'm homeschooled.

01;52;57;00 - 01;53;09;00
Seth
Wow. Really? Well, how do you feel about homeschool? What is your favorite subject? Well, you know, just it was so incredibly fun. That was fun. Thank you. Kate.

01;53;09;03 - 01;53;14;12
Stephanie
And, like you said, her one of her daughters had gone viral recently.

01;53;14;12 - 01;53;35;01
Seth
Gone viral? where she and Kate had produced a real and I. And honestly, it was just kind of one of those extemporaneous things where, Yeah. Let you know, her daughter, who's 11 or 12. Right. and goodness, I think that it's in the millions of views.

01;53;35;03 - 01;53;36;19
Stephanie
within what, like five days.

01;53;36;20 - 01;53;40;02
Seth
Why it was like 2 million. Yeah. I think it might be up to 10 million or.

01;53;40;02 - 01;53;41;02
Stephanie
Some crazy.

01;53;41;02 - 01;53;41;17
Seth
Thing. I don't know.

01;53;41;17 - 01;53;42;20
Stephanie
That. Well, current.

01;53;42;20 - 01;53;43;03
Seth
Numbers.

01;53;43;03 - 01;53;44;12
Stephanie
I thought it was hilarious.

01;53;44;12 - 01;53;46;29
Seth
So that's why.

01;53;47;02 - 01;54;05;20
Stephanie
One of those things where, you know, like, as a kid, you think you hear one thing. And so, you know, if it's a song, then you're going to sing it in the way that you think you heard it. Well, Kate got her on video singing it the way she thought it was, and then Kate telling her what it really was, and she was like.

01;54;05;22 - 01;54;10;14
Seth
She was more. She was mortified that she had made a mistake. And the subject.

01;54;10;17 - 01;54;11;29
Stephanie
It was a pretty big mistake.

01;54;12;05 - 01;54;17;17
Seth
Well, the subject master just happened to be one of those things that every adult who saw it would think it was one of the funniest things they'd seen.

01;54;17;17 - 01;54;33;09
Stephanie
And, oh my goodness. Hilarious. Hilarious. All right, so episode 17 delivered from domestic violence and the narcissistic whirlpool that was done with, Sean Johnson.

01;54;33;15 - 01;54;57;29
Speaker 3
He says you are the ugliest thing I've ever seen. I could have been with a model, and I'm said, I chose you. You. And you're attractive and all these people. This is pitiful. You're pathetic. Oh, no, don't start crying. Just keep a smile on your face. Keep laughing. And I had a fake laugh and smile. And I just kept my eyes shut because I knew my eyes would tell the story.

01;54;58;03 - 01;55;26;10
Stephanie
This episode definitely deserves a trigger warning. it actually triggered me. So that's partly why I say that I was not expecting that. And, it did stir up some some stuff that I needed to work through. So, trigger warning on this episode. it is a very good episode. it's very real and raw about domestic abuse.

01;55;26;12 - 01;55;45;00
Stephanie
and about, like, you know, the title says narcissistic whirlpool and what that looks like, you know, how you can get out of it, just also needing support in that, yeah. Go ahead.

01;55;45;02 - 01;56;01;04
Seth
This is what is this this is raw Mr. Raw episode. It's not graphic because we didn't take it there, but but like, we didn't really spare much about what happens in those type of situations. Like it. It was very factual.

01;56;01;06 - 01;56;02;00
Stephanie

01;56;02;02 - 01;56;09;28
Seth
I found it fascinating. Is not the word, but but super helpful.

01;56;10;00 - 01;56;11;10
Stephanie
Like, oh yeah, talk.

01;56;11;13 - 01;56;38;25
Seth
To somebody who's maybe on the outside, number one who just felt this. All this compassion for Sean, right? Yeah. but also, like, I was filled with wonder about, like, how does this really happen? Oh, this is how it happens and just how domestic violence, like, like it is a web. And if you boom, you like, it's like in The Hobbit, you know, where he where he like, tweaks the little.

01;56;38;25 - 01;56;44;06
Seth
They're in that forest with all the spiders, you know, and, and, he tweaks the little.

01;56;44;08 - 01;56;45;13
Stephanie

01;56;45;16 - 01;56;57;12
Seth
Web spider web. Right. And it goes right on and off like it's all interconnected domestic violence and and emotional abuse, where it typically starts. Right?

01;56;57;14 - 01;56;58;22
Stephanie
Yeah. So.

01;56;58;24 - 01;56;59;17
Seth
And sexual.

01;56;59;17 - 01;57;01;08
Stephanie
Abuse.

01;57;01;11 - 01;57;15;03
Seth
which is also connected over here in this node to potentially financial abuse. And then it's also connected maybe at some point also to physical abuse and.

01;57;15;05 - 01;57;30;05
Stephanie
Well, and spiritual abuse. you know, that I've definitely, experienced that and also have seen and heard about, you know, loved ones who've experienced,

01;57;30;07 - 01;57;40;05
Stephanie
Yeah. Spiritual abuse and all of them, I mean, like you said, it's it starts in one area and then it webs out into others.

01;57;40;08 - 01;58;01;26
Seth
I'm I'm so glad we did this episode because, you know, Michonne has a story she's that she feels now compelled to tell. She wasn't like we couldn't have talked to her about this maybe a year ago, right? Yeah. because she's, you know, processing it or just wasn't in the space to want to discuss it, right. and you can say something.

01;58;01;28 - 01;58;26;26
Stephanie
Well, it just takes so much strength and vulnerability to be able to open up, you know, to some of the deepest parts of your soul, of things that happened. And, going through some of my own experiences, I feel like it's easy to feel shame about. And, and so it's if you're, you know, feeling that shame that it's easy to not want to share it.

01;58;26;29 - 01;58;46;26
Stephanie
And, not saying that, you know, if you're not wanting to share that you are in shame, but if you are in shame, it is easy to not want to share. Yeah. And, I just, I just wow. You know, it takes such strength to be able to say, I know this is going to help someone. And so I want to share it.

01;58;46;28 - 01;58;58;05
Stephanie
I want to be in a place where I'm healthy enough to share and help others. I mean, that that is true strength and true healing.

01;58;58;07 - 01;59;11;22
Seth
It gave me insight and, almost like a a game plan, if you will. Okay. If I ever see this, here's some signs, right?

01;59;11;27 - 01;59;12;27
Stephanie
Yeah.

01;59;12;29 - 01;59;26;17
Seth
or if I see this, here's what I might say. Like, you know, her, her, her former partner's, friend or his cousin or something. Who said you are in danger? You need you need to get out.

01;59;26;19 - 01;59;28;00
Stephanie
Yeah, right.

01;59;28;02 - 01;59;38;12
Seth
just the people along the way who could see it. The people who couldn't see it. Right? The family who knew something was off. But. But so much. I mean, this goes on behind closed doors.

01;59;38;14 - 01;59;40;25
Stephanie
Yes. Right. Yes.

01;59;40;28 - 02;00;08;06
Seth
but essentially, as John put it, a Hollywood style family intervention. Okay. So that's how it could work, right? Okay. We're intervening in here like we're rescuing you. We're going in. Right. yeah, I was just I found it super insightful to an area where I really feel like I have no information, no experience, and now I know a little more, right?

02;00;08;06 - 02;00;17;12
Seth
I feel a little less completely ignorant and helpless. Right. to know what the victim right, is experiencing.

02;00;17;13 - 02;00;19;10
Stephanie
Yeah. Yeah, absolutely.

02;00;19;12 - 02;00;21;18
Seth
Thank you. Sean.

02;00;21;21 - 02;00;25;08
Stephanie
All right.

02;00;25;10 - 02;00;25;27
Seth
I'll be right back.

02;00;25;28 - 02;00;40;16
Stephanie
Okay. So episode 18. building a cheesecake empire. Learning to dream big. This interview was with Mrs. Momo.

02;00;40;19 - 02;00;46;10
Speaker 3
It's okay to dream big. It's okay to want more. It's okay to want to have money.

02;00;46;12 - 02;00;52;29
Stephanie
And it's not a negative thing. And so I think that that's something that having.

02;00;53;04 - 02;00;53;21
Speaker 3
My dad and.

02;00;53;21 - 02;01;00;11
Stephanie
Brandon around have maybe given me the space to do and to get more comfortable with, even if I'm.

02;01;00;11 - 02;01;02;08
Speaker 3
Not quite up to where they are.

02;01;02;08 - 02;01;35;04
Stephanie
But, the cheesecake queen pin is what we call her. Man, can we just get any better than cheesecake? I actually love cheesecake. One of my top, top, top favorite desserts. and I will say getting to know Maureen was such a treat. she really has a heart of gold. And it's not just about cheesecake.

02;01;35;06 - 02;01;38;16
Seth
But it is about cheesecake.

02;01;38;19 - 02;02;02;22
Stephanie
not a bad topic. yeah. Just the heart of her business and her family and and where they started and the reason why they're doing it and focusing so much on their why just made me love what they stand for and what they're creating here, you know, experiences. It's not just a dessert.

02;02;02;25 - 02;02;10;01
Seth
Absolutely, absolutely. And it's been fun because we yeah, we since we did this episode.

02;02;10;02 - 02;02;10;12
Stephanie

02;02;10;15 - 02;02;37;01
Seth
We've had a lot of great discussion with people and, you know, people watching, the episode and commenting. And you know, I, I got into a, a conversation thread with, with with Momo's grandmother, you know, who's so proud of her, but and she was watching the interview, you know, and, and while listening to the episode, I found out, Small World, that Momo's uncle is one of my best buddies from college.

02;02;37;01 - 02;02;58;18
Seth
And my early career, and, he actually said something funny. We were. We've been wanting to get together for lunch for a couple of months, and he's like, dude, you'll meet with my. You'll interview my niece on your podcast, but we can't get to lunch together. What gives here? I'm like, oh, my cheesecake exact.

02;02;58;21 - 02;03;04;06
Seth
Another funny story. What you've seen you've seen Papa momo in the store. A couple, in fact, today.

02;03;04;12 - 02;03;05;04
Stephanie
Yeah, yeah.

02;03;05;06 - 02;03;26;12
Seth
Along with Momo in one of the stores. Because you just never know. They're not always in the stores and depending on which location. But I think one of the highlights for me is one of the members of our team, Ryan, who who does all the incredible editing for the show. He texted me and he said all this something like all this talk about cheesecake.

02;03;26;19 - 02;03;36;26
Seth
I broke down and I had to go get my own. And, you know, in the South Jordan store. And he ran into Brandon, Mr. Momo, and they had a great conversation. He's like, he's such a cool guy.

02;03;36;26 - 02;03;40;21
Stephanie
But I love it, love it, love it, love it. Well, speaking of.

02;03;40;21 - 02;03;45;25
Seth
Speaking of, we can't we can't do a refresher course about what's going on without.

02;03;45;28 - 02;03;55;01
Stephanie
My, what in the world? Oh my goodness, I just.

02;03;55;04 - 02;03;57;02
Seth
So you hit Momo's today. What are we looking at here?

02;03;57;02 - 02;04;02;12
Stephanie
But we are looking at a caramel churro cheesecake.

02;04;02;14 - 02;04;07;10
Seth
Oh, my goodness. This was my choice. Like, if I had one choice.

02;04;07;13 - 02;04;09;26
Stephanie
I was like, I thought we were sharing.

02;04;09;28 - 02;04;17;12
Seth
We are sharing. But you know, when we were talking about the flavors and did you just lick that?

02;04;17;15 - 02;04;18;24
Stephanie
Oh my goodness.

02;04;18;26 - 02;04;22;25
Seth
Oh okay. So let's get into it.

02;04;22;27 - 02;04;27;25
Stephanie
I've never had this flavor before. It is so good.

02;04;27;26 - 02;04;31;06
Seth
Oh, and there's caramel on this side. The.

02;04;31;08 - 02;04;34;20
Stephanie
Oh.

02;04;34;23 - 02;04;43;06
Stephanie
That was a big bite.

02;04;43;08 - 02;04;47;22
Stephanie
Ryan, you got to go get the caramel cheese or the caramel churro this week.

02;04;47;25 - 02;04;55;01
Seth
This week. It's only here this week. Wow. Why am I always getting massive bites?

02;04;55;03 - 02;05;07;09
Stephanie
That's how you are. So that's why I like to split our things down the middle. Because I like to eat them in small bites.

02;05;07;11 - 02;05;15;28
Stephanie
Oh, wow. I was good.

02;05;16;00 - 02;05;32;14
Seth
So. We did for cheesecake, for cheesecakes for Father's Day because you said what do you want on Father's Day. And I said Momo's cheesecake. So we got the Oreo.

02;05;32;16 - 02;05;34;19
Stephanie
No, no Oreo.

02;05;34;21 - 02;05;36;22
Seth
Is that one of the. That's one of the regular flavors right?

02;05;36;24 - 02;05;38;07
Stephanie
I believe so.

02;05;38;10 - 02;05;43;05
Seth
And then they had the three new flavors for the week,

02;05;43;07 - 02;05;44;01
Stephanie
Yeah. Okay.

02;05;44;03 - 02;05;44;19
Seth
They were all they were.

02;05;44;19 - 02;05;49;22
Stephanie
All inspired by drinks. Yeah. she collaborated with the donut critic.

02;05;49;24 - 02;05;51;01
Seth
Strawberry daiquiri.

02;05;51;03 - 02;05;51;19
Stephanie

02;05;51;24 - 02;05;55;04
Seth
Momo. Mango. Nada.

02;05;55;06 - 02;05;56;18
Stephanie
And my favorite.

02;05;56;20 - 02;05;59;23
Seth
My two passion fruit.

02;05;59;25 - 02;06;00;19
Stephanie
oh my goodness.

02;06;00;19 - 02;06;03;05
Seth
Good tartness of the passion fruit sauce.

02;06;03;07 - 02;06;03;28
Stephanie

02;06;04;01 - 02;06;04;20
Seth
Amazing.

02;06;04;24 - 02;06;08;17
Stephanie
With the sweet cheesecake. Oh okay.

02;06;08;23 - 02;06;13;01
Seth
Carmel I'm sorry Carmel.

02;06;13;04 - 02;06;13;25
Stephanie
The churro.

02;06;13;28 - 02;06;16;24
Seth
Churro cheesecake.

02;06;16;26 - 02;06;23;07
Stephanie
Every time. Huge bite.

02;06;23;10 - 02;06;30;20
Stephanie
Oh you already almost say half of yours. Look at that.

02;06;30;23 - 02;06;34;02
Seth
I think we should we do. It's like we take this equal number of bites.

02;06;34;04 - 02;07;00;17
Stephanie
Oh that is not happening okay. So this one is one of my all time favorite cheesecakes. And it got messed up in the car. Otherwise it would look a lot prettier. But it is the raspberry lime. Oh, I'm so excited. This.

02;07;00;19 - 02;07;03;01
Seth
You should probably pick it up. I guess you.

02;07;03;01 - 02;07;11;16
Stephanie
Don't need to. Do you need a little bit of this? That's funny. Sauce. No, you.

02;07;11;18 - 02;07;15;14
Seth
Oh my goodness. Hahaha. Oh.

02;07;15;16 - 02;07;16;02
Seth
What is the.

02;07;16;02 - 02;07;17;22
Stephanie
Deal with.

02;07;18;00 - 02;07;19;05
Seth
Getting it on the equipment.

02;07;19;07 - 02;07;23;17
Stephanie
Room? Delicious. Oh I.

02;07;23;20 - 02;07;24;14
Seth
I just got a little of.

02;07;24;14 - 02;07;40;06
Stephanie
That raspberry sauce. Okay, that's your half. Oh, oh, look at all this fresh cream right here.

02;07;40;09 - 02;07;49;26
Stephanie
Huge bite.

02;07;49;28 - 02;07;52;29
Stephanie
Heaven.

02;07;53;02 - 02;07;53;18
Seth
You know what that was?

02;07;53;24 - 02;08;06;09
Stephanie
Yes, I do, I saw the raspberry sauce on it. Okay.

02;08;06;11 - 02;08;10;06
Stephanie
You just closed it? Yep.

02;08;10;09 - 02;08;12;04
Seth
I'm not done for now.

02;08;12;04 - 02;08;17;20
Stephanie
We are.

02;08;17;23 - 02;08;21;28
Stephanie
Home. So, with. Oh, sorry. Go ahead.

02;08;21;28 - 02;08;23;13
Seth
We still come back, mama?

02;08;23;15 - 02;08;32;23
Stephanie
Yeah. I'm just going to say a few things. some notes that we have these. Okay. Just kidding. You're going to say stuff.

02;08;32;25 - 02;08;36;28
Seth
You talk, I'll eat, you talk, I'll eat.

02;08;37;00 - 02;08;44;28
Stephanie
if that's how it works, I would be so much bigger.

02;08;45;00 - 02;09;15;05
Stephanie
anyways, so, she makes just absolutely delicious gourmet cheesecakes. Legendary. Absolutely. we've talked about, the patience and business, finding success in multiple endeavors, with business and with family. and then something else that I didn't really expect to talk about was her relationship with her spouse. I really loved that. I thought that was great.

02;09;15;07 - 02;09;45;16
Stephanie
with her spouse and then also with, her parents and, and their children. I thought it was really eye opening, you know, not just, hey, this is cheesecake, but really going behind the cheesecake how it was started. and the heart that was put into it. Yeah. And is still put into it. In fact, I will say that when we went into the into the shop today, when we got back in the truck, the girls were like, they were so kind.

02;09;45;18 - 02;10;00;13
Stephanie
And our eight year old was like, if they're still around when I'm a little bit older, I want to work for them. Yes, it was so that's good. That's sweet.

02;10;00;15 - 02;10;01;22
Seth
I keep on kicking your chair down.

02;10;01;25 - 02;10;03;05
Stephanie
Yeah.

02;10;03;08 - 02;10;05;01
Seth
I'm trying to distract you. Hey. What's that?

02;10;05;01 - 02;10;08;19
Stephanie
I can tell for the cheesecake.

02;10;08;21 - 02;10;15;00
Seth
Just cut it in half and put my half, and we'll just split half of whatever's left.

02;10;15;02 - 02;10;20;08
Stephanie
You've already tried that one on me, and then I work. All right, so first time.

02;10;20;10 - 02;10;33;18
Seth
Episode 19 sleep. The new longevity hack interview with doctor Catherine Catherine Darley out of Seattle, Washington. Fascinating. Yes.

02;10;33;20 - 02;10;35;06
Stephanie
Interview. Yes.

02;10;35;08 - 02;11;09;02
Speaker 3
Field of circadian medicine is really starting to be something that people talk about. And circadian rhythms are those 24 hour rhythms in our function that we all have. They previously have been pretty ignored by medical establishment, but we know that every organ in your body has a circadian rhythm where it does more or less of its function at different times of the day, and that circadian rhythm is the connection between the natural world and our sleep.

02;11;09;02 - 02;11;11;09
Speaker 3
Circadian rhythm is in the middle of that.

02;11;11;12 - 02;11;17;23
Stephanie
We we talked about the ten day sleep evaluation. How do you feel like that went for you.

02;11;17;25 - 02;11;19;11
Seth
Yeah. So we kind of did it didn't we.

02;11;19;11 - 02;11;20;16
Stephanie
Yeah.

02;11;20;19 - 02;11;40;19
Seth
So go check out Doctor Dali's invitation or it's actually a really simple approach. That's one thing I like to know. Well, you know, I just finished 100 Days of Yoga, and I was actually thinking about that. I did 100 days of yoga, and I'm just doing a ten day sleep evaluation, like, it's super approachable. Right.

02;11;40;22 - 02;11;41;25
Stephanie

02;11;41;28 - 02;12;08;16
Seth
So the whole deal with with me was, okay, like, I need to get more sleep and I will tell you, in the last ten days I've gotten more sleep. It's been kind of hard. Like I've basically just attempted to sleep until I wake up without my alarm clock getting me up. And I also have a pulled hamstring, a little a little slight pull on my hamstring.

02;12;08;16 - 02;12;25;29
Seth
So I've been going playing basketball because I couldn't really. So that's forced me, you know, that's given me the opportunity to say, well, I can't get up at 530 to go hit the gym for a couple of hours like a normally do. but I notice that I feel pretty rested.

02;12;26;06 - 02;12;26;21
Stephanie

02;12;26;23 - 02;12;52;10
Seth
And honestly, I'm trying to deal with it because if I sleep an hour longer, then that's an hour less of quote unquote work that I can get done. But I'm starting to really kind of have that willingness to think, well, maybe doing a little less. I feel that.

02;12;52;10 - 02;12;54;03
Stephanie
Kind of to.

02;12;54;06 - 02;13;08;03
Seth
Maybe. Doing a maybe approaching my work with more rest and more sleep, even though it might not be, it might be one hour less. It can be more effective.

02;13;08;10 - 02;13;08;26
Stephanie

02;13;08;28 - 02;13;29;07
Seth
Like, you know, we have a friend who has a company out of Hawaii called Slow Yourself Down. Right. Daisy and her husband, like, well, what if I what if I could? I really accomplish more, or could I live a happier life? That's what I should say, because it's not all just about output. Like how many, how many things came out of the factory, for sure.

02;13;29;10 - 02;13;44;28
Seth
But could I put out exactly what I wanted to the lifestyle? So I'm right in the middle of it. But I will tell you, I've gotten I've never I don't remember a time in my adult life where I've been willing just to say, okay, not for 1 or 2 days, but like.

02;13;45;03 - 02;13;45;13
Stephanie

02;13;45;15 - 02;13;55;25
Seth
Ten days of not really using my alarm. I use my alarm as kind of, okay, if you're not up by this time, you things really need like it's 130 in the afternoon. You better.

02;13;56;02 - 02;13;56;10
Stephanie
Know.

02;13;56;17 - 02;13;56;27
Seth
It hasn't.

02;13;56;27 - 02;13;58;24
Stephanie
Been was not.

02;13;58;26 - 02;14;21;16
Seth
One thing is I'm still going to bed way too late, I think, on a nightly basis. Yep. But consequently, I'm sleeping and I'm allowing myself. I'm not robbing my body of sleep. And I think that is a change that I it's been historically just would would have been difficult for me because it's like, listen, I got things to do.

02;14;21;19 - 02;14;39;16
Seth
There's life. Like we have things to do. Yeah. We do. How about you take care of your body? Do that. Right. I'm just coming to an appreciation of the non-negotiable nature of sleep in our lives.

02;14;39;18 - 02;14;40;07
Stephanie

02;14;40;09 - 02;14;44;02
Seth
If you want to have a long and productive life.

02;14;44;04 - 02;14;52;15
Stephanie
Yeah. Yeah, it was pretty eye opening. And I loved, you know.

02;14;52;18 - 02;15;19;27
Stephanie
When, you were, you know, catching on to some things and you were like, oh, I feel called out. I'm like, yes, it's not just me calling them out anymore. But now there were a lot of really good things, that I learned to help improve my health. And, yeah, I've been enjoying, you know, like she said, not turning the alarm on.

02;15;19;27 - 02;15;24;23
Stephanie
I think today was the first time that I turned the alarm on. to, to actually rugby game.

02;15;24;23 - 02;15;25;16
Seth
It was day 11.

02;15;25;17 - 02;15;35;11
Stephanie
Like not and I was like wow. Felt so good not to have to turn the alarm on. I think I want to go back to doing that.

02;15;35;13 - 02;15;37;01
Seth
Interesting.

02;15;37;04 - 02;15;39;06
Stephanie
Just an interesting.

02;15;39;09 - 02;15;41;13
Seth
Way of looking at life.

02;15;41;15 - 02;15;43;24
Stephanie
You know.

02;15;43;26 - 02;15;54;18
Seth
And this honestly, this show is causing me to look at life in different ways. And I feel like my life is richer today than it was 20 episodes ago.

02;15;54;21 - 02;15;55;28
Stephanie
Well, then it's been worth it.

02;15;56;06 - 02;16;14;02
Seth
And that's a plug for the Forever Young show to take, you know? But really it has like it's challenging me in in ways, you know, in preparing for what we're doing, the people that we're interacting with. Again, that's why. Welcome to the Forever Young Show community. Right. This this the show change. You know, it'll change your life.

02;16;14;07 - 02;16;19;10
Stephanie
Yep, yep. Well. And episode 20.

02;16;19;13 - 02;16;24;15
Seth
Which we have not officially named because it hasn't gone out yet, but.

02;16;24;17 - 02;16;38;16
Stephanie
Can I just first say how beautiful all of it is? Like, I, I love color and I am definitely a visual person and I just love how it looks like. I just took a moment to even just look at the box.

02;16;38;18 - 02;16;56;00
Speaker 3
Oh thank you. So this designed with love and the ocean. I live on the water. I'm looking at water right now in my backyard. Water is a big part of my life and it's very healing. So the theme of this kit is the ocean. And that's why you have the colors of the ocean all over in throughout inside of it.

02;16;56;00 - 02;17;01;26
Speaker 3
Because the healing factors that I found, especially personally, has been very beneficial to me as well.

02;17;01;29 - 02;17;05;13
Seth
So we're holding this sole care self-expression kit.

02;17;05;17 - 02;17;16;06
Stephanie
That was done with, Karen. And it's, healing through multi-modal self-expression. And I say that, Ron, you.

02;17;16;07 - 02;17;16;24
Seth
Know, you said it.

02;17;16;24 - 02;17;17;23
Stephanie
Right? Okay.

02;17;17;25 - 02;17;19;10
Seth
That's the first time we've ever used that.

02;17;19;11 - 02;17;21;08
Stephanie
You're laughing. So I'm like, no, I.

02;17;21;08 - 02;17;28;21
Seth
Was I was laughing because you hadn't read that yet. So I'm like, okay, let's see how she does. Let's see. Let's see where this is going.

02;17;28;23 - 02;17;30;20
Stephanie
doing soul care.

02;17;30;23 - 02;17;35;09
Seth
So Karen Hanlon, in Florida, amazing story.

02;17;35;11 - 02;17;35;26
Stephanie

02;17;36;04 - 02;17;41;29
Seth
we got the soul care boxes. In fact, I was, I was looking around for, for those too. They must be in the other room.

02;17;41;29 - 02;17;43;06
Stephanie
Yeah. One's on the.

02;17;43;09 - 02;17;54;09
Seth
but but self-expression. So when I first saw what Karen had, I immediately thought was this is about painting.

02;17;54;11 - 02;17;56;24
Stephanie
What it is, but it's not.

02;17;56;28 - 02;18;22;26
Seth
Yeah, it's not, it is, but it's not just it's not solely about painting. Right. And, you know, all of that automatically a little resistance from me because I don't find enjoyable expression in painting. Never have an art creating, creating, painting, drawing, sculpting that sort of.

02;18;22;28 - 02;18;24;06
Stephanie
I love that was a big I.

02;18;24;06 - 02;18;26;09
Seth
Love the faces that you're making as you're young.

02;18;26;09 - 02;18;28;13
Stephanie
It's like as I'm trying not to.

02;18;28;20 - 02;19;02;27
Seth
We're two hours and 16 minutes into recording, you know, the raw version here tonight. Good job. Good job. You did it. but I just, like you talked about your interaction at the art class with McKenna wooly. about maybe vulnerability and some fear with your art. Some friction or resistance in your art. Fear about what other people are going to see and judge it.

02;19;03;00 - 02;19;39;28
Seth
I've never really I've never really experienced flow when it came to creating. Now different types of work. Hey, pull out that guitar. Maybe I'll write some songs all out, you know, write some poetry or something, maybe some lyrics different. But I thought, this is going to be about art. And the big takeaway with soul, with with Karen's, Karen's offering to the marketplace or to people really is to go on a self-expression journey and to allow yourself to express things, maybe a way that you haven't before.

02;19;39;28 - 02;19;50;29
Seth
Maybe you're good at it, maybe you're not. But as multi mold mold, I can't even say it multidimensional, right? We painted.

02;19;51;02 - 02;19;51;17
Stephanie
well.

02;19;51;19 - 02;19;52;27
Seth
We journaled.

02;19;52;27 - 02;19;54;05
Stephanie
We meditated.

02;19;54;07 - 02;19;55;21
Seth
We meditated.

02;19;55;25 - 02;19;59;09
Stephanie
We had some essential oil.

02;19;59;09 - 02;20;00;26
Seth
Essential oils and.

02;20;00;29 - 02;20;02;10
Stephanie
After Mason's.

02;20;02;11 - 02;20;21;17
Seth
Yeah, we got the affirmation chart. I've got it right here by my desk, by the way. Like we do all these affirmations for our business this week. We train women entrepreneurs and coach them and like, we give them this stuff anyway. So like like we're we believe in it, right? I am enough I'm I am strong I can do this.

02;20;21;17 - 02;20;29;12
Seth
I am proud of who I am. I am beautiful inside and out. I look after myself. Any of the thoughts on Karen?

02;20;29;14 - 02;20;42;13
Stephanie
I was just really surprised by the journey. it took us on and even that outcome, for each of us. I was shocked by mine.

02;20;42;16 - 02;20;43;05
Seth
you're painting?

02;20;43;08 - 02;21;17;19
Stephanie
Yes. I was shocked by my painting. I was really enjoying and putting myself into the flow. And, at first it was a little bit hard for me to just let go of everything else and just really submit to, what I was doing and being in the moment and, and following the steps and doing it and the outcome was way better than I ever expected.

02;21;17;21 - 02;21;34;06
Stephanie
But honestly, not even just the outcome of it, but the journey of painting that was really surprising for me. I think that was probably my biggest thing for me. the next biggest thing was probably what I think.

02;21;34;06 - 02;21;36;11
Seth
I know where you're going. I'm just excited for it to come out.

02;21;36;11 - 02;21;47;20
Stephanie
Well we'll see. was what you had journals? Oh, and then your art.

02;21;47;22 - 02;22;07;12
Stephanie
Like like like I wasn't. I don't know, you're amazing at everything. And and then like. So I was expecting because you had been like, oh, yeah. It's like, not great work. I really don't do a whole lot of art. And I didn't even laugh or anything until you had told me what you thought it looked like. And then I was like, okay, great.

02;22;07;12 - 02;22;12;03
Stephanie
Now I can't get that out of my mind. So now every time we talk about it, I think about that.

02;22;12;04 - 02;22;17;13
Seth
The alien pod falling from the sky with some aliens ready to come out and hatch.

02;22;17;15 - 02;22;21;29
Stephanie
Yeah, pretty much anyways. But what were you thinking? I was going to say.

02;22;22;02 - 02;22;50;22
Seth
I thought you were going to talk about. About how you decided initially you didn't want to have the record as we went out and that, you know, not the episode itself. VIP content, walk with it. We walk you through going through the sole care, experience and opening the box, opening and using all of the parts and walking with us as we journal and paint and all that.

02;22;50;22 - 02;22;53;00
Seth
And you didn't really want to be. You didn't want to be videoed.

02;22;53;01 - 02;22;58;29
Stephanie
Oh, it's not that I didn't really want to. I heck no, don't want to.

02;22;59;01 - 02;23;19;18
Stephanie
But then something inside me said this. It's not like this is live. It's not like we're already feeding this to Ryan, our editor. Like, if you don't like it, you don't have to keep it or you don't have to share it. And I was like, okay, what? What's the problem? And just videoing it and going from there. And then I was really grateful that we did.

02;23;19;20 - 02;23;34;29
Stephanie
It's really grateful that I allowed you to film my experience because honestly, is one of those experiences that you're like, wow, this really has changed me. Yeah.

02;23;35;03 - 02;23;36;25
Seth
That's powerful.

02;23;36;27 - 02;23;38;15
Stephanie
Yeah.

02;23;38;18 - 02;24;05;18
Seth
You can watch the episode. My, So I had a really great journaling experience before the painting. And then I and I, and I didn't experience as much flow with putting the paint on the canvas. I was really working hard to not judge, you know, what I was putting out there, but still experiencing that and say, hey, I don't have to judge.

02;24;05;20 - 02;24;48;09
Seth
And so I didn't feel like what I painted was fully representative of what I was trying to accomplish. But that's part of the self-expression anyway. So for me, it was really, really awesome. I'll say I'll use the word healing because I see this as a way to just more fully develop myself, not quote unquote, as a painter. But I'm going to do some more painting and some more journaling, you know, and following that process, I think Karen's soul care approach, that kit that we did, the experience box is a tremendous.

02;24;48;12 - 02;24;50;04
Seth
Way to care for yourself.

02;24;50;11 - 02;24;50;29
Stephanie

02;24;51;02 - 02;25;01;21
Seth
Call it self therapy. some some TLC. I don't I don't know what to call it, but but for you as an individual, you know, as a woman.

02;25;01;23 - 02;25;03;02
Stephanie
Called Soul Care.

02;25;03;04 - 02;25;04;29
Seth
Yes. Soul care.

02;25;05;01 - 02;25;07;26
Stephanie
Taking care of your soul.

02;25;07;28 - 02;25;24;21
Seth
this is self-love. We're talking about soul care. like, I want our children to be able to do that and express themselves. There's so many valuable lessons in in in Karen's soul care, approach and the experiences.

02;25;24;23 - 02;25;34;24
Stephanie
And I feel like, for me, one of the most surprising things that we talked about on that podcast was how she talked to us about the different doctors that are using it.

02;25;34;26 - 02;25;35;20
Seth
Oh, yeah.

02;25;35;22 - 02;25;49;06
Stephanie
For different types of care. you'll have to go check it out to see all that, she has been able to do to help, the different types of doctors and.

02;25;49;09 - 02;25;50;08
Seth
Patients and.

02;25;50;13 - 02;25;59;18
Stephanie
And how these doctors are so for it because they see the value and what she's doing and how it's helping.

02;25;59;20 - 02;26;01;20
Seth
Way beyond my expectations.

02;26;01;22 - 02;26;02;14
Stephanie
Oh, yeah.

02;26;02;14 - 02;26;05;12
Seth
Way beyond my expectations. Hats off to Karen Hanlon.

02;26;05;12 - 02;26;27;02
Stephanie
Completely way beyond my expectations. But then once she brings that up, it's like, well, yeah, you know what I mean? It's like one of those or duh moments. Yeah. That's like oh, she was seriously thinking outside the box. Like you get a grander picture of what a gift this is. You know how it can help.

02;26;27;05 - 02;26;34;24
Seth
20 episodes. Oh, we just did 21. Get it? Well, there you go.

02;26;34;25 - 02;26;36;24
Stephanie
Why did we do this? Well.

02;26;36;27 - 02;26;47;20
Seth
Many of you may have not listened to all these episodes yet, so we wanted to kind of give you a compendium, a little encyclopedia, and just walk you through it. And,

02;26;47;22 - 02;26;55;10
Stephanie
We're like a novel,

02;26;55;13 - 02;27;03;03
Seth
So just so you know, we said, okay, if we get in there and we, you know, do 3 or 4 minutes per episode.

02;27;03;04 - 02;27;06;20
Stephanie
Now, you kept saying that.

02;27;06;23 - 02;27;21;13
Seth
I did, and then we get in here and Stephanie, like, did you take in five minutes per episode? I couldn't get a word in edgewise. so we hope you enjoyed this episode. This is the first 20, and let's go do another 20.

02;27;21;16 - 02;27;23;05
